It seems that Mr Moffat originally thought up the idea way back in 1995! Who knew, that the archived message, which was originally read by a few people, would end up becoming Doctor Who history?

this is a brilliant website!
I call bullshit. Gmail was not around in 1995. Neither was the doctor. Someone would have gone to a lot of trouble to import this email into gmail over a conversation that was irrelevant at the time.
Well, gmail wasn't but newsgroups were. Who said this was from gmail anyway?
This wasn't from Gmail :) It was archived by Google.
