The BBC press office have released info on the David Tennant's appearance as the Doctor in the Sarah Jane Adventures, and it looks exciting!
Doctor Who fans are in for a treat this Autumn as David Tennant makes a special appearance as The Doctor in CBBC's hit drama series The Sarah Jane Adventures with a starring role across two episodes.
Elisabeth Sladen, who plays Sarah Jane, says: "When I heard the news that David was going to be joining us I was absolutely over the moon. Not only has it made my day but it will also make the viewers' day.
"It's fantastic news that Sarah Jane is going to spend some time working with The Doctor again and is testament to just how successful this CBBC series is."

RTD, Executive Producer of The Sarah Jane Adventures, adds: "Viewers thought they may have to wait until November for the next full episode of Doctor Who, but this is an extra special treat.
"And it's not just a cameo from David – this is a full-on appearance for The Doctor as he and Sarah Jane face their biggest threat ever."
The series includes 12 weeks of brand new adventures featuring a new alien race, the reptilian Veil and their enemies the Judoon, alongside an extraterrestrial girl that can make people play games against their will.
There will also be a living painting, the inhabitants of a supposedly haunted house, monsters who want to infect Earth with a strangely aggressive weed and a chance for Sarah Jane to find personal happiness with someone who could be the perfect person to complete her family.
So there we go!
In a similar article from DenOfGeek its hinted at that the episode with the Doctor's apperance will be the one where Sarah Jane gets married. Which seems to make sense in my mind - of course the Doctor would want to be around for that happy occasion!
Then again I could just be clutching at straws :)

And RTD manages yet again to dumb down the show he brought back to life. Anyone else remember when RTD said that the Doctor wouldn't EVER appear in any of the spin-offs, as that would detract from the character. Well, there you go. C'mon, BBC, cancel the whole thing already, will you?! Stop the madness and air something important like Trek is. FACT!
And there goes the Star Trek nerd again... aren't you on the wrong site?
I am totally angry at the "TREKKIE" or however you spell the word you are a trekkie not a WHOVIAN so what are you doing posting on a Doctor Who Fan site. Believe me when i speak on behalf of Whovians "Go away and stop bugging us we love our programme as much as you love yours."
Hello, Mr. Anonymous Trekkie Troll...why are you here again?
Oh wait, the answer is in the name.
annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnywayz, this looks like a quite gd series, i watched the first and second and wasnt that bothered, but this sounds really gd, wot do u think?
Do you know when SJA season 3 is going to air?
I was really happy about this until I read the part of the Doctor coming back for Sarah Jane's wedding. I really hope this will be handled well and they won't just throw some random guy with her. Not to mention I didn't see anything wrong with Sarah Jane being single.
All great-sounding ideas. Bet (so to speak) the prospective hubbie turns out to be a monster, though.
Dalekimmortal: its been put down as just 'autumn' for the moment. In an interview RTD mentioned it'd probably be in September sometime :)
WHOOP! THE DOCTOR IS COMING! YES!
> C'mon, BBC, cancel the whole thing already, will you?! Stop the madness and air something important like Trek is. FACT!<
Don't tell me the little fag who likes Trek is still posting here?
Fuck off you dense muppet. Star Trek is for FAGGOTS
...And as for this wedding...I can't be the only one who sort of knows this HAS to be round III between Sarah and The Trickster, only this time The Doctor is on hand to get some payback for the events of "Turn Left" when Donna was used by The Trickster's Brigade
Um, Mr/Mrs Trekkie, can I just point out that Simon Pegg (AKA THE EDITOR) and Christopher Eccleston (AKA THE NINTH DOCTOR) are currently starring in your newest movie?
Seriously though- what is the point in coming here to rip off DW in front of a load of Whovians? We respect your show, so please respect ours.
I know RTD may have contradicted himself, but the finale of series four worked so well bringing TW to DW and TW has been running alongside time wise, so give DW and SJA a chance!
I don't normally watch SJA as it is a bit young for me, but you can bet i'm going to give it a go!
Eccleston was in Star Trek, just come back from seeing it a 2nd time and can't remember seeing him.

Can we leave the homophobic BS at the door? I thought Whovians like us were made of more impressive stuff. Don't sink to Trek Nerd's level. You just make us all look bad.
I have watched the first two seasons of SJA and I have got to say: it was terrible <.<
I know it is for kids but the villains have been sooo pathetic... I only hope the next season is going to be better.
I hope this series is going to be better than the last to. the first was okay but the second was a bit rubbish ( eg. an evil clown, how sad ). But the dr is the the new series so it looks like it could get better. I bet sarah janes supposedly lover is an alien who just wants to get her back for something she has done to them or their planet.
Ok first that basher of Doctor Who should just piss off. Second all the idiots who are bashing Trek should join him.. Both shows are equally awesome in their own ways - the two longest running Sci-Fi series ever.
Don't like one, that's fine, that's your own problem. Don't go around on spreading your idiotic comments and homophobic slanderings of two immortal shows that never overtly pit themselves against each other. Two shows which never should be seen as enemies.
The whole genre of Sci-Fi (and Fantasy too) have enough enemies to deal with without infighting.
Nah, Star Trek is crap :P
Crap? 11 SUCCESSFUL films. 5 SUCCESSFUL tv serials. Millions of fans worldwide. An actual Shuttle named after the world's most famous starship? College courses taught in the Philosophy of the entire franchise. What have you got? Some ponce in a box. FACT!!!
Hey! He ain't a ponce! He's actually VERY hot i'll have you know! and the tardis is more better than ever as a box. It means you can land wherever and not get noticed! Not like you trekies!! Your lot will get sectioned!!
WHOVIAN AND PROUD!

Rock on, Sageeth. The reason why I seldom post on forums anymore is because I'm sick of the gaybashing and infighting. (I'd say "juvenile behavior", but I've got two preteens who are better behaved than some adults I've seen post lately.) Yes, I'm allowed to like both series. Heck, I'm a huge Star Wars fan, as well as Whovian and Trekkie. And a bisexual woman, for what it's worth. There's a lot more of us out there in fandom; you never know just whom you might be insulting.
That said, in response to the actual article, I'm psyched. I love Sarah Jane, and I think it's pretty cool of the writers to show that a mature woman could still have romantic relationships, raise a child, and still be the kickass investigator that we all admire. I'm looking forward to the episode (even if the groom turns out to be evil *smirk*)

Yeah, LOTS of crap :P
BUT THE DOCTOR IS REALLY HOT SO HA HA!
Star Trek Nemesis was a flop, Enterprise was cancelled, Voyager should have been cancelled. Deep Space Nine ripped off Babylon 5. The Borg ripped off the Cybermen. Every episode was resolved through technobabble. Most of the effects were recycled from previous episodes.
You got a comeback for that one, Trekgeek ?
Trekkie got owned. FACT!
Almost 3 weeks later and still no comeback from Trekgeek.
