Planet Gallifrey: Blue Peter!

Blue Peter!

Hooray!
Blue Peter had a special Doctor Who show where one of the team (Gethin) got to be a Dalek for a while, and they showed a clip from Journey's End!

This is Sarah-Jane, Jackie and Mickey as prisoners aboard the Crucible!

Journey's End will be a whopping 65 minutes long and jam packed full of squeetastic goodness!

And, for those who are interested, this is how Gethin got on when he became a Dalek... not the best quality, sorry.

Did you notice the tiny tiny scene at the beginning where Jack was lying on the floor and bathed in red light? Looks to me like he'd just come back from the dead. As he does.

Excellent! But sounds more like Crucible than Cruciform? Or am I just going a bit deaf?

I think it said crucible too....

wish it was longer!

I know, I DO wish it was longer... Oy, why isn't Rose included on the list of "Who are you most looking forward to seeing" poll?

I missed this earlier (DAMN the dentist).

It looks cool anyway. I need to see it in better quality to make a proper judgment, but that's not your fault.

And by the way, it's Gethin not Gethan ;)

sounds like CRUCIBLE, so - have they renamed cruciform? or is there both?

Wow, I think I am looking forward to this more than Rose back in 2005.....

Given that most of the rumours have now been pretty much confirmed I really hope there is going to be some BIG suprises for us..........

Christopher Eccleston anyone???

I think I saw Jackie there too. Right after SJ says "One step closer to the Doctor" and they move down the hall, I'm failry sure that Jackie was behind her there..

The full episode will be up soon, just getting my hands on it now!

And yes, there was Jackie, Mickey and Sarah-Jane there, which makes sense considering they meet up in Stolen Earth

Crucible? Cruciform? Meh, ones on Gallifrey, the other is a Dalek ship.

erm...wut? seriously? or are dangling false tempatation in front of us?

The Crucible is a space station roughly the size of a planet. It is likely that it was created by the Daleks and/or Davros. It has a metallic outer shell but a rocky, sandy interior suggesting that the Daleks modified an alreday existing planet. Human prisoners were taken for an unknown variety of testing during The Stolen Earth/Journey's End

She means the full episode of Blue Peter, I think.

Oh. ha ha. Now I feel like a right idiot! lol

Haha yes... I realize now how that could have been interpreted wrong! Sorry!

Nah, I thought the same thing for a moment, then paused and said, "Wait...no...since that's not possible, she must mean Blue Peter."

Was it just me or does it look like Jackie's pregnant again?

Oh, 65 minutes! Yeah! Feels like they could've split it into 2 parts almost and make 14 episodes, instead of 13. I know it's the same, just sounds like the season is longer :)

Other stuff: Jess, I don't know if you've seen it, people found it on other forums. Pictures of Martha when she looks up and says 'It can't be' or something like that, you can see New York Empire State building reflecting in a glass. So looks like every time Martha's in New Your Daleks attack! :)

Oh, you're doing great, great job uploading everything so quickly! You rock!

SQUEE!! Woot woot woot!

From the qoute "One step closer to the Doctor" can we infer that the Doctor is on the Crucible/Cruciform/Whatever this planet is?

@Flying Girl's Finding: That would make sense. Perhaps the Temporal Shift moves Caan to New York at the time of the invasion without realizing what is going on, and gets into trouble with Davros unintentionally?

Crucible, looks like unicron from transformers the movie in 1986, a giant metal planet that even took planets as well, remember the master said the daliks took control of the Crucible, so it could have been a time lord ship!?

@daystardragon: yes, that makes sense. He (or she? :) just jumped forward in time, but stayed in the same place. And I suppose Martha can be onboard Valiant (looks like they're in the air above the city). After all UNIT is Unified intelligence taskforce, so they could've had some sort of summit in NY.

I kind of wonder if Shadow Proclamation going to be a parody on UN? Lots of people, lots of talk, bureacracy, not much action.

Hmmm... I wonder what the humans are being tested for?

Anyway, as far as the crucible, if anyone remembers the classic episode The Dalek Invasion of Earth, the Daleks had conquered earth and were planning to change it into a giant spaceship by hollowing out its core. I'm wondering if that is what the crucible is. (Or is there any chance that it is actually Skaro?)

From what I gather, the Crucible is the Dalek ship that is created from all the stolen planets (or something along those lines)

Am I the only one who is totally psyched to see Mickey?

Anonymous said...

Yes.

The bit where the guy gets to be inside the Dalek is awesome, I so want to do that now.

Anonymous said...

No, I am totally pro-Mickey. He and the Doctor just have this great 'I sort of hate you, pal.' repartee.

Anonymous said...

Yes!! :)
I just read that Mr. Smith w3ill make an appearance, as I saw
"Voice of Mr Smith......Alexander Armstrong" at the BBC What's On page! ^^

I love Mickey :)

Anonymous said...

Ok, is it just me or do the Daleks no longer seem as scary? I can't quite take them seriously now I know their operator is called Barneby!

I love Mickey. I don't understand why some people don't. =(

The first Dalek through the door @13/14 seconds in the 'clip' video wobbles slightly. And after Gethin was told not to wobble. Ha!

Anonymous said...
