That clip is amazing! I really can't wait for saturday.
Their reactions are so fantastic. That's what I love about Doctor Who, the acting is amazing.
Could this week crawl by any more slowly?
Oh God, I can't look. I mean I shouldn't look while I'm here missing the last 3 eps.
No spoilers for me.
Ahoj
I hate Wednesdays because the beeb just srip information and I want to watch it now. Harumph to not being a journalist (or a fear factor child)
ah. anyway the vid clips dont seem to work when I am abroad! Phew Wow.
ahoj
Eeeee! I cannot wait until Saturday. I want to watch it now!
Also, how much do you want to bet that 35 minutes is where the Doctor sees Rose. :D
Why does Rose look so much like she doesn't care about the Daleks crying "Exterminate!"? And poor Sarah Jane, thinking her son is going to die. Well, guess this preview clip proves another spoiler from DS wasn't a red herring.
"NO SLEEP AND PROHIBITED TRAVEL MAKE CAAN A CRAZY DALEK."
Well that explains the mad laughter then. And presumably why he's chained up.
I have a feeling that no matter how slow this week passes, next week will pass even slower!
>>NO SLEEP AND PROHIBITED TRAVEL MAKE CAAN A CRAZY DALEK.<<
They actually say that?! I thought it was just Digitalspy punning The Shining
Great wallpapers, cool puzzle, fantastic preview clip...
Not to big on the fear factor. what happened to the little x's that hid clues?
I think they hide everything now not only to keep us from guessing (Love the guessing), but from us americans finding out about what's going to happen in a few weeks when it airs here.
Lucky me that I don't have to wait 3 weeks for it.
>>NO SLEEP AND PROHIBITED TRAVEL MAKE CAAN A CRAZY DALEK. They actually say that?! I thought it was just Digitalspy punning The Shining<<
No, you're right. They are punning the Shining. I just liked the quote so thought I'd include it.
Ah, I see where you might have got confused. I was quoting DigitalSpy, not quoting the episode.
I don't think Rose looks indifferent, just stoic...she also has been more successful in her encounters with Daleks than Jack or Sarah Jane (I guess). And I thought that was a nice juxtaposition of everybody's reactions. So excited, so very very excited. I think squee is the word I'm looking for...
Great clip! Thanks for posting...how many more days?!?
What am I going to do when series 4 is over?
Squeeeeee amazing clip, but so sad
completly contridicting myself but cannot wait
great site btw
Why does this stop at 43 minutes? Is the other 7 minutes all the opening and closing credits? Seems a long time...
tyhat clips sent me into shivers =S
If the "don't leave them" is him running away (when the woman shouts "Doctor come back"), then it doesn't leave long for him start regenerating does it (two mins)?
Sarah Jane says "Oh God, He was so young!"
I don't think she was reffering to Luke. Could someone have died? Or was she rememebring her first encounter with the Dalek's and Davros (with the fourth Doctor and Harry Sullivan)?
And btw Jess, amazing work at putting the episode pages together, you've done a brilliant job!
>>If the "don't leave them" is him running away (when the woman shouts "Doctor come back"), then it doesn't leave long for him start regenerating does it?<<
Whut? I think the "don't leave them" (40 min) is when the TARDIS is taken to the Crucible and Mickey, Jackie and Sarah-Jane are still on Earth.
I don't think it has much to do with the Shadow Proclamation.
>>And btw Jess, amazing work at putting the episode pages together, you've done a brilliant job!<<
Thanks muchly :)
Anonymous, I don't know if the comment of what Sarah Jane said was meant for mine or not, but I'm posting this anyway:
I just thought of something: why is Sarah Jane crying as she listens to the Daleks saying their trademark phrase? Both times she's met them she and the Doctor have come out on top, right? So, why should this time be any different than when she met them before, especially since she was there when they were created!
I wonder if her past history with the Daleks and Davros will play an important part, or any part really, in these final two episodes. . .
Is the clip on Youtube?
YAY!!! TORCHWOOD! JANTO! (And GWACK, bugger it) Plus Martha, SJS and ROSE ROSE ROSE ROSE ROSE ROSE ROSE ROSE ROSE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Anyway,
"25 min - The kids are dismayed.
26 min - The kids are delighted!"
Make up your minds!!
Lots of squeeing.
15 min: Better do as he says: Davros, anyone? Or just a Dalek?
In the preview, on the left of the red exterminate noise, you can see Earth and a lot of other planets.
