Apparently there may be a scene (just one) filmed later this week that includes David Tennant and Billie Piper who are supposedly listed on the Call Sheet as "The Other Doctor" and "Rose Smith".
The scene is 165 which is after the bookstore scene, and very near the end of it all... perhaps right around the time a regeneration would happen??
So will it be Rose and 10.5 turning up to say goodbye? Or helping with the regeneration? Or perhaps it'll just be a reaction shot - since 10.5 is linked to 10 perhaps he just feels when 10 is regenerating?
Who knows, but another rumour thats been hinted at is that the Doctor regenerates alone in the TARDIS - so no companion will be with him.
Obviously these are just rumours at the moment, but if its true then I wonder when Martha will be turning up - they can't really just leave her out can they?

Oh my god...I was hoping for some kind of regeneration-reaction scene where 10.5 senses it and we get a glimpse into his and Rose's happy ending, but I never thought it was a REAL possibility! This sounds like it might actually happen! How exciting! :D
ReplyDeleteI wonder what will happen with Rose and 10.5 if, as many hope, Gallifrey returns and travel between universes is possible again. Might me we can see the happy couple occasionally. And even if we don't, wow, this would be amazing. Now we just need to hear that Freema's filming and I will be able to completely forgive there being no full series this year.
ReplyDeleteMaybe not - most of Freema's stuff for the S4 finale was indoors, so we might not actually see her filming this time - especially as with both Rose and Jack, these seem to be short cameos.

Ugh, I am so sick of Rose. It's like she's the be all and end all of New Who, I just wish that RTD would get over her and give her a permanent exit. And she better not be pregnant, I do not want another child of the Doctor around, that role's Jenny's at the moment. The whole 10.5 thing was bad enough. Thank god Stephen Moffat is all I can say, hopefully he'll be able to create some semblance of a good show after the mess that RTD's going to make of the finale.

ReplyDeleteI THINK YOUR BEING VERY HARSH ABOUT RUSSELL T DAVIES! It is hard enough being the main writer of a popular bbc show, but he is doing good. And why are you so obssesed with rose! she was the beggining character in series 1 and carried onto series 2 until she left. They thought it would be good to bring everyone back at the end of series 4 and they did, inlcluding her! And of course they are gonna bring her back if everyine come back again, come on she was david tennants first companion she has to be there to see his death( or regeneration)

ReplyDeleteMaybe rtd have no further imagination, so he keeps bringing all characters back. I'm all right with all characters coming back because it's the last Tennant thing, but not Rose! She is in a paralel univers, with her Doctor, and she can have the life she wants, but not coming back every year!
It's really silly, almost like the daleks, who are destroyed, and who came back every year!
Don't get it wrong, I like Rose, but the serie moved on, she's the past! And I was fed up with her love for the Doctor anyway. I don't want the Doctor to be in love with someone, I don't want him to have kids (I would prefer Jenny to be dead....). Although I would love to learn more about the Doctor's wife and their kids.
But please stop the "rose's coming back thing" really tiring in the end....
Definatly looks like an epilouge to Russel's era. This is probably the final scene of the special, or the penultimate one. A friend of mine joked that RTD was going to rip off the final scene of Battlestar Galactica, with Doc 10.5 and Rose walking through the bustling public of a city on their world....

Sometime in the future when we have a different Doctor, I would love Billie and David to come back, but right now I think we should just focus on Donna and The Master!

ReplyDeletei love rose too, but i hope it's just some quickie reaction scene when the regen happens...maybe rtd is doing this because DT announced he's leavin in the middle of all this from way back on s4 and now...dunno, but would be nice to just have the one reaction scene and have them be back in their world, end of story. that way DT could sorta still come back later for an appearance if he wanted to down the road..like if matt smith ends up sucking lol....O.o (because i'm just not sure how well it's gonna do...) it would leave it all open for appearances way down the road..although i dont see DT coming back anytime soon..;/
