The Stolen Earth
Aliens/Enemies: Daleks
New Characters: Captain Jack, Gwen, Ianto, Sarah-Jane, Luke, Martha, Rose, Mickey, Jackie, Wilf, Sylvia, Francine Jones
Gadgets Used: Unknown
Episode Objective: To save the universe
Earth's greatest heroes assemble in a time of dire need, but can the Doctor's secret army defeat the might of the new Dalek Empire?
With battles on the streets and in the skies, the Doctor and Donna must brave the Shadow Proclamation to find out the truth. However, a fearsome old enemy waits in the shadows...
*cough* Children of time *cough*
And yes... "One of them will die"
DigitalSpy say a female we know very well will be exterminated this weekend. And just because I live in denial of any of them dying, I'm going to say its the TARDIS.
In this episode, there is the line:
"Don't use project Indigo, it's not safe!"
Oh, and according to Freema "the disappearing bees play a big role" but the question isn't why the bees are going, but where. Could they REALLY be making bees into a new Dalek army?
Nope, they couldn't. They just went home... like Elvis.
Set Reports/Trailer Shots
(I believe that these reports & shots fit into the episode, either because I've been told, or because its obvious. But REMEMBER, theres a chance I could be wrong)
So, in the previous episode the Doctor was dead, there was an alternate world, and Donna and Rose teamed up to make sure Donna met the Doctor in the first place. We ended on a fun note of seeing the words "Bad Wolf" everywhere, and the Doctor stating it was the end of the universe.
1st Scene - TARDIS Troubles
Right, so we ended with a red TARDIS, perhaps its wise to assume we might start the episode with a red TARDIS?
And it seems to be on fire as well...
Right, so we ended with a red TARDIS, perhaps its wise to assume we might start the episode with a red TARDIS?
And it seems to be on fire as well...
Hmm, but it seems to calm down again as the Doctor and Donna arrive back at earth

Or... at least where Earth used to be.
But now all there is is empty black space. It can't be an encouraging site really.

DOCTOR: There's no readings. Nothing. Not a trace. Not even a whisper. Ohh thats fearsome technology.
DONNA: So what do we do?

DOCTOR: We've got to get help
DONNA: Where from?
DOCTOR: Donna. I'm taking you to the Shadow Proclamation. Hold tight!
And off they go!
Now, this scene must fit in somewhere, and I reckon that it'll probably be earlier on in the episode (no idea why, just a complete guess)
I suppose when they're traveling, the Doctor will say something about Rose and Bad Wolf and how they link etc etc. So Donna catches onto the important bit:
"Rose is coming back!
No matter whats happening..."
"Isn't that good?"
2nd Scene - On Earth
Right, so, Earth's gone. Doctor and Donna trying to find it again. But what about the people actually on Earth? What about the Doctor's chums?

Who do we have? Well:
Sarah-Jane - Her and Luke are at home
Martha & UNIT - Currently in New York
Torchwood - Jack, Gwen & Ianto are in the Cardiff base
Wilf & Syliva - At home wondering what the hell is going on
Rose - What looks like the same place we last saw her, the big warehouse. UNIT/Torchwood? Parallel UNIT/parallel Torchwood?
In case people don't really know about the SJA, the boy, Luke, was created by aliens and is very very clever, but lacks some understanding of social expectations - he questions what fun is etc. Since he has no family, Sarah-Jane adopted him.
Anyway, they all must know that something has gone wrong. Perhaps they see all the stars have gone out since they're now in a new galaxy and whatnot?
"It can't be..."
"Impossible..."
"Oh My God, Its them alien lot... WHAT DO YOU WANT THIS TIME YOU BLIMMIN SWINES?! Now you get back inside Sylvia. They always want the women."2nd Scene - Whats going on?
Right, so Sarah-Jane & Luke rush inside to talk to their super alien computer Mr Smith, Torchwood rush to their computers, and UNIT rush to their technology in a bid to find out what's going on.
Right, so Sarah-Jane & Luke rush inside to talk to their super alien computer Mr Smith, Torchwood rush to their computers, and UNIT rush to their technology in a bid to find out what's going on.

From the looks of the screens in the background of UNIT, and the images from Mr Smith, Earth has been taken somewhere new with lots of other planets nearby, and some strange atmospheric reading.

Hokay, so not good. Earth is clearly completely somewhere else. And there's no sign of the Doctor. Where are they? Who did this? What are they going to do?

This is General Sanchez, who I presume is in charge of the New York section of UNIT. But that doesn't matter, Martha's still there and she's got a certain amount of experience with this kind of thing.

Bet she's saying they should ring Torchwood and collaborate their info. Obviously she might not be, just guessing.
I dunno if Sanchez agrees, but Martha rings them anyway.

And then we get the big reveal of whats going on... whats coming through the Darkness...
Yup! Daleks!
3rd Scene - The Invasion
Daleks are the masters of Earth!
Daleks are the masters of Earth!

So... we've got Daleks attacking, the world in peril. And it looks like they're under orders from this guy.
Yup! This is the new Dalek Supreme, and is definitely a bit different. Its got three head lamps and what looks like some big clamps as part of its casing. What are the clamps for? To keep something secured inside? Well, the the rumors are that inside this red casing is Harriet Jones herself... All lies!
Note that other sources suggest that Harriet is NOT inside the Supreme Dalek.
And theres have been suggestions for her fate:
- Harriet Jones is exterminated simultaneously by three Daleks.
- We do not actually see her exterminated, just surrounded by Daleks who say they know who she is before the screen goes blank
- She "doesn't apologise for anything"
- What is said when she is exterminated is "succinct" and sad.
Sarah-Jane & Luke
Well, there are hints from DigitalSpy that suggest "A Dalek speaks to Mr. Smith", so I suppose we can assume that one of them breaks into Sarah-Jane's house

And do you know what I think? I think the Dalek takes Luke away... back up to its big Dalek ship. He's a super genius after all and can probably help them with their diabolical plans
Completely wrong with that guess. Never mind.
So, Sarah-Jane is left on Earth, in her car, and fleeing. Unfortunately, while she's driving she's attacked by some Daleks

Rose
She's been seen wandering about with her giant gun and blowing things up... maybe Daleks but who really knows. Sounds super fun.

