Journey's End
The entire universe is in danger as the Daleks activate their masterplan. The Doctor is helpless, and even the Tardis faces destruction. The only hope lies with the Doctor's secret army of companions – but as they join forces to battle Davros himself, the prophecy declares that one of them will die.

And here's an Ultimate (yes, with a capital "U") squee picture, if your into that kinda thing. If not, then its still very very cool.
PLUS just letting you know, the Stolen Earth page has been updated and its got even more spoilery goodness and pretty pictures.
Hooray!

wow love it!!!
Oh darn it! No K9. Can I point out that Mickey is wearing some decidely dodgy gloves
PS - they all look VERY apprehensive! What are they looking at?
WHERES PETE?????
Ooooh - outlandish theory. It's not the Doctor's body under that red blanket - it's Pete! Cannot ascertain why he would have a sonic screwdriver, but he could have worked out that he needed to come back to stop the Racnoss given that the Doc had somehow be removed. I mean why else would they just show you an arm and not his face? Got to be something to mislead people watching that he has died whereas in fact he hasn't.....
If Pete did die, Rose will kick some serious tail
PPS - Dalek's "Master"plan (hint?) and also have you noticed on teh BBC website, when you click through to this week's episode, Donna has a totally different (short and redder) haircut. I assume this is Donna's alternate self had she not made a certain decision, but odd that she is not like that in the trailer
Does Donna have different hair? Its tied up, thats all... and I really do think its the Doctor that's dead, not Pete.
There's never been any conformation that Pete was returning, only someone in a photo that vaguely looks like him, so he might not make an appearance.
Then again, he might, but they can't fit everyone into the promo shoot, it would be far to crowded!
Huh?! It's definitely different!! It's brown (and long) in the picture when you first hit the Doctor Who site, then it's a very bright red (and short or tied up) when you click through to the Turn Left episode - look again
The main reason Pete is not in the picture, because I'm pretty sure we'll see him is because he's stuck in the other dimension Rose, Mickey and Jackie came back because they weren't in there right timeline.
At least that's what I think.
Did I say timeline I ment dimension, realised just after pressing post. (why doesn't blogspot have an edit button).
some dodgy cutting out down at the feet but i may have to geek it up and use it as a my poc background pic
YAY! My new desktop background!
I don't care what they're looking at...
I can't wait for the next two episodes!
Although I don't want it to end.
I guess if Pete, Gwen, Ianto, Luke, Maria or Clyde are making any sort of appearance, they're getting way smaller roles than the rest. But I suppose we already knew that.
I think people are going to overanalyse again; just because something has an ordinary words in it, such as "master", "turn", "left", that doesn't mean that it means anything outside of the context it is said in. Not everything is an arc/reference/foreshadowing.
Also, it does seem odd that Tom Milligan isn't involved what-so-ever. You'd think Martha's fiance would make a small appearance, just like he did in the previous finale. He's obviously hero-like material. Just my opinion though.
Notice, in one of the spoiler pics, the image of earth up on the command screen? It is surrounded by different planets -- i.e., the "lost" planets.
No K9? :(
Me so sad...
Anyway, w00t! Can't wait!! :P
Well - K9 was in it, remember - that was River Song......
Yayyyy! Thanks, Jess and Cameron.
I'm a bit disappointed not to see K9 though.
I almost gave everyone one in the room a heartattack from screaming so loud
That picture caught me completely off gaurd! and the ones on blogtor are fantastic! thanks jess...
(continues to oogle at the tiem team)
I had a thought, maybe the stars aren't going out, earth is transported creating that ilussion. Then offcourse what does, the Darkness is coming mean?
Well - K9 was in it, remember - that was River Song......
iam guessing by the dots that was was a joke?
Hahaha!
It was some of the speculation that people were coming up with when they thought River Song was someone we've met before.
Oh, The Stolen Earth page has been updated. Tis excitingly spoilerific!
Ooo I'm so excited about this yet really depressed at the same time.
I love how no matter how posh Jackie has become she's still got trainers on :D
Aaaah! My moment to sqeeee! :)
I was so excited looking at this picture this morning that I was late for my class! That I teach!
I agree, this is going for a desktop background :)
Wonder if they'll get all together like this? It sort of seems that they'll be in several groups, running separately. Love the words 'Doctor's secret army'! Would've been nice if they got together more often to have fun, not just fight aliens :)
Squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! I love this photo so much!! Thank you for posting it!
I think that it can safely be assumed now that Rose dies because it says "the prophecy declares that one of them will die" and the Beast in The Impossible Planet said that Rose would die in battle. Also: OMG!!!!!!!! This is going as combined desktop bg with all the other photos! Maybe in a collage . . . .
The photo is immense.
I also like the

