Squeeness!

Squeeing is what I assume many a person will be doing at the end of this episode. It is definitely a few minutes worth of OMGness!

I liked it muchly. Love all the references to Sarah-Jane, Martha and Torchwood. Don't we all need the Doctor so much!

The episode can now be seen here, here, here, and here

And if people are questioning how come the Earth even existed since there was no one to save the world from the Pyroviles/Daleks/Carrionites/Gelth/all other aliens from past episodes... all I have to say is Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey.

The trailer for next week looked so good I'll probably end up taking it to teeny tiny pieces pretty soon, with pictures and pretty things.

Hooray!

  2. I think its a little high pitched noise of excitement... not really screaming or shrieking, but still making that kinda sound when you feel you heart is going to burst, and your head is going to explode from excitement/joy etc.

    Something like that...

There was a trailer on GMTV aswell.
BTW, Noel Clarke has confirmed being Series 5 companion! Wow! Anyway, wonder if River Song is there aswell? BTW no.2, Jess, you forgot the question: And What is on Donna's back? I think Some sort of Time Beetle!

I'll be "squeeing" a lot in about one and half hours just before Turn Left starts... then I'll go ever so quiet and worry about the future for Rose, the Doctor and Donna... and of course the rest of the universe, lol.

Noel Clark as series 5 companion? Can't see how that would happen - wouldn't like it if it did.

Yeah. Don't want Noel Clarke as a companion.

  10. >>Jess, you forgot the question: And What is on Donna's back? I think Some sort of Time Beetle!<<

Well, I didn't ask that question since we sort of know its a Time Beetle! And theres a throwaway line at the end of the episode that likens the beetle to the Trickster from SJA (who is practically the same as the Black Guardian from classic Who)

    But thats not really important.

Oh God no! Please don't make Mickey the companion for Series 5, Steven Moffat! (yeah, like he's reading this). I don't hate Noel or Mickey or anything, I just don't like his character that much. I mean, sure, he was helpful and all, but he just let his girlfriend run off with some guy she just met, and then he still wanted her after being suspected and accused of murdering her because she disappeared for a year, and he didn't really try to stay hooked up with Rose. Plus, it would make more sense to make River Song companion because he already introduced her, and he could do things with her however he wanted, instead of having to have her background limited by what RTD has already given us. Oh, and I can't wait! I just have to wait about an hour or two after Turn Left airs in the UK and then watch it on youtube! SQUEE!

    ReplyDelete
  12. I can't wait! You guys in the UK are watching right now! (grumble grumble). I hope you're enjoying it! I can't wait until tonight when I get home and get to watch!

Yeah, I'm with the rest of you all. Mickey doesn't seem to add much to the story and gums up the works. Mickey just doesn't play well off of The Doctor's character. He just seems to get in the way. Like you're constantly tripping over him.

oh my gods and goddesses! what a corker of an episode and so many involved, didnt know gwen and ianto would be in it! and those two kids from sarah jane adventures or whatever its called. That episode made me realise how much i love rose andthe doctor together, so much so i see them as real people, gosh i sound like a trekkie of the DW kind. I dont want this series to end and certainly dont want to see the end of Rose as a character, shes too good a one to be resolved in 2 episodes.

bad wolf iam guessing is like tardis (i would like to think they havent given Rose superhuman powers for all of time) code for end of the universe....and filling in a blank obviously with the tardis canabalised it did not warn the doctor with BadWolf and the Master.

Amazing episode but my alcoholic mother ruined it for me as she could not get it into her head that they couldnt kill off the doctor staing " because his persona is too big". No matter how many times i retold her why he's not actually dead it was just in this episode and then explaining the story a number of times, she still couldnt accept it. Then after explaining that timelords basically need to choose to rejuvinate she then goes "well they (she means the writer) wouldnt kill the doctor as his persona his too big".,.....right back to sqaure one, really do hate her at times.

"can you help what's Bad wolf, I have seen the first episode, but what exactly is bad wolf,

Very good question. We aren't exactly sure. But in series 1, Rose absorbed the heart of the TARDIS and spread those words throughout the universe to warn the Doctor about the Daleks.

bad wolf = Rose Tyler basically.
and if rose ever came back, it would mean the end of the universe, as it would ripe apart the fabric of time and space.
So it means the end of the universe as Rose has came back . .

They wheeled out the full loud Doc music for the ending. Adds so much suspense to it.

Rose was overly subtle in trying to contact the Doctor in every episode (cringeworthy as he always turned round at the wrong time), yet she made up for it at the end this episode - the way the Police Box sign had changed to Bad Wolf - hilarious! Nobody could miss that!

RTD in "another decent script" shocker.

As for the folk saying Mickey wouldn't make a good compainion... Well, after Tate's appearance in the xmas special I was all for not bothering to watch this current series at all. Hated her in the xmas special (and don't much like her comedy show either), and I thought it would ruin the show this year, but she ended up impressing me and I'm glad I kept watching.

So, if Mickey really is joining (and I kinda doubt it to be honest) I'd be more than willing to see how it tuns out before making a judgement.