As well as this, there was a milk float being filmed which was being rocked about (presumably driving away from something very fast) while Rose was hanging about (near, or even on) the float. She's got a very very big gun, which she cocks, and she then looks up into the sky, presumably at a Dalek.

And what happened to the milk float? Well it crashes, smashes all the milk bottles, the Milkman gets out and looks up at (Dalek) whatever's in the sky as well.

"Right, now we're in trouble..."
"It's Only Just Beginning"
UNIT
Looks like the Daleks are inside the UNIT headquarters... if you look carefully at the first pic, you can see what looks like the UNIT logo above the doorway.

And this below almost looks like an action shot, doesn't it? Lets hope we get some Martha action. Martha action is always fun.

And the Daleks aren't just in UNIT, nope, they've also appeared in Torchwood as well. Eliminating all the people who have a chance of standing against them. aka. the Time Team.
Torchwood
As the Torchwood team try to fiddle with computers, there's not much they can do as they go haywire, and something approaches the Hub.

Gwen and Ianto approach the huge doorway (which nothing can apparently get through) I dunno where Jack is at this point, maybe he's vanished away.
And then the door begins to open... and what should appear?A Dalek?! Who would have guessed it!

Somehow I don't think guns are going to work, but what else can they do? Maybe they manage to damage the eyestalk and blind the Dalek.
4th Scene - Human Hostages
So Daleks are attacking the Earth's defences, but the Time Team are fighting back! However, this doesn't seem to be worrying the big bad behind it all.
So I guess he sends out more Daleks now... and they're not just any Daleks either, they're shiny gold Daleks! Shiny, gold Daleks who are taking people prisoner? How unlike Daleks!

DALEK: All humans will come out of their homes. The males. The females. The descendants. You will follow us. Resistance is useless.

But, as what happens most times, there's a family who would rather not listen to the giant space dustbins.
MAN: Laura, get back in the house! Simon, get inside! What do you want with us?
DALEK: Daleks do not answer human questions!
MAN: Leave us alone. Go back in the sky where you came from!
[DALEK trundles forward threateningly]
DALEK: Maximum extermination!
[A giant explosion follows]
So, lesson learned, do not cross the Daleks.

Halfway up the road, three Daleks have appeared and are trundling around on the pavement outside a house. The people are ranged up in the road behind the Daleks, hands on their hands in a prisoner-of-war style.
A flash of red light? Something like a transporter type thing? Either way, these poor people are being taken to the Dalek Cruciform. Are we going to see another Dalek generation created out of people?
5th Scene - Wilf & Sylvia
Theres someone watching all these hostages. While the evil gold Daleks are stalking the streets and red light is flashing everywhere, Wilf and Sylvia are in an alleyway.

Then... probably the same scene, or possibly a different one, they have a nice conversation about paint guns.
WILF: I've got a weapon.
SYLVIA: It's a paint gun!
WILF: Exactly! Daleks have only got one eye. One splodge of paint and they're blinded!

In a different, or possibly the same scene, we see Sylvia and Wilf running quickly across the street, before suddenly pulling up to a stop in front of a Dalek. Wilf is armed with his paintgun.

DALEK: Hostility will not be tolerated. You will come with me
WILF: Will I 'eck!
[He raises the paintgun and fires at the Dalek]
DALEK: My vision is *not* impaired. EXTERMINATE!!!!
Following on from this, theres a flash of red light and the Dalek's death cry trails off into an anguished wail. So lets assume the Dalek was shot.
And apparently the shooting of the Dalek is all down to Rose, who appears on the scene.

There was some dialogue that followed which was something along the lines of:
ROSE: Are you Donna Noble's grandfather? I'm Rose Tyler - and I need you
Rose apparently spends a large part of the episode helping Wilf and Sylvia, and not really getting much of the action. Or, at least, not as much as everyone else.
6th Scene - Shadow Proclamation
I guess its time to see what's happening with the Doctor and Donna and the Shadow Proclamation.
They apparently find it providing refuge for those species whose planets have already disappeared. (aka the Slitheen and the Adipose, yup, we see them again.)
The Judoon are apparently policing the Shadow Proclamation (asserting their authority and all that) and we know how they like to execute extreme justice.
But, the Doctor plunges on, taking the floor, talking very fast and intelligently like he always does while Donna sits in the back and listens.

I have no idea what the Doctor is talking about to be honest, but he clearly wants to know something. Most likely along the lines of: Whats going on? Where's the Earth? Why is Bad Wolf everywhere? Why did my TARDIS internally combust? What are you going to do about it? What can I do about it? Whats the danger?
But, as the synopsis says they must "brave" the Shadow Proclamation, perhaps we can assume there something sinister about them? Theres definitely something there that takes the Doctor by surprise.
And who's he talking to you may ask?

He doesn't seem that scared though, so nothing horrifically shocking or life threatening... maybe just something else bad.
And who's he talking to you may ask?
Well, these strange blond people are known as the Shadow Architects, and they're in charge of the Shadow Proclamation. I assume this one below is the leader or the head Architect.
"Doctor, come back!"She doesn't seem to want the Doctor to go... maybe he's stormed off as they wont help, or maybe they just don't want him to go and do something life threatening like, oh, I don't know, save the whole of time and space?
I'm just guessing here.
But we don't even know what the Shadow Proclamation knows. They're a UN type organization, but of what? Time and Space? The Universe?
I'm just guessing here.
But we don't even know what the Shadow Proclamation knows. They're a UN type organization, but of what? Time and Space? The Universe?
7th Scene - Reuniting
A heartbreaking scene at the end of the episode that involves, the Doctor, Donna, Rose and Jack.

