Planet Gallifrey: September 2009

Wednesday, September 30

The time for suspense is over!
As you can see from the fantastic banner that now sits atop this blog, the banner competition has reached its end.

Congratulations
Miranda Scruggs!

Miranda's beautiful and detailed artwork just blew us away. The fluidity of it was something we hadn't seen before. Its very pretty, no?

We would like to say an enormous thank you to everyone who entered. We were literally blown away by the number of beautiful banners that were sent to us... and the number of them as well! They were amazing, and every one of you should feel immensely proud of what you achieved.

So here they are in no particular order :)

Absolutely beautiful aren't they?

In fact, we really do love them so much, that we're going to make sure they're used somewhere on Planet Gallifrey. Maybe not all at once, but they'll definitely be reappearing. It'd be such a waste to just let them go!

Once again, thanks to everyone who entered :)

Master John Simm

Up until recently everyones been very tight-lipped about the finale. Not any more though! Here's an Interview from the BBC with John Simm who will be returning to play the Master.

Dr Who end a 'brilliant send-off'

The final scenes in Doctor Who are a "brilliant send-off" for David Tennant, his co-star has said... He says he had loads of fun working on David Tennant's last episode, which are now complete.

"It's all done," he said. "I've just spoken to David (Tennant) and he hasn't seen it either. We're doing some dubbing... Hopefully we'll see a bit of it then. I'm looking forward to seeing it. It was a great script and we had such fun doing it.

"It'll be a brilliant send-off for Mr Tennant. Last time I did it it was such fun to do. It was wonderful to be asked back and to be in the very, very last one.

"To go head-to-head with him was a really honour. It was lovely to be asked. It was a great, great experience. We had such fun doing it. Hopefully it'll come across."

You can also listen to an interview John Simm did on the Jonathan Ross show over at BlogtorWho. I'm not sure, but I think it might be similar to the interview above :)

Sarah Jane preview

CBBC has issued a general press release for the upcoming Winter/Spring line up, and there are some Sarah Jane clips from Prisoner of the Judoon to tantalize us!

And here are some screepcaps for ya!
