The last BBC update!

Are we getting a little teary eyed? Meh, maybe not then, but this time it really is the end, the time really is nigh! Anywho, yes, BBC site update... UK people can view it here

And other people can just stay here, hello!
Well, unfortunately, they're STILL not giving much away at all really. The preview clip is basically the same as the Blue Peter one, and theres no Fear Factor...

Ah well, still got the jigsaw

And this script extract:

FRANCINE: What are all those numbers?
MARTHA stands, starts hoisting the Indigo Project
MARTHA: Grid reference. Now Jack's explained the base code, I know how this teleport works. I think. But you stay indoors, theres no Daleks on this street, you should be alright, just keep quiet.

Here's the preview clip:

The Journey's End page has now been updated with all the new info.

  2. What?! What?! What?!

Jack and Rose captured by Daleks? Anyone else notice the absence of Donna and the Doctor in these released pics?

    Agghhhh! Hurry up Saturday!

I'm sooo excited! I can't wait. Is it wrong that I refuse to go into college to help on a play on Sunday because I'll still be hysterically sobbing?! Lol

Managed to avoid any major spoilers but there don't seem to be many. The BBC have certainly managed to keep this storyline secret!

3 days, 5 hours and 59 minutes to go!

Rubbish clip! Very short. But I guess they cannot show much without giving away what happens in the regeneration or spoiling the ending

From the very little info we have I hypothesize that the Doctor is on the Dalek Mothership (or whatever it's called) prisoner, and the companions are getting themselves captured in order to save him. Clearly Jack came up with this plan, 'cause it isn't a good one.

  10. Hmmm! Mixed feelings! I can't wait to see the episode, but I don't want the series to end. The hiatus approaches!!!!

  11. Isn't the absence of the fear forecast a direct contradiction of its purpose in the first place?

    ReplyDelete
  12. The absence of the fear forecast is to not let anything at all out. First few words in we could tell what happens with the regeneration. As much as we all want to know I bet none of us really would want to read it there.

I agree, the regeneration would stop all the speculation, but that would be a shame because some of it is soooo far out that it is hilarious! Besides, the anticipation will make the episode seem more special!

  14. As if the Fear forecast gives away anything but "Amy bites her nails", "Everyone gasps." and "The children are already speculating." before the episode is aired.

In the Sarah-Jane Adventures, she reprogrammes Mr Smith and his primary objective which is now to 'safeguard the Earth.' I wander if Mr Smith has something to do with helping the companions and others protect the Earth. That would be good.

When I realised it was Wednesday, I got all excited. PREVIEW CLIP TIME! And then, ONE GREAT BIG HUGE ANTI-CLIMAX. Awwwwwwwww. I wanted a new preview clip. Not the Blue Peter one.

Hm, given how we see Rose and Captain Jack, but no Doctor (yet) I wonder if they'll do a nod to 'Christmas Envasion'?

Doctor 'regenerated' (hopefully back into himself), but is still recovering/unconscious/out/taken for dead by companions. Tardis is beamed onto Crucible. Rose and Captain Jack (no Donna?) step outside to try to do something. Then Doctor wakes up, steps out: 'Did you miss me?' Then a swordfight with Davros ... er, maybe not (but it'd be cool! I loved that swordfight!)

But I wonder, even as he regenerates back into himself (2 selves?) would he spring back into action or will he need some time to recover? Cos we don't want Doctor to sleep half of the final episode! Although didn't official discription said: Doctor is helpless?

the base numbers on the vortex manipulator, what are they exactly as martha starts using them?

i also hate the way martha seems to explain stuff/ goes all geeky on us, annoys me for some reason, just her tone or acting abilities, and no-one would really waffle on for ages how they worked out something worked....i know its used to explain to the viewer but.....gah!

The one the BBC put out was almost exactly the same clip, only pushed up a few seconds so we started when they were already walking through that big doorway.

    You didn't miss anything.

And to think I wasted my time waiting for it to load on a proxy server so I could watch it on the official site when all it did was show less than the Blue Peter clip, except for Sarah Jane's face at the end.

Does anyone else feel incredibly let down by the new preview clip?

    ReplyDelete
  30. Nope, they're keeping it a secret and I like that. I keep sabotaging myself by going online too early (before the episode itself is up), and getting spoiled by clips of bad wolves and regenerations. NOT THIS TIME, INTERNET!

The delight is in the anticipation not the episode ...

As the sixth Doctor said in 'The Two Doctor's' 'What's the use of a good quote if you can't change it!'
    :-)!