@Sam: I don't think SJS's previous adventures will be too important, Doctor Who is billed as a kid's show and most kids won't have seen the original series extensively. She might have a bit of knowledge though, at least about who Davros is, enough to do the talking if the Doctor isn't there.
11 min - Harry remembers a phrase from years ago.
Do you think this could be "Ladies and gentlemen, we are at war"? Because Jack said it in PotW when the daleks started invading, and General Sanchez says it. Not really important but oh well!
>>Is the clip on Youtube?<<
The clips in this post! :)
Rose looks to me to be somewhere between frightened and furious.
(You can tell by how her lip twitches.)
>> The clips in this post!
reminds me of the old excuse "the cheques in the post" :)
Same reason Jack's all, "Well, we're dead!" when he's endured...sorta...his encounter with the Daleks.
They're selling the bad guys as being scary.
You kind of wonder if first few minutes is when Tardis is on fire and Fear Factor shows: Sam enjoys a milkshake, Amy's delighted.
Doesn't it seem like Fear Factor becomes more and more useless?
Oh, great clip! Well, if they're showing initial reactions, they could've fitted many more people :) Looks like Jack was on the phone with Martha when they both got earful of lovely "Exterminate"!
I wonder if Digital Hint about a female we know very well being exterminated could be similar how Rose was killed by Android at the end of series one, only to be resurrected on the Dalek ship? Or the way Donna was 'saved' in the library? This could add to the cliffhanger if they seemingly killed someone only to bring her back in the last episode.
Could also refer to Harriet Jones becoming a Red Dalek (hopefully not!)
OK another crazy comment from me... appologies if this has been asked before or brought up, I've looked about and can find nowt...
BBC cast list mentions...
'Suzanne ...... Andrea Harris'
Who is Andrea Harris, and has she been in series 4 already? I was googling about and her name was linked to the Quiet Libary episode. Is she the one who knew the Doctor? I can't find any pictures or her so have nothing to compare too!
Also is she playing THE Suzanne, or another Suzanne? ;)
Thanks
I hat liveing here in the US I'm so far ahead the last one that was on was the Silenc in the Libray! And I'm with the Uk crew thanks for the site and a place where I can watch not that the T.V does that stupid sci-fi channel!
>>Who is Andrea Harris, and has she been in series 4 already?<<
I'm afraid I don't know who Andrea Harris is, but as for "THE Suzanne"... are you possibly confusing that with Susan? I don't remember a Suzanne.
>>Thanks for the site and a place where I can watch<<
Welcome! :)
>>35 min - Something makes the whole family go: "Awwwww!"<<
I'm sure we can guess what that is, eh?
Sarah Jane says "Oh God, He was so young!"
She is definitely saying "You're so young!" to Luke. She's crying at the same time, so it sort of sounds like two words; "he was", as in "you--'re". Listen carefully, I'm pretty sure I'm right and quite frankly it makes a lot more sense.
I think you're absolutely right.
After watching the clip fifteen more glorious times, I can definitely say that Sarah Jane is saying, "Oh god, you're so young!" and not "he was". . . wow, I watched it fifteen times and called it glorious, I need to get a life.
>>>>35 min - Something makes the whole family go: "Awwwww!"<<

Jack and Ianto?
>>>>>>35 min - Something makes the whole family go: "Awwwww!"<<

Jack and Ianto?<<
LOL! Well...maybe!
At last the Daleks are truly terrifying again. This is going to be good.
...is it Saturday yet?
I don't think Rose looks indifferent, it actually looks like there are tears in her eyes, they look very glassy.
>>>>>>35 min - Something makes the whole family go: "Awwwww!"<<

Jack and Ianto?<<
Doubt it! The kids probably don't even know (or care) who Ianto is. Shock Horror! Lol
Reckon it must be the Rose/Doctor reunion
Hmm, I just had a thought. Maybe the female character that apparently dies is Francine (Martha's mum). It would explain why she is in the episode and why we really don't know why she is in it.
I think that the character that dies is probably Martha.(Cause its the person we least expect to go.)
Then UNIT, or Jack phones Francine up to tell her that her daughter was KIA.
daystardragon you keep taking what I am going to say before I do... I was going to say that about Jack and Ianto being the Awwww (as a joke)... you wouldn't happen to be from the planet Midnight would you???
no no0 no! it is not jack and ianto lol!!
Journey's End.... Can anyone think of a prophecy, outside of Rose in the Satan Pit, where someone is destined to die?
@sageeth: Lol.
