Tardis Interior Revealed?!

A lovely person made a 3D model of the new TARDIS and Youtubed it. Apparently, it is modelled on the original TARDIS plan for Series One (which was ultimately cut because of the costs) - The first Series One of course... :p:

Wow?!

That looks something like the interior from BBC's one-off Doctor Who web cartoon "Scream of the Shalka." The big difference is the stairs don't curve.

We know there are going to be stairs, but it seems really impractical to have the console at the top. It would waste a lot of time having to run up them whenever they have to get into the TARDIS for a bit of console-based action. I'd prefer the upper level to be some sort of observation deck or maybe a science lab.

Having looked at this, if you look at the series 5 trailer around the 20 sec. mark, is that the interior of the Tardis. If you pause it there appears to be stairs going up and the rest looks like the bottom as seen in this video.

Where's the door?

It was only a concept design for the Chris series 1. It was too expensive to build back then on the budget, however it seems to have leaked into the series 5 design in some way. Personally.... wow
