Episode ??

At the moment, we only have very early set reports for series 5. Of course I have no idea which filming is for which episode, or even if they're the same episode or not... But I like organising things and so they shall be organised!

Episode Location: Earth, WWII
Aliens/Enemies: Daleks
New Characters: Churchill
Gadgets Used: Unknown
Episode Objective: Unknown

Filming
At the moment I have no idea what order these come in, I'm just listing them in the order they were filmed. I also have no idea if these are even for the same episode. Isn't guessing fun!

1st Report (22/08/09)
The BBC has been filming the latest series of the show at a council-owned World War Two underground bunker near the TA Centre in West Cross.

The special effects crew arrived on the set early yesterday, and the location was a hive of activity as cameras rolled inside the Joint Resilience Centre, off Mumbles Road.

Location manager Gareth Skelding was keen to keep details under wraps and would not spill the beans on which actors were on location.

He said: "There's very little I can say — it's all a big secret. Obviously, we don't want the storylines to get out. We're filming inside the Joint Resilience Building, which makes it easier to keep it quiet."

2nd Report (27/08/09)
Filming went on at North Road, on the roof of the Glamorgan building in Cardiff Uni.

First up, there were some trailers set up with the signs on their doors reading: Childers, Todd and Bracewell.

There were reports of 'hundreds' of sandbags on the roof that resemble a bunker of some kind. Lots of barbed wire all about, and a WWII soldier spotted with gun.

Indy125 reported how "I can't see anything but I can hear people shouting "bang!" and things like "cease firing" echoing down the lightwell. There's also a smoky haze drifting down."

There was also some dialogue floating down about "our new secret weapon"...

Spotted on the roof:
The Doctor
Amy (in the same costume as on the beach)
A dalek which is a grey/black matte in color
A Scientist believed to be played by Bill Paterson

3rd Report (28/08/09)
Filming took place at Jacob's Antiques, but although it was inside, the intrepid set reporters have still managed to dish out the goods!

First off, there were a few trailer doors, which read:
The Doctor, Amy, Enemy No.2, and Churchill.

Its assumed that Enemy No.2 is referring to the Daleks since Nick Briggs (voice of the Daleks) was spotted leaving the building:

Alun.Vega (the god who he is) has pieced together everything he's witnessed into a comprehensive and excitable account of what he thinks is going on:

As far as I can tell, the story so far is that Bill Paterson's character is some kind of Professor, a boffin working for Churchill during WW2. He believes he's invented the Daleks as a new super-weapon, though he's a bit fuzzy on how the idea came to him. The Daleks are stringing the Prof along, playing docile and very British.

DALEK: "Would you care for some tea?"

Churchill doesn't care where the Professor's "ironclads" came from, only that they have the potential to defeat the Nazis and win the war.

CHURCHILL: "Death to our enemies... Death to the 3rd Reich!"
THE DOCTOR: "Yes, yes, and death to everyone else too."

The Doctor is trying to convince the Prof and Churchill not to unleash the Daleks, but they're not taking him seriously (possibly because he seems implausibly young?) hence his growing frustration and anger, as he turns on the playing-it-innocent Daleks:

THE DOCTOR: "I sent you back into the void. I saved the whole of reality from you. I am the Doctor, and you are the DALEKS!"

The Professor (Bill Paterson) seems to warm to Amy, as they're both Scottish. I believe the Prof says: "Are you from the Islands?"

CHURCHILL: "You are my ironsides!"
DALEK: "We are the Daleks."
PROFESSOR: "I created you!"
DALEK: "No, we created you."

There are LOADS more amazing photos and videos of the filming here:

A huge thanks to Scooty, Alun.Vega, Chick, baraduim, Supreme Dalek, ANobleToaster, indy125, Mark, Dragonmyst, Napoleon, Blogtor Who, and anyone else who has reported. I salute you all!

OK, TrekGeek, tell us this... why isn't there a Star Trek TV series in production ? Is it because Star Trek is tired and has been flogged to death ?

Has anyone seen TrekGeek's blog ? It's so (unintentionally) funny.

So to sum this episode up it is WW2 with Daleks!

How lame :(

I give thumbs down because:

1. We have already had episodes set in the wars.

2. The daleks are once again back

3. The number 1 enemy will more than likely be the Trickster or a member of the army themselves.

The idea sounds quite similar to the classic "Power of the Daleks" which introduced Patrick Troughton as the 2nd Doctor.

I'm not convinced by the evidence that this really is going to be a Dalek story. The top of the Dalek head could be anything. Briggs could be doing other alien voices. But if it is what is claimed I agree it doesn't sound that good. I think this might be one story worth missing.