The ship is either a Dalek or Adipose mothership. If it's a Dalek ship, we're probably on earth, which makes it... the moon? If it's an Adipose ship, we could be at the Shadow Proclamation, which means I have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about! Cheers.

I’ll react backwards, there will be SPOILERS for turn left.

The Trailer: GWEN!!!!! AND ALL OF TORCHWOODY GOODNESS!!!!!! Come on Jack, don’t be useless.
I heard a Dalek laughing?? Or was that Davros…?
Torchwood is back, SQUEEE! (Yeah, I’m gonna do that a lot)
I think I saw Harriet Jones and a Red Dalek, so that’s true!!! Sweet…
    ---Actual Episode---
OMG, RED!?!??! Cannibalized TARDIS with reference to the end of the Universe? Uh oh…
I’m useless as a Wholigan. When Rose said “Two words” I was thinking, “Davros Lives” or “Missed You” and not “Bad Wolf” Which was obvious. But seeing “Bad Wolf” everywhere with that music was so UNBELIVEABLY fanwanky.
Ugh, is he gonna EAT the beatle??
[the rest of the episode can be divided into one of the following reactions at various points]
    *ROSE! SQUEEE!!
    *OMG, they killed {Martha, SJS, SJS’s companions, Jack/Gwen/Ianto, etc}
    *Love you, Donna.

My only unhappiness about this episode was that there was no Ross. : ( The rest of the episode was PURE GOLD.
PS: Rofl, most of America is dead. Such a perfect ending for us Yanks. Oh wait, damn, it’s not permanent.
    PPS:
    Donna: "Were you and he...?"
    Rose: "..."
    URG!!!! ANSWER THE QUESTION!!

  78. AWESOME show, they get better each week.It was very well written,I liked the scene with the "Labor Camp" that got me,and was sad.
I like the Trickster better on Dr Who because he can be more darker.SJA is a good show but it's more for younger viewers. The Trickster could be more of a scarey threat on Dr.Who or Torchwood.
They should make the Trickster either The Master or The Valeyard from Trail Of A Time Lord.Isn't he supossed to be an evil regeneration of the Dr. between his 10th and 12th regeneration?
They could have the Doctors severed hand play a part in his creation.Just a thought....

Here's a theory of mine: A lot of people are talking about how Bad Wolf symbolizes the end of the universe, at least it SEEMS like it does in the episode because of how it's all presented. I personally really don't think that Bad Wolf has anything to do with the end of the universe. I think it was just some badly timed events and some tricky dialogue (obviously on purpose though). What we have here is two different things happening, Rose is coming back and the supposed 'end of the universe'. Obviously Rose is coming back BECAUSE of that, but the Doctor can't really know that yet. I think that he was excited when he saw Bad Wolf, yes, but as soon as he walked into the Tardis and saw the red he forgot about Bad Wolf for a split second, because the red (which is signaling the end of the universe) was a much bigger deal! Honestly, I don't think it has a connection to Bad Wolf, we have no reason to, since all we know that it does (from past experience) is bring the Doctor and Rose back together. I also don't think it means the end of the universe because if Rose was going to make them collapse, it probably would have happened by now. The Doctor also knows that Rose wouldn't be stupid enough to make them collapse on purpose.
So yeah, thats my idea, what do you think? I guess we really won't know until next week!

AAAAA! Just adding more squueeee!!! Just finished watching and screaming :) Way tops the Master's come back, in my opinion.
Funny, I didn't think of 'Bad Wolf' as last words, but during the episode I kept thinking that it's not Rose, it's Bad Wolf, just because she was so odd, superpowerful Rose, somehow didn't quite click.
Of course, they still haven't explained anything as to how she travels or how did she know about the need to fix the timeline.
Again, if she's a Bad Wolf than she'd know about what happens with/without the Doctor.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I don't think it stands for paradox machine, I think it's just an ominous signal of really, REALLY bad stuff about to happen to time and space. Which, of course, being cannibalized to become a paradox machine certainly qualified. There may be a paradox going on, but the TARDIS isn't a paradox machine this time.

If you notice, there's none of the contraptions the Master used to turn the TARDIS into a paradox machine attached to the console. Everything looks normal except for the red light.

Sometimes, Rose acts like 'Oh, yea, I meant to go through the void and end up on 'real' Earth.'

But, then [was it in the park? Or the alley-way?] Donna asks 'what was that, fireworks, or something?' and Rose replies:

'I don't know, I was just walking along the street and...' [So, it's not the parallel Torchwood?] which implies that she can't control when she 'hops.'

But. Wait. Look back to PIC, she faded when she wanted to, or so it seemed. And the echo.

Seemed like she was inside someplace tiled, or a hard surface, very unlike concrete or asphalt she was on- unless she had on stilettos.[most likely not, so my guess is she was in the Parallel TW.]

So, maybe she can control going back to Pete's world, but can't control how she gets to our world? Or does it have something to do with the whole 'Donnna's Alternate Reality' thing?

    Am I over-anylizing [sp?] this?
And, [last thing] how does Bad Wolf mean the end of the world when it didn't mean that last time?
