The Come Fly With Me star will feature in a spooky episode playing a character called Gibbis. "I am a huge fan of Doctor Who and am so looking forward to working with Matt Smith and running up and down some corridors with him." He said.

Readership Down for DWM

According to the latest stats, it seems that the Doctor Who Magazine's younger brother, Doctor Who Adventures, has had an increased circulation since 2010. DWM's, however, has dropped by 5.4%. Ouch!

Review: Death Riders / Heart of Stone

Don't be put off by the double A-side like title! It's better than that. Much better, actually.

For parents, this might be just the thing for your kids. The two-in-one book, a new for the Doctor Who series, is great for keeping the little 'uns interested and page-turning. Both Trevor Baxendale and Justin Richards adopt a very good - and simple - writing style to appeal to younger fans, so this would not be recommended for older people!

The stories themselves are perfect microcosms of the show itself, echoing the most recent series moreso than the previous ones, especially because of the 'dark' atmospheres the two stories create.

Older Planet Gallifrey readers may also be interested to know that a certain Jess makes an appearance! She (unrelated to our Jess, of course) plays the part of the real, 'down-to-earth' token characters which will have a slightly profound effect on the kids.

The Parting of the NTAs

It wasn't a particularly good night for Doctor Who at the NTAs, where it lost both categories. Moffat's Sherlock also lost in both categories. Some say it's because of the quality of the show, some say it's due to a lack of interest. What do you think?

Doctor Who alum, Billie Piper has revealed that she wouldn't be that annoyed if she bagged a spot on the judging panel of the hit ITV show. “I would love that more than anything! There are two things I fantasise about – being Beyoncé and being a judge on The X Factor."

Benedick n' Beatrice predicted sell-out
According to a ticket selling website, Much Ado About Nothing, starring ex-Doctor-and-Donna, David Tennant and Catherine Tate is expected to sell-out. Much Ado will be at Wyndam's Theatre from June to September.

Russell T excited about Torchwood 4
"The budget's bigger than before and there's going to be a lot of surprises in store," he said. "One thing I've quite enjoyed is the little jokes in the show about Brits feeling lost in America, and Americans not knowing where Wales is."

More Torchwood details revealed

The BBC have revealed that Torchwood will be called 'Miracle Day' instead of the previous title, 'The New World.'

The series will be centred around a global problem where nobody is able to die.

"One day, nobody dies. All across the world, nobody dies. And then the next day, and the next, and the next. People keep aging - they get hurt and sick - but they never die. The result: a population boom, overnight. With all the extra people, resources are finite. It's said that in four months' time, the human race will cease to be viable. But this can't be a natural event - someone's got to be behind it."

The series will air on July 1st 2011.
