Ah, they've restored my faith.
The "dude" is Nigel Havers, probably best known for "Chariots of Fire". No idea who the character is, probably the Trickster in disguise.
I think it's a trifle odd that SJS isn't wearing a veil.

Who the HELL is the groom? Unless he's a bad guy brainwashing S.J. (like Malcom in the Middle), I've never seen him before.
And I was hope the Brigadier would marry her...