NOTE: The scenes were most likely not filmed in order, and I have attempted to put them into some sort of coherent storyline, but of course, I could be way off.
From how desolate and empty the set it, I'm guessing that everyone has either been killed, or has been taken to the Dalek Crucible.
Part 1
Simply Captain Jack on his own. So he somehow escaped the Daleks in the Torchwood Hub. No sign of Ianto or Gwen though. He walks up the street, looking upwards
So has he seen the sky as well?
According to Barrowman: "There's always the possibility that when the Doctor needs help, he calls on Jack... He's the muscle and guns man"
Jack is allegedly the last of the companions to be introduced to the plot and meet up with the gang. He's brought in as the gang realize they need more muscle, Jack is very much in "Save the Day" mode for the finale
Part 2
The Doctor and Donna arrive in the TARDIS, and walk out into the rubbish strewn street.
Something catches the Doctor's eye, and he remarks on it to Donna.

Rose emerges from the darkness at the end of the street carrying a ridiculously over-sized gun.
And then the long parted lovers set eyes on each other!

And off he goes! Its Rose! Go to her!
And heres a video (thanks to Simon!) of the Doctor pelting it along the street. This is apparently one of the best moments of the whole episode. Full of squee I'm sure!
BUT, methinks there isn't a happy reunion at all as a Dalek appears and begins chasing one of them (dunno if its the Doctor or Rose) screaming "Exterminate!"
And ye can see a video of that here:
So thats not a good thing, and the Doctor certainly doesn't look as happy anymore as he runs down the street.

And its during this running that he seemingly gets shot down, and collapses in the middle of the road.

Part 4
Rose is the first one who rushes to the Doctor's aid, and apprently takes out the Dalek who shot him. It seems that, although the Doctor is initially unconscious, he wakes up long enough to have a few words with her.
Apparently, according to Loucyuk who was eavesdropping during their rehearsal, the dialogue just possibly might, maybe, apparently be:Rose: "Missed you"
The Doctor: "Missed you to"
(she did stress that it was said very quietly and might no be the case)

Part 5
As Donna rushes over to join Rose and the Doctor
Captain Jack then appears from another side street, also equipped with a gun, and he to rushes to the Doctor's side.
Captain Jack says "Get him into to the Tardis, quick !" and Donna and Rose carry him back inside. Jack picks up Roses gun that she dropped and follows them.
And heres two few videos of the filming that can also be found on youtube:
(all credit to Simon!)
Rose trying to help the Doctor
Jack and Donna rushing in to help
Davros

