Tateness

Catherine Tate was on the Graham Norton show last night in preparation for Journey's End and whatnot.

I haven't found the whole episode yet, but for now heres a mini segment of it for you. They be talking about regenerations and whatnot.

I don't think there was any new preview clips and such, but I'll still try and get the whole thing up for you Tate lovers.

Aww gotta love James Nesbitt "I wouldn't put a lot of money on it"

Catherine Tate likes to cover her back (excuse the pun) I think she must have learnt her lesson after the Jonathan Ross incident and all the trouble that caused!

I saw a clip on GMTV this morning (Friday) from the coming episode, where mickey is a captive of the Daleks. There were one or two other bits in it too, but it was very short. Is it a new clip, or have we already seen it?

FYI the CT on GN contains no clips/trailers and no new news either :(

You speak the truth, curse them.

Oh, and Bert, I don't think the clip was new. I kinda think they're not gonna let any other clip from the finales slip now, not when its on tomorrow!

One last chance for K9 to pop up before the end of the series.....Come on K9! I read that all four K9s come back and fuse together to make a mega-K9.

what do you think she meant "i realized i was standing beside..... no i can't say that"
???
beside who? or what?

Honestly, I really think that DT is leaving and all this stuff about him finishing the Christmas Special and remaining through the next "season" of specials is false. I could be totally wrong, of course, and to tell the truth it doesn't really matter, but I just don't like all this "let's deliberately deceive the public" stuff that goes on.

Anonymous said...

He is definately in the Christmas special. The pictures on this site prove that.

Thanks Jess!

THANK YOU JESS! I've been looking for this for a while. And as for spoilers/trailers go, I'm content just to see the CT interview. I like her.

Dude I can't wait for the Final one and by the way if you watched the last time he regenerated it was going inwards the light was going out out wards witch means somethin is gonna happen! :)

I just have a feeling that whatever is going to happen it will involve the severed hand from season 2. They just seem to keep putting it in at least one scene in every episode.

James nesbitt would be a good doctor but Robert Carlyle would be amazing as the Doctor.

after watching jekyll, James nesbitt would be a fantastic master!

Which pictures indicate the new Christmas special?

Anonymous said...

Q: Which pictures indicate the new Christmas special?

A: The section on this site labeled 0. Christmas Special under 2009 Specials. There are way too many reports of DT being on set for the entire shoot by people unassociated with the BBC for all the reports to be a lie.

I'm not entirely sure how they'll do it, but I'm confident Ten will be around at least a bit longer. ^.^

i think the doctors hand arches the power of his regeneration energy and becomes two doctors, both dt. Then one of them gets shot again and the he regenerates into david morressy as seen in the xmas special with both them running around.

I agree with u bluebox plus im gay

Anonymous said...

"I agree with u bluebox plus im gay"

was that really necessary?

also, there is a new preview clip out showing jack being killed by the daleks in a big vat of something but of course coming back to life.

Hey - there was an extra preview on TV tonight. It was on the 6 O' clock news. I saw Captain Jack coming out of what looked like a furnace and coming back to life (but that's all). There's nothing on youtube or anything but it definitely happened! There are a few things on the BBC website about keeping the secret and an audio clip with RTD. He says they are all astonished by the media attention/speculation.... Thought you might wanna link it (if you read this!!!)

Cheers and good luck for tomorrow..

No secrets have been leaked?

So either:

He doesn't split into 2, and something completely different happens

or

They're lying :P

It would be fantastic if they really do regenerate the Doctor. But I can't believe that they could keep something like that a secret for so long.

Also, to pick up a thread from a couple of days ago, there's rumours about Donna being Romana and that her name means Noble Lady.

Well, In Romana's last story Warrior's Gate, the Doctors last words to her, paraphrasing Shakespeare, were "You were the Noblest Romana of them all". RTD would know this, so I wonder...?

Anonymous said...

Yeah, okay, pictures confirm he was on set for the Christmas special, but that doesn't mean he's IN the Christmas Special. I just can't shake the vibe that he's really leaving. Again, no big deal if he *is* leaving...

Anonymous said...

I really think Donna has been 'made' or changed to be a key to unlock something evil but won't remember it. This is why the Doctor says "You can't tell her" to Wilf at the end of the episode.

