ReplyDeleteThere's also another trailer on the BBC website of the girl talking about the library. She says 'Nobody is allowed in *MY* library,' but the library is in her mind. Could the library be the girls life/memories?

okay so theyve put they trailer up, i was too busy looking forward to it that i forgot to watch it on telly ive just replyed it about a gazillion times though and at one point it looks like the doctor it swimming through the time vortex with his sonic screwdriver:DD

Without a doubt, Davros was there. the bottom half of that dalek was waaay too wide to be anything other than Davros.

It's not that the bottom half of the Dalek was too wide, more that the top half wasn't wide enough to be anything other than a Kaled body. And was that writing above him on the wall? Looks like an F at the beginning...

ReplyDeleteyeah, rose has seemed to change, maybe her interaction with donna is before she meets the doctor. She seems a bit battle - hardy but then you would be if you lost the love of your life and live in an alternative universe where nothing really suprises you no matter how frightening. Maybe when she meets the doctor she'll be less of the 'its only just beginning' in her slightly scary voice.. and more rose heh

ReplyDeleteis 'the darkness' a story arc? toclafane mentioned it, its been in torchwood a few times, the void is 'nothing but darkness' the library is in darkness, there was that 'the darkness.....the big bad wolf' thing too in The unquiet dead

The way the Doctor looks at the Tardis screen makes me think he saw Rose calling to him, and thats how he knows she's back.

ReplyDeleteI'd say Rose looks a bit heartless (at least that's the impression given in this trailer): that man caught in a blast and she just walks away! And Doctor doesn't seem to be over the top with joy about her return, well that's probably because of a bad stuff that's coming along. Wonder how'd he react to her carrying a gun?

ReplyDeleteThe susPENSE! Is unbearable! This is why trailers drive me up the wall and I hate them...still was worth it to see the Doctor's smile about Rose though. Squee and all that jazz. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope he doesn't go all judgmental about her gun, though like the previous two posters I find it likely! Actually it would kind of explain why they've been so insistently pounding the gun issue this season, to try to build up to a conflict between the Doctor's approach and the new Rose. As if we needed to invent MORE drama for this show. Goodness goose.
...and it would also reinforce the connection between Rose and Jenny...though I have no idea what that would mean exactly...

Since Rose's gun is for Dalek fighting I dont think the Doctor's gonna care one bit.
ReplyDeleteThe Doctor won't care. He's used a gun before in the old series. Granted it was less than five times for the entire old series, but he's used one before . . . though one of those times was to shoot a Dalek's eyepiece.
ReplyDeleteOh, so it's ok to carry a gun to kill one species, but not another? :) If he won't care about a gun, I hope Martha will be there to call him a hypocrite. He's too vocal about guns, in my opinion, but if he hates them so much, he should at least comment on Rose's gun