Welcome to my new empire, Doctor
Lurking mysteriously in the shadows? Why hide such a pretty face?
Davors apparently doesn't feature hugely in ep12. My guess is he remains somewhat illusive in order to build up some suspense. But how did he get here?
Well, its all down to the last Dalek. Yup, Dalek Caan is who we've got to thank for all this. At some point (presumably when he temporal shifted at the end of Evolution of the Daleks) he went back to the Time War and managed to save Davros.
There is a small hitch. Doing this sent poor Caan completely insane. Madder than a box of frogs!
Theres a nice scene with him apparently, where he makes the most creepy Dalek ever. And then we enter into the realms of speculation in terms of what happens next, because the episode apparently ends with the Doctor beginning to regenerate.
DigitalSpy
The full DigitalSpy article can be seen here:
"For now, here come the drums, the spoilers and three red Daleks. Sorry, we mean red herrings..."
- Wilf wields a cricket bat.
Yup, as seen in the trailer. - Davros has been harvesting bees into a new army of Daleks.
Um... - The Daleks know the identity of a certain former Prime Minister.
Quite possible, we all know those rumors - Captain Jack becomes angry at Paul O'Grady's effect on Ianto Jones.
Paul O'Grady does have a cameo in the finale playing himself, so it could happen. - A certain body part in a jar is bubbling.
I see no reason why not, hints of the Master and all that... - A Dalek exterminates the Torchwood pterodactyl.
Oh no! Not Myfanwy! But yes, possible - The fate of a character from 'Voyage Of The Damned' is revealed.
Apparently yes, something to do with Mr Copper - Wilf was banned from using a webcam as there were suspicions over what he might use it for.
Ah!! Curse my imagination! - Project Indigo holds the key to salvation.
Project Indigo is definitely part of the episode - The Doctor's daughter Jenny is trapped near a black hole, but K-9 is sent to rescue her.
I don't think K9 is even mentioned in the episode - A Dalek speaks to Mr. Smith.
In the cast list there is someone playing the "voice of Mr Smith" aka, the computer from SJA. So this is a possibility. - The Time War was 'time locked', or so thought The Doctor.
Apparently yes. "time locked" is the same idea as things being fixed, or in flux (like the fate of Pompeii) And it was thought that the Time War was fixed as well... but thats apparently not going to stop Caan finding a way to change it, and stop Davros getting killed.
You can see the full article here:
Right, onto the quotes:
"I like Saturdays."
"You cannot possibly *****."
"I'm sorry for your loss. I mean the loss that *** *** (yet?) to **** (come?)"
"My vision is not impaired."
"Who's she?!"
"Tell the Doctor from me, he chose his ********** (companions?) well."
They also add NO SLEEP AND PROHIBITED TRAVEL MAKE CAAN A CRAZY DALEK. NO SLEEP AND PROHIBITED TRAVEL MAKE CAAN A CRAZY DALEK.
Speculation
- Rose is much more grown up and in fact is in a relationship with somebody from Pete's world, somebody other than Mickey.
- There will "definitely" be a regeneration in the series, but its unconfirmed as to who will be regenerating.
- The Bees are definitely important, but the important thing is where they've gone rather than why. Rumors are that they've been used to create the new Dalek empire
- The Bee rumors however don't fit in with others I've heard. The reason Davros has a robotic hand, and we only see his head is that he has given his own DNA and tissue to clone a new Dalek army. In fact, all thats left of him is his head and spinal chord.
- Although the Master was rumored to be appearing, apparently they changed their minds (deciding to bring him back for a bigger part on one of the specials) so there will be no Master.
- osterhagen key
This is apparently very relevant. Martha and Jack know about it but are reluctant to talk about it. Whatever it is, it plays a major part in the last two episodes.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 294 of 294 Newer› Newest»Jess, when you say "there will definately be a regeneration this series but it's unconfirmed who", it's Jenny from the Doctor's Daughter. Also at about 14 secs on the Stolen Earth trailer, you can see a grey finger filpping a switch. It could be Davros in his travel-Dalek thing, and the grey finger could be his robotic-type hand.
>>Jess, when you say "there will definately be a regeneration this series but it's unconfirmed who", it's Jenny from the Doctor's Daughter.<<
The person who gave the info about there being a regeneration said it in context of the finale. Its not anything to do with Jenny, who people are still arguing about whether she regenerated at all - they say she was terraformed.
Oh, and there will be a full breakdown of the trailer with pictures added to this page soon.
I saw Turn Left yesterday: rose tells donna to give the doctor two words, these turn out to be 'Bad Wolf'. Then, every bit of writing on Shan Shen becomes Bad Wolf, even the writing on the tardis! then the doctor says bad wolf is the end of the universe.
the woman is the rani. she is a time lady but she is better at science so she is cunning and she has worked with the master in th past.
this is only what i guess!!
WOW! great work sorting out this tangled mess of info/rumours into an order!
it really clarifies things!
Thanks "thedoctorwho07", the harriet jones thing is very plausable. thts why i put it on there. Sorry to "Sam", i did fall in a bit of a hole, but i did not believe part of it anyway. only the harriet jones bit.
I like at the end of the next time trailer, a laughing dalek. that sounds fun. lol. cant wait to see what if anything happens to Ianto and Gwen.
The stolen Earth looks brilliant. I think it will be very special. Bow down to Davros!!!!
There are rumours going around, saying that donna is the rani.
Maybe they'll start the episode with a previously like the last finale.
I wonder if in the last episode journeys end they will end it on donna getting hit by that van from turn left and this time the doctor is with her??
Anyone else think that the two tall buildings in the city-scape reflected before Martha's face (in the second image above to be subtitled as "It can't be...") look uncannily like the Chrysler (left) & Empire State (right) buildings?
Just maybe the 'leks could be popping back up in Manhattan once more?
Also - and I know this probably is reading WAY too much into this - but notice how if that is indeed the Empire State, then from Martha's POV it's the building to the LEFT...
jess, how do u know francine is in the stolen earth?
Her name is in the official cast list. I don't think it'll be a large part, not with the amount of characters we've got already!
i think i see harriert jones in that trailer, when we see sarah jane, donna and doctor, *harriet jones*, luke (i think)
tell me if im wrong
the cloning idea may work if somehow the sontarans survived and joined forces with the daleks???
According to Damien Love in the Sunday Herald there is a mad Dalek which is Dalek Caan (As he mentions it was the last of the Daleks and also mentions references to the picture of Caan chained up) who can now soothsay and has become totaly insane. So it seems the laughing Dalek from the next time is Dalek Caan
That would make sense that the laughing is Dalek Caan since that sounded like Briggs' voice doing the laughing and did not sound at all like Davros' voice does in the trailer.
So, something is special about Donna - What could it be?
Some options...
She's a timelord. (or more specifically the Rani or Romana?!)
She's a sentient Tardis.
She's a descendant of the Doctor through Susan.
Any others?
Maximum extermination? Does that mean there is a minimum extermination which only kills you a little bit?
There was a sentient ginger walking TARDIS in some of the BBC's Eigth Doctor books.
**SPOLIERS**
The Doctor mentions the Crucible as "Satan's Frontier" and is a mix of a all planets lost and stolen from the regions of space where the Time War took place.
i thought Mr Smith, SJ's computer was evil....i'm sure i read that in some episode guide to SJA?
some-one want to clue me up?
He wasn't evil, he was programmed for something bad and was just carrying it out. I think at the end of the episode he was reset though, so he's back to being SJ's computer.
Its quite a good episode actually, you can see it on PGtv if your interested.
What is RTD? And maria couldnt be in it because in sja she moves house.
Cheers Jess
I watched an episode or two of SJA adventures where the sliveen were building schools, but for what ever reason decided not to watch any further.
Think it was when i was feeling down and happy, birght sunshine kiddy shows I wasnt exactly in the mood for....atleast thats how i remember it with really patronising acting....but may go back and watch an episode or few.
In the trailer an american man says "Ladies and gentlemen, we are at war." This was last said by Captain Jack Harkness in The Parting Of The Ways.

