Has anyone read or listened to Feast of the Drowned? Because this reminded me of it a little bit...
Actually, the being claustrophobically trapped somewhere with some random people while someone is possessed by evil reminded me of Midnight, but the way they're possessed reminds me of 42...

I paused the trailer to see that man's face from the ninth cap a little better. Now I'm going to have nightmares.
Yeah, I read the feast of the drowned!
But i don't think this will be similar to that book 'cause it was rose on it...
Anyway, seems like we won't have a lot of information about this one ('cause it was filmed inside...)
Wonder when they'll broadcast it...
Hm, there isn't much water on Mars, except in ice form and locked underground, but by the look of things the water is an alien or the alien is the water.
It also reminds me of "Impossible Planet", trapped inside with possessed people, something out to get them... running out of ideas? :) Well, I'm sure there'll be new stuff there!
The setting is a Bio Dome on Mars Water is bieng pumped from the ice buried deep within mars. Originally this special was intended to have the Ice warriors maybe though the villain of this was hiden as Water Frozen in the ice!
Though i can see a scene in my head where one of the water monsters acts human and kiss`s someone which then drowns them.
Hey Jess, did you notice that the Mars centre's control console is shaped like the TARDIS' console? And that the windows are ROUNDEL-SHAPED? Remember the Valiant's TARDIS-esque designs.
Who designed that again?
Da-da-da-da. Da-da-da-da.
Maybe the Master will have a bigger role than RTD is letting on?
I have just noticed that in the 3rd from last pic, the dr isn't there. and it seems this is the part when they're saying "there on the roof" unless he's got scared and ditched them ( yeah right hehe ) i think this is one of those scenes where the Doctor goes off on his own to save all the others. maybe near the end of the episode.
oh and i think that guy does have a head. he's sort of raisng it up very high, so it isn't very easy to see.
okay, this is not important at all...but apparently the Doctor has acquired another blue suit since his double absconded with it and Rose into Pete's World. :)
Or, more likely, he always had several.
I've always imagined that the Doctor Just has a rack with loads of suits, doubles of his favorites. That trailer gives a Midnight feel which I hope Waters of Mars has! I love intense 10th doctor as much as his sense of humour or sarcasm, so I am hoping for the drama.
Firsly thanks for these updates they are great.
Did you see the write up online about the anagram of this title - The waters of Mars = War of the Masters
We all know RTD loves his anagrams.
Rumours of John Simm return might just have been confirmed :)
Thanks again for all your updates Jess - you're doing a great job
even if it has a similar location and trapped threat like impossible planet it doesn't mean it will be exactly the same. The fact that this is water, mars ect already makes it different. and in this no regular companion also changes the dynamic. The Doctor has more potential for probs in these sort of situations when he doesn't have the a friend grounding him. And you never know the personality type of the one off companion. So it should be interesting I think:)
That woman reminds me of...an older Jenny =S
she reminds me of an older jenny too. remember she's only part timelord... same clothes too...
The Waters of Mars
