At least it won't happen in 5.8!

I still can't get used to Matt Smith. How come the angels never imprinted on people's eyes during "Blink". Also did anyone else think River Song acted different in "Time of Angels" than she did during "Silence in the Library"?

the date is 07/07/2010. source: http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/dw/episodes/b00s8dwd/galleries/design_art
it's image 20.

because sally sparrow didn't look into their eyes maybe.
well you got to remember that Silence in the Library happens in RIver's future, people can change.

Yes, because she's not the same age. Also, the weeping angels are different because they're at the height of their power. This stuff isn't hard to figure out guys.

Rayzak, the Doctor explains the ones from Blink are less powerful because they were simply scavengers. The ones in Time of Angels are fully powered Angels. And if River acted differently, it's because we're meeting her at different points in her life. So we don't see gradual character development, we probably would see major changes in her character.

Well, the Angels in "Blink" were simply scavengers and did not necessarily have the same powers and the reason for River Song acting differently is because the "Silence in the Library" Song is older, and therefore different, to the the "Time of Angels" Song.

1. The Angels in Blink were "scavengers" and not necessarily the same in terms of powers
2. River in Silence of the Library is older than the River in Time of Angels. Personality maybe different or a revelation may change it.

Rayzak, it took quite a while for the imprint to actually happen, so being on people's eyes for a short time wouldn't have done that. And yes, she did, she is younger, so it isn't that surprising

J. Smith said...

@Ray: Firstly, because the angels in Blink were scavengers. Secondly, because she is much younger in her personal time-line.

Is Southerndown Beach (the location of the planet the Byzantium's crashed on) actually Darlig Ulv Stranden, aka Bad Wolf Bay,?

I thought the cracks were going to be solved at the end of the series like badwolf, torchwood, saxon, etc. You know the show teases us through the entire series building it up until the last two or three episodes.

a)the angels that Sparrow met were, as the Doctor says, scavengers, and
b) probably because she is younger, but also bear in mind that it's highly likely that -spoilers! - she's only just killed an incarnation of the Doctor.

I really don't like Matt Smith. I've tried to get used to him.

And now I'm feeling lonely and sad as every doctor who fan seems to think he is great! lol

At times he acts too much like David Tenant's doctor. I just don't really get his acting style. I feel like nothing new has been brought to the show (save some really strange "sexy" revamps).

But on the positive side I like his companion Amy.