Back in LotT the Master specifically said of the Doctor:
"He sealed the rift, at the Medusa Cascade, single-handed."
Notice the placing of the commas (pauses in the original dialogue). He refers to THE rift AT the Medusa Cascade (emphasis mine). Not sealed the Medusa Cascade itself, specifically THE rift (definite article, singular form, universal clause) AT the Cascade.
Might we imply from this that there is only one 'Rift', with countless openings across time and space, merely including the one in Cardiff? (And maybe even the 'untempered schism' on Gallifrey?)
This would explain how Torchwood gets involved. Maybe Davros got sealed in the Rift and has re-emerged from the Cardiff terminus. All the explosions in the hub could be the Rift Manipulator overloading.
This would also mean that Davros himself was the "secret of the vault", lurking right down at the bottom of the ominously never used lower-levels of said vault, just above (or possibly even WITHIN) the very rift the hub was built over. Davros certainly seems to be emerging from the shadowed recesses of some very Torchwood-looking tunnels.
The important point of all this being that maybe all of the planets being stolen are ones which have a Rift terminus, and are getting swiped via the Rift itself - and if that does indeed include Gallifrey...
Also, could sealing the rift 'single-handed' be a pun upon a 'false' Doctor created from the Doctor's severed hand giving his life to seal it? I'm looking too deep again, aren't I...
This episode seems to me like another time war. The screen cap with earth and all the dalek ships certainly looks like a war. And why would all the doctor's companions be called together if it wasn't universally important?
So how would the Master know about a false Doctor created from the hand if it hadn't happened yet ?
Might we imply from this that there is only one 'Rift', with countless openings across time and space, merely including the one in Cardiff? (And maybe even the 'untempered schism' on Gallifrey?)
Iam sure its said in Torchwood thats the case, you know when Gwen becomes a detective for all the missing poeple, i think one line is something along the lines of: "they get sucked in at our rift hole and leave at an other"
said by Jack
as ive said previously correct me if iam wrong.
the daleks come back by the opening of the void and the army of daleks come out
Remember in Last of the Time Lords when the masters dead body was being burned--and a womans hand was seen stealing his ring and an evil laugh was heard?
I speculate that this was Harriet Jones and she spent a whole year onboard the valiant during "the year that never was" / the master's reign. She was mad at the doctor for destroying her political career and didn't think it was fair when Harold Saxon wasn't punished for shooting down the Racnoss Christmas Star. She realised he was a time lord and became obsessed with power. When she put the ring on she was overcome with the sound of drums, the call to war, and somehow opened the rift for all universes and unlocked Davros.
Also, I read somewhere that sealing the rift at the medusa cascade requires a human scarifies. ( We see a flash back of Paul Magann and an assistant both sacrificing themselves but the doctor is spat out, regenerates in Christopher Eccleston and goes on to meet rose on earth a few years later.
AND Donna has had a dormant sting embedded in her ever since the xmas with the racnoss. Since the main spider was killed, its been inactive but when a Racnoss from another universe comes through, donna turns evil but the doctor cottons on. Not sure where this story line goes...
But when the cascade needs another human scarifies to be closed, all the assistants offer but its Donna who eventually does it. However, the doctor crosses his own timeline to go back and save her then Jack gives her memory loss tablets. Donna lives her life as a temp and never knows she met the doctor.
Not sure how much of this is true but its what i've read on various other sites!
That is a correct quote (or at least the gist thereof).
I'm musing that ALL rift-type phenomena are one-and-the-same entity. If so, then if (as it seems) all the planets going missing are ones connected to the Rift, then maybe Gallifrey (with its 'schism') didn't burn. Maybe it's just got 'alf-inched along with all the others...
And with regards to the "single handed" quote from the Master, I wasn't implying he knew about the false Doctor, if there is such a character (although it was odd that he referred to the Doctor having a companion who could absorb the time vortex, something he shouldn't have known about). I just meant it might've been a throw-away reference dropped in by RTD, to be picked up on later.
Children of Time by any chance just happen to be Time Lords? I mean we do know they are dead and gone as far as we understand. But The Doctor still lives and is against the Daleks with his team. Almost all have traveled in time.
Ianto, Gwen and Luke being the only ones who haven't I believe. Though Ianto and Gwen have both had heavy interaction with the rift and Luke well he was made by aliens :p.
One more point that just occured to me is that; if the Doctor powers the TARDIS by drawing energy from the rift, and if the planets that are disappearing are indeed getting sucked into the rift, then maybe the missing planets are somewhere within the TARDIS itself?
Might that be why RTD subtly implied that we'd get closer to seeing the TARDIS blow-up in the finale? Maybe it doesn't actually explode, but rather turn completely inside out (presumably whilst within the Rift), disgorging all the planets it had absorbed back to their proper places in time and space, including Skaro...
...and Gallifrey.
it can't be harriet jones cos look at lucy saxon's hands.SHE HAS RED NAILS!
Hey, Luke Barker i said that thing about harriet jones before you, look back and check. anyway, i thing its donna who stole the master's ring. remember she was investigating things.
i wonder why the daleks are using the missing bees?
yes maybe lucy saxons finger nails were a red herring and it was in fact donna which means she might be posseed by the master 'like somethings binding us together'
this could be the master

well the one about the cricket bat yes prime minister one probably so count as yes. captain jack one count as yes. fate of a character 100% yes its Mr Copper because in DWA RTD said we also find out how mr copper getting on in series 4.
Project indigo yes. A dalek speaks to mr smith probably. the rest of them i dont have a clue anyone have any idea

I know this has nothing to do with this episode i think but it got me thinking just a tad. I doctor who series 1 were rose wakes up in the tardis and says "there was this song" well if it was a background song just to fit the mood then how can rose hear it? and the ood in series 4 say "your song must end" and on que it plays the bad wolf tune that rose heard. Its just a theory and rose did hear it when the daleks were there and whos in this weeks episode....THE DALEKS! REALLY it might mean nothing but its something to think about. AND ANOTHER THING! I WILL BE VERY MAD WITH RTD IF HE MAKES A SAD GOODBYE WITH ROSE AND DOCTOR COS I SEEN THE BEACH PICS JUST LYK DOOMSDAY AND I SWEAR ILL PUNCH MY T.V IF IT DOES HAPPEN LOL! she cant be trapped there cos the tardis, donna and jack are there too and it will be really cheap if they do the whole" i have a life here i have to leave you ive got to get out!" then i will scream they already dun that with martha. No ofence to anyone but who knows he did say its a cliff hanger maybe the doctor leaves rose the choice of coming with him and it just leaves it at that. people have said that a girl had to stand in for rose while filming the 2008 christmas special but billie did the important parts so thats got to mean she comes back for it. well i hope! ooohhh the scene were the doctor sees rose for the first time is going to be wkd! the look on the doctors face will be priceless!#

AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!
The Red Dalek is the Dalek Supreme now confirmed by RTD on Blue Peter earlier today and the Radio Time also keep mentioning that it is the Dalek Supreme not the new Dalek Emperor.
I think I'm amongst the minority that thinks that Harriet Jones won't do the dirty on the Time Team. I mean, yeah, she certainly would have every right to be pissed about the Doctor turning on her like he did, but to completely turn on your entire race because one tall, skinny alien in his pj's jumped on your case about the mass murder you just committed...?
I'd think if anything, she'd redeem herself if confronted by the Daleks, not join up with them to destroy the Earth that she fell from grace protecting.
im just after realising, stolen earth is talking about all the panets mentioned in the series:
Adiposian planet-lost
Pyrovile planet-lost
Lost moon of Puche-lost
Medusa Cascade-lost
theres been a big emphasis on lost planets because of "politics" or something like that, its building up to the finale!
GUESS WHAT!!!
DS has released their little info thing, and it says that a FEMALE that we KNOW VERY WELL gets exterminated this weekend. This is very exciting and promising for Rose fans because Rose signed on for 3 episodes, not two, which means she must not be the one. And if she is exterminated, then somehow the death isn't permanent. Either way, Rose lives!!! YAY!
yeah, Martha will die
cos RTD said that she will have quite an important role
and from the looks of it, the Doctor, Donna, Jack, and Rose get taken with the TARDIS on board the ship, and i saw a clip of Sarah Jane, Mickey, and Jackie, with a load of randomers being taken on board a TARDIS ship
i saw no Martha, so stands to rights that she will get killed
ha
damn, i meant they get taken on board a dalek ship... obviously lol
i think Luke becomes the supreme dalek coz he's is a geinious and on this site it says, he gets taken away by the daleks.
where does it say that Luke gets captured by the Daleks?
Wow!
Having just watch the trail in which the Daleks are speed-exterminating (is that an Dalekympic sport?) the Earth, and worked out that in total, that brings the potential body counts to be:
Stolen Earth: 1320 exterminations
Journey's End: 1865 exterminations
Total: 3185 exterminations
Hurry up and come, Saturday!!
Ian - with regards to the Photobucket picture - I think that's the case with the Doctor's hand in. I suspect no-one can actually see the hand because the case is bubbling - which it does when there is timey-wimey-wibbly-wobbly that it likes.
However - you stir an interesting question - how do Torchwood now have the Doctor's hand, without messing up the continuity, and putting it pre-Utopia, so that we know Jack and Martha, at least, survive? After all, we last saw the Doctor's hand getting excited when it went off to see Jenny.
Hmmm.......
'Let's put it this way: a female we know very well is exterminated this weekend'
Couldn't this be meaning Harriet Jones? We know her 'very' well cause she was always saying-
'Harriet Jones- Prime Minister'
With someone replying, 'Yes, we know who you are.'
What do you guys think?
just had a thought, with rtd leaving hes going to have to put everything right again for the new person, witch means galifrey has to come back. in this episode the earth is stolen/ taken to the medusa cascade. In the sound of drums the master and the doctor are talking about the timewar. the master says you seeled the rift to the medusa cascade single handedly.(could this be were he sealed galifrey and skaro? witch ties in with what i said ealier
>>Where does it say that Luke gets captured by the Daleks?<<
I said that, twas just a guess as you can see in the post above. It does make sense though as by the end of the episode (and the next one) Sarah-Jane is alone.
if earth has been 'moved', and is surrounded by other planets etc, could this be inside the medusa cascade??
If you were a dalek, wouldn't you capture a boy geinious. Ive just finished watching the sarah jane adventures series one. its great.
o yea, you know there have been clues about the darkness. well in human nature in series three. when the boy rubs the watch it starts to talk and it mensions the darkness.
Can't wait till saturday. This is a great website. well done jess
On the Harriet Jones thing - according to the Basic Info page, RTD confirmed that we'd see 10 Downing Street in series 4. Is this where we see Harriet Jones? Even if she's not PM any more, she could still be in the Cabinet.
I Belive That The Cruciform Is Related To The Tardis + The Title for Ep 12 Is "Betrayl Of Houner.

