Miss Foster: [out loud] Are we interrupting you?
The Doctor: [mouthing] Run!

- She gives a presentation
- Claiming you take a pill
- And "the fat just walks away!"
- Theres a reporter, Penny
- Who asks lots of questions
- Donna & the Doctor snoop
- But they keep missing each other
- They each talk to an employee
- And are given a complimentary necklace
- They ask for a list of customers
- And follow up one of the people
- Donna goes to Stacey's house
- The Doctor goes to Roger's
- Roger looses a kilo of fat a night
- And is always woken up at 1.05 am
- The Doctor asks about a cat flap
- Since "The fat just walks away"
- Stacey goes to the toilet
- Donna waits downstairs
- She fiddles with the necklace
- And Stacy clutches her stomach
- An Adipose is formed
- And an alarm alerts Miss Foster
- She sends out her security men
- While Donna asks if Stacey is alright
- Stacey isn't
- And she explodes into 20 or so Adipose
- Donna catches sight of one of them
- And rushes out side
- The Doctor says goodbye to Roger
- And his tracking devise goes off
- He runs along the streets
- Trying to follow the signal
- The Adipose are put in a van
- Which drives right past him
- And he looses the signal
- Hes only a street away from Donna
- Donna goes home
- Her mother yaps on at her
- About getting a job etc etc
- Donna goes to see Granddad
- They have a nice talk
- About Donna searching
- For a man in a blue box
- The Doctor in the TARDIS
- Examines his necklace
- And begins speaking
- But he realizes he's alone
- Next day:
- Doctor & Donna return to Adipose Industries
- They both hide
- Until the office has closed
- Donna is in the bathroom
- Her mum rings her
- And yaps on about the car
- Miss Foster enters
- Searching for the intruder
- Her security start searching
- And find Penny
- They take her away
- To Miss Fosters' office
- And tie her up
- Donna & Doctor eavesdrop
- Miss Foster talks about the pill
- And how it gathers fat
- And makes a body
- An Adipose!
- Doctor and Donna see each other
- Donna is ecstatic
- Doctor is confused
- They mouth a conversation
- Through the windows
- Miss Foster sees them
- And they run
- They finally meet on the stairs
- And head onto the roof
- They get into a window cleaning platform
- And descend down the building
- Miss Foster chases them up
- With her own sonic devise
- The Window platform breaks
- Donna & Doctor start to fall
- Doctor stops the platform
- Miss Foster deadlocks the building
- And then sonics the cable
- The platform lurches
- And Donna falls out
- She's left hanging from a cable
- Miss Foster is about to cut the other cable
- But the Doctor sonics her devise
- She drops it as it sparks
- And the Doctor catches it
- He can now get into the building
- So he rushes downstairs
- And helps Donna inside as well
- They free Penny
- And run off
- Straight into Miss Foster
- She tells them her real name
- And that shes a nanny to the Adipose
- Shes about to kill them
- But Donna & Doctor escape
- Miss Foster is worried
- What she's doing is illegal
- So she sends out a signal
- To go into "premature labor"
- Adipose start appearing everywhere!
- Doc & Donna find the signal transmitter
- And try to stop the transition
- Using the complimentory necklace
- Donna & he have a nice talk
- And the Doc confesses he's still alone
- He mentions Martha
- And how he destroyed half her life
- He also says that Rose is still lost
- Miss Foster doubles the signal
- So people will die, like Stacey
- The Doctor is distressed
- He can't save them
- As he needs another necklace
- Donna holds hers up
- They have a cheesy grin
- And stop the signal
- Miss Foster gathers all the Adipose
- And the Mother Ship appears
- The Adipose are beamed up
- As is Miss Foster
- Doc & Donna run up to the roof
- And try to talk to Miss Foster
- Doc explains about the Mother Ship
- How they know its illegal
- To breed Adipose on Earth
- So they'll want to get rid of evidence
- e.g Miss Foster
- The ship stops beaming her up
- And she falls to her death
- The danger is all over
- And Donna demands to go with the Doctor
- She already has her stuff
- And just needs to ring her mother
- To tell her the car keys are in the bin
- Donna stops a bystander
- And tells her to tell her mother which bin it is
- She then runs off
- The bystander turns around
- And its ROSE!
- But then she fades away
- Doc & Donna take off in the TARDIS
- And make a brief stop over a hill