That's my theory anyway

so today reading the standard... robert carlysle to replace the doc....? i thought it was quite funny that yesterday catherine tate shows up with james nesbitt(whos long being theorised to be good to take over(?))on graham norton)...but i still am holding out hope that DTs exit isnt as sudden as "oh look i'm regenerating ... at least I got to see the face of the one I [loved]".

thank god theres only 24 more hours... ish!!

Just wanted to say how much I like your blog, having stumbled across it only recently. Your detailing of the Doctor's companions, Gallifey and more is phenomenal, and valuable, so thanks!

The BBC is capable of pulling dirty tricks on viewwers. They did it many times before.

Anonymous said...

So didn't Catherine Tate kinda let the cat out of the bag ages ago - when she said David was leaving or something like that when they first had the 'preview' screening! - then they all went into damage control - Tennant stating that Tate had 'stitched' him up by saying that - perhaps if we'd listened way back - we should have seen this coming!

I found the following blog that claims to have spoilers of the finale. It sounds like a nice story (and it would be good to see Eccleston back), but I take it with a grain of salt. Not long to go.

Who really cares if you are a fucking poofter. This is a Doctor Who site, not a gay chat room. Go suck a penis, faggot!!!!

Anonymous said...

If there are 2 doctors, 1 coming from the hand I would think the doctor should star lopping off his hand so he can create an army of doctors for his next regeneration. Then he'll have an army to go against all those daleks next time.

does any one remember donna learning how to drive the tardis in the spartan episode does any one think that this and martha's key will be play a role in the last episode like one will work with the other or something ?

Anonymous said...

i mean like donna plugging the key in the tardis, flying the tardis in the center of the cruclbe and destroying it and the tardis. causing donna to lose her memory of the doctor or causing donna to lose her memories of the doctor.

@Anonymous: Go away.

@Blue Box: NOOO!! They can't hurt the tardis!! (Hugs it)

I personally think that DT's time is almost up, but I would like to see him stay through 2010. Then I'd be ok to say good bye. Now, or in the television specials it seems premature to kill him off, but 2010 is a good year.

Anonymous said...

I may be a lone voice, but I'm hoping the Doctor regenerates into Bannakaffalatta. I'm just being silly - only a few hours to go ... bring it on.

Anonymous said...

I cannot wait for tonight! I like bluebox1984's idea a lot but I really think it's going to be a big suprise.

It is possible that the Christmas special could be a smokescreen/bluff to throw us off track, I mean RTD surely wants to go out with a bang and wouldn't want anyone to know about DT staying or going.

Now im going back here but i am wondering if any die hard WHO fans may remember this. But back during Christopher Eccleston era. Was their much speculation that Christopher Eccleston was leaving? If you all remembered the end of the parting of ways episode two endings were filmed but does any one remember Christopher Eccleston talking about the next season in any interviews? Honestly i watch old interviews with Christopher Eccleston and when ever Eccleston was brught to the question about the next season he danced around it. Honestly i doubt DT will leave, for the filming of the xmas, the Season being down graded to "four hour long specials" and he is a fan man that would be a killer to let his fans down with only so little like
Christopher Eccleston left us.

And also i re watched the Sentarion episode and the doctor was impressed that donna was driving the tardis and i still think the Osterhagen Key are all linked i believe.

hey guys I saw a preview on BBC Breakfast time and its a new one!

ok from what i can remember, jack was near some daleks in a saucer(?) and he was in this bowl thing and jack look liked he died and then then he was put into the a small place that opened it up a flap the bowl went it to it and then a dalek said something( i couldn't hear what the dalek said as they muted it out) and then jack came out but not the bowl and jack looked like he came back to life.

im sure you proably don't understand this but i tired as the preview as on around 9:00 am

Alison said...

Yeah I already told them - it's on the BBC news website too. Only a few seconds but it's new.

russel has indicated that today is DTs last episode as the Doctor in the Daily Mirror, read his interview...

re anonymous: "Yeah, okay, pictures confirm he was on set for the Christmas special, but that doesn't mean he's IN the Christmas Special."

Yeah, 'cos David Tennant always wears his 'Doctor' Costume when he's not filming.

"Yeah, 'cos David Tennant always wears his 'Doctor' Costume when he's not filming."

But who says there aren't 2 Doctors, one regenerated and one not ;)

It fits in with the whole 'split' thing, and the 'regenerated' thing. It might be a stunt to see if people like whoever the next Doctor is, and if people don't like him, they'll get rid of the 'regenerated' Doctor and keep David Tennant!

