The trend of low viewing figures continues this week with
The Pandorica Opens peaking at 5.9m. Even though the figures are lower than previous series', the episode gained an audience share of 30% and was the most watched show of the night.
Overall, the press reaction was positive.
The Daily Telegraph called it "sensational ... a gripping adventure with plenty of shocks and surprises." Meanwhile,
The Guardian commented on "the most dramatic cliffhanger in Doctor Who history,"
Seeing everyone lose was awesome. I agree with the Guardian as the most dramatic cliffhanger Although I can't recall any program with a cliffhanger like that except the old black and white programs where they changed the beginning the following week.
ReplyDeleteLove the crack. It's awesome.
I think personally that in this serie the sound effetcs and the music was too loud and I couldn't hear the talking and the dialogues.
ReplyDeleteP.S : Love this website and Doctor Who !!!
The perverse old sod in me prefers having great WHO and lower ratings than sentimental cheese and higher ratings.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't surprise me that the ratings were low! It wsn't that good- this season has been a huge disappointment!!!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit I like the fact that more people watched Doctor Who than the football :-)
ReplyDeleteI loved it But in this series the sound effects and the music was too loud and some people couldn't hear what the actors were saying ...