Spoilers
Episode 12 is the stolen earth and this has been confirmed!
Davros is back and a red dalek supreme/ Harriet jones with him. As the daleks invade and the doctors companions are being hunted the doctor and donna visit the shadow proclamation where a group of old enemies form a temporary alliance in the final fight for earth!
Journeys end
The fight is over the doctor has been shot and Mickie smith Sarah jane and Luke have been captured and taken to the crucible.
Meanwhile the doctors over companions have more pressing problems as the daleks take over UNIT and Torchwood.
With time running out the doctor and companions work together but when there trails leads to the Medusa cascade and ancient prophesy declares one of them must die to close it!
Christmas special!
Following a botched double regeneration the doctor is in victorian london where the parallel universes cybermen are making new cybermen in this world and have made wraith like scavengers.
being determined to take the world through stealth it is not long before fighting erupts. Can the doctor defeat them and who is there new leader?
Special point
For 2009 the villain is the RANI
For 2010 the villains are Cybermen and a new villain
For 2011 a Mysterious new leader comes back with an army of the dead.
For 2012 The master returns with a group of time shifters in order to restore Gallifrey.
He fails and succeeds as Gallifrey and Skaro is restored with all the daleks and time lords! (With no memory of the Time war)
For 2013 the doctor is in his last body and is sent back to Gallifrey and is trapped in a prison as the daleks attack.
The doctor escapes and fights the daleks and allows the sontarans to fight with the timelords.
With a giant fight underway ending with a fight between the Doctor and a group of Daleks under the rule of the emperor dalek.
The doctor dies but as a final chance he activates the cruciform which kills all the daleks erasing them from time but the blast also destroys Gallifrey.
This ending creates a Paradox meaning doctor who never ended or began as the Timewar was his 13th body yet it had him as his first body also existing meaning that throught the series of doctor who everything is wound up nicely in a tight package!
P.S By the time the 2013 series is released the doctor will have fought these villains in the new series. (Not counting series 1-4
Cyber-men
Cyber-wraiths
Daleks
Spider-daleks
Slitheen (Yes they will return)
Silurians
Sea devils
Master
Rani
Time shifters
Mind ghosts (Alter the prospect of life a scary Steven moffat episode)
Emperor dalek
Mechanpoids (can absorb any metallic object)
P.s only a few of the above villains are confirmed
See ya soon
I Belive That The Cruciform Is Related To The Tardis
I'm sure in one clip I heard a dalek mention that the cruciform is time lord technology or something to back this point up.
but could totally be imagning this.
and no iam not getting it confused with army of ghosts/doomsday.
remember in evolution of the daleks, when the doctor was talking to lazlow and he said something along the lines of " a creature with the right mind could change history" dalek caan was listening in to that convo, i think thats when caan knew where to go when he shifts again.
also the darkness is where the daleks are. thats wot the doctor said in the same episode. any i think the emperors daleks in parting of the ways, was the first big battle fleet, maybe there are more hiding in the darkness.
btw scorpio, you have missed out one creature the IMPERIAL DALEK ( the white one)
it says in the new dwm that martha will be in the new york unit base trying to call the doctor...
Scorpio - all the stuff your saying isn't spoilers, you're just repeating what Jess has already said and mixing it with speculation.
And anonymous above me, Jess has already said Martha is in New York. See above.
Sorry if I sound bad tempered but I don't like trawling through comments that are already covered in the post.
Hmmm random thought but did the episode "Dalek" take place in like 2011 or something??
So surely van statten by then would have known what the dalek was because of the battle of canary wharf....
and what about this whole daleks coming to earth thing?? how will van statten set up his museum and still not know what the dalek is if the earth is crawling with them???
i,ve looked at the picture link and i don't think dat it is the doctors hand cos that case had black bits at the top and bottom
I think the conversation between Harriet Jones and the Daleks will go start with :-
HJ : "Harriet Jones, ex-Prime Minister."
Dalek: "Yes, we know who you are. Exterminate !"