    ReplyDelete
  33. I agree with n.t. I'm in great suffering waiting until saturday but secretly rejoiced that the BBC is really keeping us in the dark and building momentum until the episode. I also sabotage myself very quickly when it comes to spoilers. Please make it be saturday!!!! in the meantime.........YOU DIE!!! EVIL PIECE OF BREAD AND BUTTER!!!!
Are you guys entirely sure we can't go faster?!

    HEY FELLOW WHOVIANS!!!!

    Here's my 2 cents worth.

I've noticed that the Doctor's severed hand has been prominent this season. Also, in the Doc's Daughter the Doctor got an interesting mark on the back of his hand, which was like the scars on the back of the hands of those touched by the nanogenes in The Empty Child, and the Doctor Dances. What also caught my attention, was just prior to the to the regeneration they kept zooming in on the Doctor's right hand (the same hand that had the mark on the back of it). I don't think it was just a matter of him having been hit by the Dalek death ray on the left side. I think there might have been a greater point to pointing out this hand twice prior to the regeneration. Go back and look at the ending.

What I think is the severed hand is going to become one Doctor, DT will stay the same, and the third Doctor has something to do with the hand that had the mark on it. Like the third will be grown in a similar fashion as Jenny. The fact that his hand hand had the same mark on it as in the Doctor Dances can't be a coincidence.

I'm going to play Devil's Advocate and say it is, in fact, a coincidence. I don't disagree that the hand's going to have something to do with the regeneration, though. It could absorb the entirety of the regenerative energy itself and be reduced to a dessicate husk. *crackfic* Later, Davros has it grafted on in place of his mechanical hand, and becomes possessed by the Valeyard.

I think that Donna will die and get ressurected by some sort of Sontaran cloning technology, thats why the doctor says she must never know, to Wilf

    ReplyDelete
  37. Hmmm, new rumors and speculation have been un-earthed regarding Donna.

She be a lady of time apparently...

    ReplyDelete
  38. Lol Jess, no so new around here really. We've been saying that kinda since Turn Left two weeks ago. Hell I started speculation of descendant of Susan's and/or The Doctor's. (and/or in place because we aren't even certain Susan was his real granddaughter).

Two hearts it sounded like there, after her first death as I said before. Though that contradicts Jenny having two hearts which contradicts earlier episodes... but it's all wibbly wobbly <.< err I mean what happens when you get a show with such a huge history.

Also would explain why she changes time around her like The Doctor, going back to when she was little. Perhaps Wilf is secretly a Time Lord lol, would explain all that interest in aliens :p. Or she's an orphan from the war left on earth and the Time Lords who put her there modified memories.

Ooh we also have someone from Barcelona on here. Woot! I wonder if they have one of those dogs with no noses.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Aye, but hearing it from someone who's got good sources kinda makes it more official in my eyes... speculation is fun, but I was just being cautious!

Oh, and apparently Doctor 10.5 is not as nice.

Here's a thought: The chameleon arch: What if she uses it to change herself for something or something or nothing.

  42. I think the Doctor's hand has something to do with this...

Did you notice the part where Donna was sitting on the stairs of the Shadow Proclamation and there was the sound of drums like the master heard, or was it a heatbeat...

But I still do NOT want david Tennant to leave!

Just a couple of thoughts that just came to me.
In the Xmas special after the first series, the 10th Doctor complained that he wasn't ginger. Unless I'm colour-blind, Donna has ginger hair.

Also, at the end of the Planet of the Ood", the Ood tells the Doctor "your song must end soon" ...

    ReplyDelete
  44. AnonymousJuly 04, 2008

The Doctor's song did end soon after, River Song (in a manner of speaking)

    ReplyDelete
  45. AnonymousJuly 04, 2008

Maybe Donna is Jenny regenerated and memory wiped...
    hahaha

But really, I cannot WAIT to see this Sunday. As I live in the US and work Saturday night and have NO working computer of my own*tear*.
It will be a sad sad ending because then we will have to wait till December. :(

    ReplyDelete
  46. I'm sorry, but I've watched the episode four times now and I still don't hear drums during that part with Donna on the stairs.

Just a heartbeat. That's it. Which, yes, is important and means something, but I don't hear any drums at all.

anyone else notice how, on the video page on the bbc website, they have a picture of davros, and a picture of Attack fo the Graske underneath

Davros and Graske looked the same...

  48. AnonymousJuly 04, 2008

I really hope Jenny DOES NOT = Donna. It would cheapen the way Donna cared about her when no one else did.

Never mind the Graske and Davros looking the same (which I don't think they do) - what about the Graske looking like Noel Fielding from the Boosh?
