The mean-puppet alien in the bottom right is apparently called 'the Smiler'. And the vortex behind is supposedly the vortex the TARDIS will swim through in the new series!
A trailer will also be shown THIS Saturday on BBC One. There are also talks of a 3D trailer to be shown in cinemas.

I thought that novelty faded away when I was a child.
Diggin' the new Time Vortex, I always thought it needed an update.

It all looks cool, but I can't wait to find out about "The Smiler"