OMG, the female who dies: JENNY!?!?!?!!??!?!
lol. Jenny dies and the regenerates. xD
my thoughts on the one who will die is rose.
it was mentioned that she will die in battle in series 2, and I also think she will be the one regenerating. They never said the person who dies will STAY dead. I think because she is the bad wolf, and the tardis and her seem to be quite linked because of it, she will be the one to die, and then have a regeneration.
I think mickey and martha have a job on torchwood. They're looking for a doctor and a tech person, and those two are perfect for the job.
we all know about the scene at the end where the doctor is yelling at wilf that she can never know, so she must survive.
In plnet of the ood, the ood say to the doctor something lyk ur song must end soon or somethin like that..
Oh yeah! what did they mean by that?
the doctor was never have a hit single?
I'm guessing that was about River Song.
Are we sure the Doctor was talking about Donna in the end sequence?
The end sequence of what daystardragon?
---
Anyways, if you want to get all technical (though I really doubt it's this) the only character who literally has music attached to them is Rose with her Bad Wolf music. But I doubt it meant her, so probably was River Song.
However, I was thinking about The Beast's prophecy about Rose saying she was going to die in battle. It didn't say which battle... It could have meant this one...
Have a really strong feeling its Donna though as that's the only way her journey will end (hence the title Journey's End)
16 min - Samuel tries to work out an anagram.
this is interesting. I wonder what it means?
16 min - Samuel tries to work out an anagram.
this is interesting. I wonder what it means?
me from above^^ (sorry for posting that twice bdw)
i just realised it could be ICAPS which is in the encyclopedia thingy.
>>The end sequence of what daystardragon?<<
On the Journey's end page we see the Doctor talking to Wilf before getting into the TARDIS, saying he can never tell her. Are we sure this is Donna?
Also, random: Wilf and Wolf are very close, think it'll matter? I would love to see the dialogue:
Rose: [raises ubergun]"I'm Bad Wolf"
Wilf: [raises paintgun] "And I'm bad Wilf."
My thoughts exactly.... The only one I could think of that had a prophecy was Rose, and since she didn't really die in Doomsday, this battle could be it. But, RTD also said that he couldn't kill Rose in Radio Times (hope he wasn't lying), which means she might possibly regenerate. I also remember RTD saying something about a surprise regeneration at the end of this series and it wouldn't be who we'd expect (meaning the Doc, I hope). Then, of course, there's the Doomsday music we kept hearing at key points with the Ood and River. RTD stated (I believe it was series 3 confidential) that music is very important to Doc. Who and that it tells the story as much as the actors and sets. That could mean that Doomsday music is prophesying Rose's return as River....
Could be...
When was there Doomsday Music with River?
Yes, go back to when River whispers the Doc's name in his ear. The Doomsday music plays at that point.
Thats not the Doomsday music that's the Doctor's Theme from Series One.
(They used it a lot in Turn Left.)
They've only used the Doomsday Theme in three episodes: Doomsday, Partners in Crime, and Planet of the Ood.
Great Clip,I can't wait.
I think when they are all scared as the ships are aproaching and they hear exterminate and SJS is crying and Jack thinks they are all dead I bet that is when the Earth is stolen or moved and they think the Daleks are about to blow it up but instead transport it and then invade.
Anonymous I hate to disagree with you, but I have to agree with the other anonymous, it is the Doomsday music when River whispers his name, not the Doc's theme.
I may have to watch it again to confirm, but I don't think it was either music. I think it was a new one.
It did sound familiar, with the haunting voice and whatnot, but I don't think its Doomsday or the Doctor's theme.
I've been sitting down and listening to both Doomsday, the Doctor's Theme and the music played when River spoke in the Doctor's ear. You're right Jess, it does sound very familiar. It's not quite the Doctor's Theme and it's not quite Doomsday either. It almost sounds like a hybrid of the two. Then when River steps back from the Doctor we hear the Doctor's theme. Man, I need to get a life.... LOL
Just had another thought....
Almost like two parts coming together. Hold, Hold on.... I think I've got it.... Forget Doomsday! It's like two halves coming together to form a whole. If you listen you can hear notes from Rose's Theme in there and there are notes from the Doctor's theme. Check out the last 25 secs of Rose's theme and listen to the violins, then incorporate the Doctor's theme into it. The piano from Rose's theme is there only slower and softer. Then as River steps away the Doctor's Theme distinguishes itself. Like I said before, I gotta get a life....LOL
where you guys were saying that Martha could die, doesn't she appear in the 4 special episodes next year? Could of sworn that she had a contract...?!!?
I heard daleks in the stolen earth they said EXTERMINATE that is shocking
