Doctor Who star David Tennant is secretly dating a sexy young girl assistant from the show.

Tennant, 36, has spent cosy nights with stunning blonde Bethan Britton at his apartment in Cardiff where the series is filmed.

At 2am on Wednesday, Bethan slipped out to put a parking permit on her sports car - wearing HIS pyjamas under a hooded jacket.

Tennant stood in the doorway keeping a watchful eye on her until she returned.

The smitten pair went to a nearby pub last week for a romantic drink to celebrate her birthday. A source said: "They sneaked in and sat in a corner, chatting quietly.

"They kept a low profile but were all over each other, holding hands and giggling like naughty teenagers. They make a lovely couple."

Bethan, a 28-year-old contracts assistant at BBC South Wales, lives with her parents in a terraced house in quiet Dinas Powys on the outskirts of Cardiff.

"They really like each other. But they don't want to rush into anything too quickly and have decided to take it slowly.