Isn't Rani a female timelord who escaped just before Gallifrey being destroyed?
In the last of season 3, a red-nailed hand picked up the master's ring from the ash....and Miss Foster is also red-nailed.
this is confusing me. i thought it was miss foster who was the living fat that absorbs. people the rani does not apear in this episode. don't know about the other sonic but she is not the rani.
actualy from the pic of the doc holding the two it does not look like a sonic screwdriver at all. its probably some other device.

Gods, can we PLEASE not let it be the Rani? She's a poor man's Master. For my money, The Rani is behind Sil, the Quarks, and the vintage '80's Cybermen in terms of overall, preposterous lameness.

Maybe the ring that this red nailed lady picked up is a bit like the chamellion arc. maybe the master is sorta living inside this ring i mean he has been reported to appear later in the series.
It does sound unlikley but i predicted that the master would appear in series 3 and Davros would in series 4. i could be right!
Ah, I think I've may have cracked the RED code in this episode. You see, when under wraps, the episode was meant to be about Donna trying to find the Doctor because of an alien RED alert. The episode was even rumoured to be called "Red Alert" on doctorwhoonline.com
People, the red-nailed hand was obviously the master's "wife", and if you think it has anything to do with this episode, read some interviews. They say, and I quote "...The hand taking the ring was a plot device for future writers, and we don't plan to do anything with it."
Also, The rani wouldn't come back immediately after reviving a different time lord, it would look like they were short of ideas. If the rani's coming back, it's not til season 5 or 6.

it could be the rani, these tablet things could be one of her experiments, in the classic series when the doctor met her twice she was carrying out sum wierd experiments, maybe this is her trying summit new, maybe the tablet takes control of people or summit, im just guessing here but it does sound like it would be a good story, an army of controlled humans for the rani to use for anything she likes, like revenge on the doctor

ok - its a really bad idea for the story arc, but could it be colours?
cos we had RED as a rumoured story arc, we have project INDIGO in episode 12, and we have GRAY who is captain jack's brother in torchwood.
god its good to speculate.
aw the adipose look so cute. but they maybe like the green dudes from the film Gremlins-small and funny, but they can tear your bloody face off! maybe it could be like the movie Alien, because the adispose could burst out of the person's belly (like from the picture of the adipose stretching someone's stomach at the top of the page).
about the colour arc theory, it's a good idea but i think colours are too vague, and what would they lead up to? of course i could quite easily be wrong.
I've suspected sarah was to be the rani since the "cremation" of the master scene, plus hearing about her. If Sarah is the Rani, I believe we will not find out yet, perhaps it will be another of those "Bad Wolf" style appearances in every episode, then find out in ep 12/13?
She must be the Rani.

There's s way of getting from Foster to Rain, which is an anagram of Rani, via a nursery rhyme that also involves a Doctor.
I think the Doctor is more likely to say "see where you're going way off the mark good try though", in about 2 seconds ;-)

I think I can guess whats going on with Rose.
She may have found the Torchwood or UNIT from the other dimesion.
And is bleeding through breaks in time using some sort of device that is not fully developed so she cant stay for long.
But later she can.

that sounds good, and if the rumours about davros trying to break through the void r right then that explains stuff, maybe rose is in her torchwood and they noticed sumthing strange and she wanted to go and look so thats how she came through, and by the end of the seires davros is through and so is rose, oh and the way a tv guide i read says it davros is bac cause the way it is written suggests he is bac and its not just saying is he or isnt he
I think the void is breaking between the parallel universes. Davros may have been hidden in the Time Lord prison...