I hope this is what happens anyway.

Hello All -
New to posting but a long time learker. Love this site!!

I'm in America so I'll have a bit longer of a wait to see tonights episode. Thanks to the Gods for YouTube and Torrents!!!

So here's my theory on how tonight will play out....

Regeneration in progress... incorporates the hand in some way... DT regenerates back to the start of the 10th doctor. Like a "RESET" due to the hand. He'll have no memory of season 2,3 or 4 only remembering Rose (and family), Sarah Jane and Jack.

This would free up the character to move on in the specials and in 2010 when Moffit takes over.

Just a thought...
on a personal note... I will be VERY UPSET if DT goes out this way... we need closure on a lot of things... and I'm not sure if RTD is going to help that happen... as for the interview with RTD.. Do not believe ANYTHING he says!! He's the king 'queen' of the mislead!

Anonymous said...

Re:Kremmen "Yeah, 'cos David Tennant always wears his 'Doctor' Costume when he's not filming."

The BBC is capable of *so* much to mislead the public when in comes to DW plotlines. Do you think if DT was asked to be there in costume to throw off the fans with cameras he wouldn't do it? The show is way more popular now than it was at the end of Eccelston's (sp?)run and it is MUCH harder to keep plot lines under wraps when you have so many people around wanting to grab spoiler shots.

So yeah, I could see him IN COSTUME, ON SET during the Christmas special filming to maybe mislead everyone.

I could be totally wrong and DT stays and whoowho! But what if I'm not wrong? I'm gonna be really annoyed that RTD and DT didn't have the courtesy to be honest with us as fans and say "yeah, David's leaving after this season. Enjoy him now." I mean, we've been speculating all season who'd be his replacement when the time comes anyway, what would be the difference?

Anonymous said...

NOOO!!! DT must stay!

Anonymous said...

I agree with daystar dragon! at this rate we're going through doctors we'll be on our 13th in no time! i mean 3 years is nothing to be the doctor for!

Anonymous said...

13th? What's the problem with that?

If I recall correctly, even though Time Lords usually have 13 lives, The Master has been said to have more than that using other methods.

The High Council of Gallifrey, or whatever it was, could grant Time Lords new sets of regenerations :P

So, if the Time Lords come back, then whoo, it wouldn't matter ^^

Of course, The Doctor could just steal a new set :P

Anonymous said...

He could just start regenerating hands for the ones past his 13th.

@bluebox1984 -

"Honestly i doubt DT will leave, for the filming of the xmas, the Season being down graded to "four hour long specials" and he is a fan man that would be a killer to let his fans down with only so little like"

He's filming Hamlet for the Royal Shakespeare Company, isn't he? Why would you turn down an opportunity like that? And it's not like he's leaving DW entirely, or even skipping a whole season. If indeed the BBC is not lying to us, and there are just the few Bank Holiday specials, then I'm grateful for what we have. =P

Anonymous said...

I think RTD is saying DT is leaving and that is the lie. When the truth is that DT is staying. I could totally see RTD playing up DT regenerating and leaving to drum up viewership, and to keep the plot lines vague until he's ready to reveal them. Like you all have said, RTD is a master liar, but lies swing both ways, and in this case I think he's lying about DT leaving.

Whew! You wanna talk about a bunch of pissed off fans should DT leave at the end of this ep.

I'd hate to be the BBC or RTD on that day.

Combom said...

he doesnt leave, hes invilved with filming the xmas show :)

IMHO, David Tennant regenerates into David Morrissey, and the Doctors hand regenerates into another David Tennant!

Anonymous said...

Not long now!
I seriously think he could be gone and the Xmas specials (if they include DT and it's not a bluff) could be past adventures the doctor had... as if Rose or somebody was remembering them?

Not the most original idea but a way of having a new Doctor and also keeping DT for a little while longer.

Anonymous said...

Also, I think it's possible that the companion who dies will be the Tardis, as weve already seen clips of it on fire?

Anonymous said...

maybe the new doctor (grown from the hand) has another full set of regenerations?

Anonymous said...

Oshimi, you are an idiot.

oh god bless the doctor doctor who torchwood sarah jane adventures sarah jane smith and captain but remember david tennant stays in dr who show as the 10th doctor not david morrisey that will be boring and david morrisey would like stay in dr who show so let s carry make D tennant to stay in dr who show shall we