well if you nlook there are the normal daleks and then there is really gold shiny daleks (so could there be two factions of dalek or is it just the light)
its different ranks.
It's just the light. If Davros is back with a new empire, he's not going to let more than one other Dalek share in his power.
Laughing Dalek must be Davros as Daleks have no emotions and therefor cannot laugh.
But it isn't Davros's voice, Dalek Caan has been confirmed to go insane, and as Dalek Caan was part of the Cult of Skaro, he had emotions.
The point of the cult of skaro was to imagine new things to improve the daleks. i think caan has gone MAD because remember in evolution of the daleks, the doctor said if u shift think of all the power cells that can burn up. so thats y caan is MAD. he has shifted too many times.
I have a nice little theory on what Donna, the Crucible, & the Cruciform all might be, and why all the bees are disappearing...
It’s so long that I’ve split it into three separate posts.
Here goes...
THE CRUCIBLE & THE DISAPPEARING BEES:
The Daleks are very much like the Borg from Star Trek (indeed, the latter is an acknowledged rip-off of the former).
They wish to 'perfect' life. This originally consisted of exterminating all other forms of life. However, as time has gone on the Daleks have evolved and come to realise that, instead of killing other life, they can 'skaroform' it (so to speak). Make it like them.
This is where the 'crucible' comes in. It is an upgrade of the device that the Daleks in TPotW were using to filter and sort the "one out of every million" human cells that were fit to become part of a new Dalek.
However, instead of filtering the cells, it homogenises them, genetically modifying them all to fit the idealised Dalek pattern.
Thus an entire planet's population can be exterminated and converted to Daleks en masse.
The "recharge period" mentioned would be how long it took for the device to build up a sufficiently powerful 'gamma strike' as was shown to be required for the genetic re-sequencing in 'The Evolution of the Daleks'.
As regards the bees; when the Doctor intercepted the gamma strike in TEotD he mixed in a little bit of Timelord DNA, "a little bit of free will". Thus allowing the Dalek humans to rebel against their creators.
The inclusion of the DNA of a dumb, but very, very efficient hive-minded species – such as bees – would eliminate this concern soundly. The resulting drone-daleks would be totally without free will, and totally loyal to the supreme Dalek (made using the queens of the abducted hives).
THE CRUCIFORM:
We know that the Timelords were originally created by Rassilon 'throwing himself upon the looms of Gallifrey' or some such.
Basically he chucked himself into a giant mass-progenation machine, similar to the ones shown in 'The Doctor's Daughter', but massive enough to allow the generation of an entire race in one go.
This is the Cruciform; the device upon which Rassilon sacrificed himself (Christ-like) to create a new race of people. This is also what Dalek Caan is seen to be hard-wired into in the trailer. As the last ‘true’ Dalek, he serves as the original imprint template, via the Cruciform, to drive the Crucible. However, every time a cycle of progenation is completed Caan himself is destroyed and re-created - and as anyone who has ever tried to make successive copies of a videotape will be aware, every copy has more and more errors in it. Hence his madness.
DONNA NOBLE, & THE CHILDREN OF TIME:
Donna Noble is going to save us all. By making the supreme sacrifice. Again.
Donna Noble is no ordinary woman. She exists for a very specific reason. Before they were destroyed, the Timelords had a grand repository of all the knowledge of the universe. The Matrix, the ultimate hypercomputer. Even their very minds were encoded into its data banks.
During the final battle of the Time War it was decided that this knowledge must be preserved, and so it was hidden. Hidden in the most unlikely of places. In the mind of a human child. An ordinary unassuming little girl. A girl who would grow into a woman so full of subconscious knowledge that she would always miss what was going on around her. She’d never quite be able to see the big picture…
An Earth woman primed with the ‘Rassilon Imprimatur’. Genetically imprinted with the DNA of the father of the race himself (hence her somewhat Timelord-esque appearance). A ‘mere’ human, but containing all of the very essence of what it is to be a Timelord. Her life was pre-directed from the beginning, in a series of improbable coincidences, to assure that she would meet the one man who could allow her to fulfil her destiny. Thus Donna met the Doctor.
Donna will replace Caan in the Cruciform and turn the Crucible upon the Daleks themselves, allowing the race of the Timelords to be reborn. She will be destroyed in the process.
However, she will not be gone forever, she will be re-generated. Just as was Rassilon himself.
Thus, her body is renewed, but her mind wiped of all knowledge of the Timelords, including the Doctor. To be reminded of those things would destroy her sanity. Hence why Wilf must never tell her of the Doctor.
THE END
Wahdahyah think?
GOOD THINKING LETS SEE WOT IS ANYTHING HAPPENS> 35 mins
RTD said he wants to bring back Davros to see what happens, so what could that mean, maybe the daleks he created out of his own cells are daleks that are daleks who are faithful to the emporer and the planets that have been taken, there citizins (including humans) are taken to the crucible tobe converted and purified to follow Davros secretly and if something happens he has a secret army to destroy the rebel daleks and use his own army to take over the universe.
I may be out of my depth making thses assumptions but bear with me, I am 15!
The key of osterhagon may be essential for arming an experimental weapon.
As was the key of rassillion used by the doctor to arm the De mat gun, a weapon which when fired removed the imposing target from time and space.
Dalek Kaan refering to the doctor as the dark lord could refer to the doctor or maybe to a being wielding the same power as the doctor if not more.
The reference of unending death could be a reference to the final destruction to the dalek race becuase come on, its not the first time it has been anilated and it also refers to the doctors later regeneration in which the the doctors former self "dies".
The two timelords Rasillion and Omega were beyond any timelords that preceded them, being the foundations of the timlord race having military and technilogical knowledge beyond any beings in the universe. It has been rumored the doctor is more thank just a timelord, he is actually like rasillion and omega a timelord god, this first struck me during the end of the 3rd series with the doctor wielding psychic energy to undo what the master had done.
Maybe something goes wrong with doctors regeneration and he stays in the same form, in which his biology doesn't recognise the change as a regeneration.
It may end in a dalek civil war, this being a thought raised by the new red dalek. The last times in which Davros has reigned over his dalek empire has ended in the destruction of opposing dalek factions or the betrayel of davros himself by his own creations.
Maybe the barrior of time and space has weakened so much on earth becuase of the opening of rifts in space time, maybe this allowed dalek caan to travel so far back to the timewar, the weakening of the barrior of time leading to dalek caan breaking through this "timelock".
^
Maybe the doctor might find a way to expoit this weakness and prevent the death of his 11th incarnation, although such actions would create a time paradox.
Thats all I have on the matter!
Also being a god of timelords, maybe the companions of the doctor absorb more than just background radiation, maybe they absorb something off the doctor, all people that travel with the doctor change and its my thought, they aren't biologically timelords, but maybe they become sort of well remain 3/4 human but something of the timelord embeds itself in them. This might explain dalek caan refering to the doctors companions as the "children of time".
Please comment on what i have stated, i think these are all possible accurate theories and statements but if they are not, well im sorry!
like I said only 15
Mein Got!!! I won't spoil it for anyone that hasn't seen the episode yet. That said, once you do see it, I dare you not to shed some tears!!!
I am probably one of the many few who have enjoyed EVERY episode of the revived series. I have never had anything against RTD: he is a brilliant artist who understands how to take the foundations of THE superior science fiction series and still [after 45 years] make it better than ANYTHING else on.
LIGHTS, CAMERA, ACTION!
EXTERMINATE!!!!!
This episode answered alot of questions, and posed more!
I mean, what is the Osterhagen Key?
But I do know that an anagram of Osterhagen is 'Earths Gone'!
I've written a post on my blog about this if anyone has any ideas?
What is the Osterhagen Key?
Earth is in trouble
because Davros is back
He's built himself an army
of daleks ready to attack
*
But one dalek is special
this one is red
there's also dalek caan
but he's not right in the head
*
The companions are joining forces
To save the human race
because hearth has been stolen
its gone, without a trace
*
Now the Doctor's been shot by a dalek
But don't worry he hasn't died
He's starting to regenerate
With his companions by his side
Someone else said this, but I have to add to it - why didn't I find this blog beofre? Great stuff!

HEY YOU!THE GUY THAT SENT ONE OHIS COMMENTS IN THE 10TH OF JUNE, THE ONE THAT HAS THE THE WORD TIMEAGENT922 AS HIS FIRST WORD AND POSTED IT AS ANONYMOUS, ARE YOU BLIND? THE COMMENT UNDERNATH CLEARLY SAYS "sorry that's meant to say "LADY" not "LAD."
GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i thought the episode was brill its just i can't help but feel really disapointed, i don't no why but i really wish rose had been taken from the doctor, not by choice but in some sad tragic way because we now no that she is unlikly to return were as if she was i dunno sucked back into her universe then there is the posibility that she will return and for the doctor and us there is always that small hope i mean she as the best companion ever.
and also why the hell is there not a series in 2009 am i missing somthing hear i mean i am a bit dumb but torchwood is still running and one last thing, is david going to stay for 2010??????
jess, I Can't belive that episode!"
Brillant!

Wonderful blog you have here but I was curious about if you knew of any
message boards that cover the same topics talked about here?
I'd really like to be a part of online community where I can get responses from other experienced individuals that share the same interest. If you have any suggestions, please let me know. Cheers!