A good episode but nowhere near as good as Smith & Jones however Rose appearing made it all worth while.
Has anyone considered that there is a Doctor in Rose's universe?
That would make the most sense, as the Time Lords would want to capture the creator of the Daleks and have him work to destroy the Daleks. And then when Davros refuses they could have locked him up with a bunch of Daleks. Since the Genesis Ark and all those other Daleks are back in the void, its very likely that Davros is using the Daleks to try and break out of the void, unintentionally causing Pete's World to collapse and spit Rose, Mickey, Jackie, and Pete out in our world. That would be a good story arc, with Rose trying to find out what's going on and getting through small holes that Davros makes in both universes.
Davros could have been hiding in the Genesis Arc and ended up on parallel Earth! Maybe when the Daleks got sucked through, they actually got to the other side and came back when Rose found a way!
But wouldn't Davros had had the Daleks kill everyone on the parallel Earth and conquer that universe? It is definitely what the Daleks would do at any rate, so why would they bother coming back here, or why would they let Rose live?

I've thought of a story arc. Could it be ROSE? Because Rose was mentioned quite a bit in Series 3. And in Partners In Crime, Rose was seen and mentioned by Donna. And I think on on of the finale pages, there was an arc about picking out letters of seen and mentioned words which spell ROSE.
if theres no parallel doctor how come theres a parallel torchwood coz if you think about it torchwood was set up because of the doctors actions by queen vic but because there isn't a parallel doctor queen vic died so how did parallel torchwood happen???
well if the time lords can travel between parallel universes meaning there is only 1 for all, then those torchwood's may have been setup when the doctor (or a diffeent timelord) went to that universe.
if that isn't right, then RTD's answer of 1 timelord really didn't work out.

there is a parralal torchwood cause the attack on queen victoria still took place in that universe but she died so the torchwood there was created because of her death, thats how there torchwood came about, to stop that sort of thing happening again

I don't know about shoes but there is lots of energy in Dr Who, and the clocks represent TIME.
Erm, is it just me or does the sound of Rose's footsteps sound more like "normal" floor than congrete - which she is supposed to walk on? Is it just me or is anyone else thinking Torchwood?

1 thing thats just came to my mind, could be to do with rose returning. what about in time crash when the 2 tardis's collided. *blow a whole in the space time continuim the size of...belguim* couldnt that mean that there was a gap in the universe when the 2 tardis's collided allowing rose/davros 2 get in???? it just popped into my head
In The Runaway Bride I thought that Donna's theme was silly. But it kinda works now. And yunno the music in this episode when The Doctor and Donna are getting in the window cleanie thingy, and the same music in where the Doctor is trying to get Donna out of the window. The music is sort of supensive with DJ scratches in the background. It was used a lot in this episode. I think that this is the main song/theme for series 4, like "All the Strange,Strange Creatures" in series 3.
i just watched the episode with the commentary and realised that Rose nods when donna is speaking therefore she knows she is being spoken too and aknowledges it whether or not shes thinks shes still in the parallel universe is unknown but im sure there must be some recognition when they meet again in the last episodes of the series.
Rose may be the arc thingy becasue RTD did say that the Master mentioned it and he did make mention of Rose while taunting Martha in Last of the Time Lords.
Just throwing that out there.
Okay, now RTD's really confusing the crap out of me. He said that the arc is more of an arc theme, and not a consistent word. He said that it's cumulative and something from each episode contributes to the finale. Perhaps this could still be "Red" but that's too constant.
I'm beginning to entertain a zodiac theory, which starts with Max CAPRICORN is VotD. How does this apply to PiC? Well, here are possible theories...
1. That glass statue horn thing on Miss Foster's desk. Could that be a symbol for Taurus?
2. That guy the Doctor visits with the catflap. For a second there's a strange shot where you see his goldfish. Pisces?
3. In the alley when the Doctor stands there with Donna's bags... there's graffiti on the wall where you can make out an arrow. Could this be the Sagittarius symbol?
I bet one of these and not all of these applies...that's if this theory is valid. Which it's probably not. Just throwing it out there. Still, a Zodiac theme would go well with Donna's grandfather, who's an amateur astronomer.

Didn't anyone realise the daleks got sucked in the middle of the void so they were in the middle of each universe stuck because the doctor and rose closed the void/bridge so no one could get back in except the daleks didn't realise that there was still a gap in the middle so yhey could have got out either side but they didn't so thats what really basically happened
