Yup, the brand new animated Doctor Who story, Dreamland, will be vworping its way onto our TV's at some point this year. Can you taste the excitement?

Roswell, USA. The dusty strip of desert where nothing ever grows except alien legends and strange stories about flying saucers... The TARDIS touches down in 1958 and another legend is about to be born!

During a visit to a local diner the Doctor stumbles upon a mysterious alien artefact that leads him on a mission to rescue Rivesh Mantilax from the threat of the Viperox and the clutches of the American military.

All thats been revealed so far is that the Doctor will have two new companions, one of them, Cassie Rice, will be voiced by Georgia Moffett!

The six-part series will be premièred via the BBC Red Button on BBC One and the Doctor Who website, and the 45-minute long animation will be broadcast in its entirety on CBBC on BBC Two this autumn and also on the BBC HD channel.

Bullet-point Plot

The Satan Pit

Episode Objective: To find the TARDIS, to discover why the planet is able to orbit a black hole without being sucked in, and to save the crew from the Ood and the Beast.

Bullet-point Plot

• The Odd are approaching
• Zack finds himself trapped in the control room
• The others are trapped by the lift shaft
• They are all low on ammunition
• Zack tells Jefferson to get everyone together
• The Doctor and Ida contact the base
• They report that the seal is open
• But the Pit seems to be bottomless
• The Doctor and Ida prepare to be brought up in the lift
• But the power fails
• The Beast begins to speak to each of the humans
• It plays on their secrets, hidden fears and insecurities
• The lift cable snaps, severing communications
• The Doctor and Ida are trapped
• With just fifty-five minutes of air left
• Ida decides to rig up the loose cable
• So she can explore the Pit
• But the Doctor tells her that he will go down
• Rose rallies the others
• Danny comes up with a way to disable the Ood
• By broadcasting a telepathic flare
• Which will reduce their telepathic field to zero
• And disrupt their brains
• However the only way to do this,
• Is to go through the airless maintenance shafts
• Zack says he can extend the oxygen field
• They struggle through the tunnels
• With the Ood in hot pursuit
• Jefferson choses to sacrifice himself
• The Ood almost reach Toby
• But his eyes turn red
• He signals the Ood not reveal his secret
• The Ood pause
• And allow Toby to be rescued by Rose and Danny
• Danny manages to activate the flare
• The telepathic field drops to 'Basic Zero'
• The Ood grab their heads and collapse
• Zack joins them back at the mine shaft
• The Doctor is suspended by the cable down the pit
• He jolts as the line finally runs out
• There is no bottom in sight
• The Doctor decides to detach the cable
• And fall the rest of the way
• Zack, Danny, and Toby plan to leave the base in their rocket
• Rose wants to stay
• But she is sedated and placed on the rocket.
• The Doctor survives his fall by a pocket of air
• He finds himself face to face with a gigantic demon
• It is chained to the cavern wall.
• The Beast appears to be little more than an animal
• The Doctor deduces that he is seeing only the physical form
• As the mind of the Devil is inside Toby
• The Doctor realizes that the planet was the perfect prison
• If the Beast freed itself the planets gravity field would collapse
• And the planet would fall into the black hole
• The loss of the gravity field would also mean the rocket would fall into the black hole
• So Rose would be sacrificed to stop the Beast
• The Doctor claims he believes in Rose
• And then causes the gravity field to collapse
• On the rocket, the runes appear on Toby's skin
• As the Beast takes full possession of him
• Rose grabs Zack's bolt gun and shoots out the glass
• She unbuckles Toby
• Who is sucked into space
• The rocket crew brace themselves for death
• Suddenly, everything becomes still
• And the rocket heads away from the black hole
• The Doctor's voice comes over the speakers
• He tells them that the TARDIS is towing them away
• He was also able to pick up Ida
• But unable to save the Ood.
• The Doctor and Rose reunite in the TARDIS
• Ida asks the Doctor what the Beast really was
• The Doctor replies that whatever he was, they beat it

The Impossible Planet

Bullet-point Plot

• The TARDIS appears in a store cupboard
• In a sanctuary base
• The Doctor notes theres something wrong with it
• Like it's got a stomach problem
• A doorway opens
• Some aliens appear
• They claim that they 'must feed'
• Ssurround The Doctor and Rose
• And add '... you, if you are hungry'
• They are Ood, a basic slave race
• Another hatch opens,
• And three humans enter
• Jefferson is surprised to see the Doctor and Rose
• He reports their presence to Captain Zack
• The voice of Ida Scott comes over the speakers
• Warning that a 'big one' is coming.
• The base begins to shudder and an alarm sounds.
• All the humans enter the control room
• There is an earthquake like impact
• Then introductions are given
• The others are surprised to see The Doctor and Rose
• Ida pulls a lever which opens the roof
• And reveals the black hole
• Which they are orbiting
• The Doctor states that it is impossible
• Ida agrees
• She says the reason they were on the planet
• Was to find the power source which was keeping it in orbit
• So they are in the process of drilling into the planet
  
• The Doctor realizes the room where the TARDIS was has collapsed
• And the TARDIS has fallen into a crevasse

• Such as 'the beast shall rise from its pit'

• The Doctor asks Danny how the Ood communicate

• Connected by a low level telepathic field

• But the field strength climbs to Basic 30
• The Ood below them sit up and stare at them

• The Ood reply in unison, '…and you will worship him.'
• Scooti finds that someone has left the base
• She looks out a window and sees Toby on the surface
• He's not wearing a space suit and covered in ancient ruins
• He clenches his fist, and the glass shatters
• Air rushes out of the base.
• All survive including a normal Toby
• But a dead Scooti is discovered floating in space
• It is learned they have successfully finished drilling
• The Doctor and Ida enter a lift and prepare to descend
• The Ood's telepathic field reaches basic 100 - brain death.
• Ida and The Doctor arrive in a giant and ancient cavern
  
• Toby once again becomes possessed
• The ruins covering his body fly off him onto an Ood.

• And identify themselves as the Legion of the Beast
