The story itself is written masterfully by Uncle Terry (Dicks, that is), brought to life by the amazing sound which creates a Classic Who atmosphere, without being too Classic. The listener does not need to know about the Auton's first invasion (Spearhead From Space - 1970) as there are many references and explanations as we see a whole new world through Jo's eyes. Beevers' portrayal of the Third Doctor is especially spot-on, and we also get an appearance from Bessie.
All in all, the story keeps you on tenterhooks the whole way through by meandering through different, extraordinary tales and bringing it to a crescendo of a finale.
Out July 8th 2010, it can be pre-ordered here.

cool thanks.
geoffrey beavers wasn't the person who played the Master in the original proper episode though was it? Confusing to some fans.
Yeah I found that confusing too.
Wow this site does reviewes too? awesome I might buy this but it's a bit expensive...i hope It comes on Audible or something because I find the download cheaper. How many discs is it? I hope it's the bumper 4!
@Hanson. No he played 'Masters' the head of defence (or something) in the story Dr Who & the Silurians. Roger Delgado played the Master in the TV version of this story.
Geoffrey Beavers played the master in the keeper of traken..untill the end when he took over Nissa's dad's body! This is already out on itunes and sounds fantastic! recomend it to all!!!
