Curses!

Gak!
This be the new BBC blurb for Silence in the Library:

One hundred years ago, the universe's greatest library was sealed off, leaving only one warning: "Count the shadows". But now, the shadows are moving again... the Doctor and Donna must uncover the terrible truth behind the Nodes and the horrifying Data Ghost, to find the library's secret.

But apparently that doesn't matter since we'll have to wait an extra week for it anyway! Yup, the Eurovision Song Contest has taken the Who limelight again.

Damn them all!

Feel free to leave comments venting your frustration, (anger is sometimes good therapy, and these are hard times) but no swear words please.

    DARN THEM! DARN THEM ALL TO HECK! Which Idiot invented the Eurovision Sonog Contest!

  6. Why are people saying that Eurovision shouldn't exist? It is extremely popular. Besides, if you stopped it, you would be taking away jobs & entertainment!

    You don't have to like it, but some people do.

  7. substituting the bbc flagship show for something nobody watches? doesnt someone need firing over this?

    ReplyDelete
  8. Gaz, no one is saying that Eurovision shouldn't exist, they're merely resenting the fact that the BBC chose to postpone Doctor Who because of it.

    Why can't Eurovision just take a different time slot! Wait, I really don't care. Youtube, plus the fact that Sci-Fi channel is showing the episodes 3 weeks behind here in America makes it fine. Maybe Sci-Fi will actually be able to catch up! YAY!

    Why couldn't the BBC put Doctor Who on red button or BBC 3 or BBC 2! WHY?!?!?!?!?!?

    ReplyDelete
  11. Well, blast it all! How could they?

    Oh, wait. I'm in the states. I guess it gives us a week to catch up but it's not like I watch it here. The SciFi channel doesn't understand the concept of proper editing for commercials. They leave quite a few things out.

    I can't believe it! I would most certainly choose Doctor Who over Terry Wogan and high pitched, ridiculous singing! Curses!

    Eurovision again?! Great, have to wait an extra week, don't know why they put Eurovision on as Doctor Who is one of the highest rated programs on the BBC! But we'll probably get a new trailer, like after 42 when we saw loads of new clips from the last eps.

    Eurovision is okay, I find it boring, prefer more Sci-Fi, and Gaz how not having it will take away entertainment (and jobs)? There's more interesting TV shows. And how won't it end sooner, okay, it'll be a week later but everyone wants to see it sooner.

    ReplyDelete
  16. Anonymous,

    It will take away jobs because people work on it all year round. They won't have a job if they stop it. And it will take away entertainment because it entertains people (it is very popular i other European countries).

    Oh, and it's shown over here because the U.K. helps fund it.

    its so unfair the way U.K get in automatically cus they started it. come on dustin the turkey! o **** my countries hopes are resting on a turkey puppet

    Even so, that's still a couple of weeks away. Unless every episode list I've seen is wrong, we still get the Agatha Christie/Giant Wasp episode between now and then.

    I just watched the episode on youtube, and the announcer during the credits said next week's episode would be at the later time of SEVEN. NOT pushed back a week. We've all been getting worked up over an extra 40 minutes of waiting!

  29. Gem-dawg: The Eurovision song contest is not next week (the Unicorn and the Wasp) its on the week after (Silence in the Library) so it is still a possibility that we'll miss it.

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    whoopee-doo.
    be happy you only have to wait three weeks.
    Going by the previous seasons, Australia's going to have to to wait at least four or five months for it to air
    Let's have a survey:
    If you would rather see Dr.Who, say yes.
    If you would rather see Eurovision, Jump out of a window.
    Actually, let's not bother with a suvey. We all know what the answer to it will be.
    DR. WHO!!!!!!!
    And I call myself a Doctor Who fan, getting the episodes mixed up like that! BAD ME! Sorry, I confused TUATW with SITL. (Acronyms, much shorter and easier way to type the episode names :D)
    ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Why don't they just put Dr Who on at a different time or put eurovision on BBC 2?
    ReplyDelete
  47. I agree with Gaz when he says:
    At least the series won't end sooner. ;)
    Because I want it to last, well as long as it can.
    As when it's over, the only series we get next year is 3 episodes !
    Although on the other hand, we'll be missing out on Doctor Who for a week. Which I am not happy with.
    Lily, :)
  49. WTF?!?! First they rob poor old Cliff Richard from his title a million years ago now they put Doctor Who off for a week for it - Tell the "Beeb" (Loved your little 'bee' tie in with the BBC btw Jess!) to air Dr Who then put the crap obviously 'rigged' music show on! Meh - I thought I had it bad in Australia - however this interrupts my viewing of the new season on Youtube for a week!