"the prophecy," eh? Whose, I wonder?
HOLY *beep* ON A *beep* SANDWICH.
I love that everyone (well, almost everyone) is together in one photo, but it's too crowded. Not to mention Jack looks considerably older out of nowhere.
Ahwell, I like it anyway. Now someone just needs to make a good wallpaper out of it...
Thank for posting it! =D
I think that it can safely be assumed now that Rose dies because it says "the prophecy declares that one of them will die" and the Beast in The Impossible Planet said that Rose would die in battle
We can't assume that. I'd say if anyone dies, fair enough Rose is a strong possibility, but Donna could also die. Or no-one. The other characters have been pushed back slightly, so it's a bit irrelevant for them to die. We can't guarantee Rose despite her being one of the more likely choices.
love the picture I can hardly wait till saturday.
I wonder what's true of all the rumours.
I've never been happy to see Jackie until now. lol
Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! I can't believe there's no K9. :'(
OMG!!!
I'm in pain with want to see this show!
I just noticed! The Red Dalek's plunger is a different size in all the photos of it! On the magazine cover, it's huge, on the one with the Doctor and Donna it's slightly larger than the square holding it, and in the one where it's flanked by the two odd Daleks, the plunger is smaller than the square holding it. Could this be significant?
Well it could be Jack that dies and then comes back to life! You never know, they may have just said that to whip us into a frenzy and the answer is that simple.
The trickster is not the fortune teller
source dwa
yea there are picturs of the fortune teller in DWA
...even the TARDIS faces destruction - interesting!
I am so happy to see that the Doctor is in his brown suit for these.
Jackie looks lovely, looks like life in the PU has been good for her. I wonder if we'll get any news on 'the baby'.
I also really want Sarah Jane's kick-ass boots! seriously, they seem to be made from awesome.
And...I want to snog the living daylights out of Mickey, I'm that glad to see him back. Looking more badass than ever.
Poor Donna doesn't seem to be as in tune in the picture as everyone else. lol,I love their 0_0 faces.
Jack...ah, he sure does love his kneeling pose, doesn't he?
Martha, looking lovely as always and Rose...I really can't say just how bleedin' overjoyed I am she's finally back! All in all, best picture of the entire series!
"One of them will die." Who do you guys think it'll be? Unfortunately, I think it'll be Donna. :( RTD said he could never kill Rose, so that leave her and her family out of the question. Jack and SJS both have spinoffs they must attend to, and I just have this feeling Martha will live. I dunno why, she just never really seemed like the type. What do you think?
I think it's yet another Universe where their Doctor dies..and Donna sees what would of happend in our Universe!
RTD said he could never kill Rose
Yeah, but sadly uncle rusty is a notorius liar when it comes to this kind of stuff...
I'm certain Donna won't end up dead. She might die, but she won't end up dead. ;-)
Could the prophecy be prophesied by the fortune teller?
Doctor Who villain Davros will return to the show for the finale of the current season, it has been confirmed. It was recently rumoured that the evil creator of the Daleks, who last battled The Doctor in 1988, will be played by Julian Bleach. The actor, renowned for his stage work, recently appeared as a sinister ringmaster in the Torchwood second season episode 'From Out Of The Rain'. Davros first (more)- got this from imdb
Prophecy, eh? Well, like many other shows did, lots of times prophecies come with fine print/loop holes/last words that dying person didn't get a chance to say/burnt page (well, you get the gist), so that in the end prophecy is fulfilled, but no one dies.
Although, it's RTD, so he might fulfill the prophecy, given how many things do point out to a very sad finale this year.
Anyone that has ever watched Buffy remember when it was prophesied that she would die, and she did...and then was resuscitated with CPR. Thus the prophesy was fulfilled, but we didn't lose the main character.
Then again...anyone wonder if it might be Mickey or Jackie? It doesn't say that it's *got* to be either Rose, Donna, Martha or Jack.
Don't mind me, I'm just trying to find a way where it doesn't have to be Donna, like it seems to be leading to.

As confirmed in this week's Radio Times (21-27 June) by Russell T Davies OBE (and congratulations to him for that, while we're at it), the Torchwood team will appear in the final story of this season's Doctor Who. Gareth had a blast filming this, so we hope you enjoy watching it.

Yaaay! I was hoping for that!
Okay, this will be longwinded so brace yourself, I’m gonna analyze what’s going on with everyone in the picture:
SJS: Her look makes it seem like she knows what’s going on, but she has never seen it to this scale.
Mickey: Whatever it is, I’m gonna stop it and protect people. Sounds like the good old Mickey.
Jackie: Looks terrified, so no matter what/who it is she’s freaked. Which makes sense, unless she was on Torchwood she never saw as much as the rest. Cybermen and Daleks and horror stories from Rose/Mickey/Doctor, but she’s only seen about 4 or 5 aliens/alien spacecraft, all told.
Rose: She looks…tired. I’m not sure why but I get this sense that she’s been dealing with whatever it is for a while, and she got really close to saving the Universe(s) but something (Davros?Master?Redalek) has shown up throw a wrench into the works. Now she’s scared about what comes next because she knows how bad it could get.
Doctor: It doesn’t have to be like this/you don’t have to do this/there’s only 2 of us now/It’s not too late to stop/But we surrender/etc. He’s trying to stop ?Davros?Master?Redalek? peacefully, with no more bloodshed.
Martha: You H2O me, shoot me, kill my family, my friends and try to take over my planet. I’m fine with that. But you killed Thomas. And NO ONE messes with my boyfriend. CHARGE!!! Well, maybe not exactly, but she’s ready to go. Which is awesome. I’m loving Martha in this series.
Donna: Has either no clue what is going on or is not scared. Could really go either way.
Jack: Okay, I have to kill you, but can I sleep with you first?
SPECULATIONS:
SURVIVORS: SJS, Mickey, Jackie, and Jack*
MIGHT DIE: Rose, Martha, Donna, Jack.
Rose, because it could be tragic and RTD wants a clean slate. I don’t think so but I’m not denying it could happen.
Martha: In case RTD wants to be shocking or wants to kill someone that the Doctor cares about without killing Rose or Donna.
Donna: She is prophesied to die or something, and it would make sense, but It will be a good death, I think. Glorious, and not spontaneous, going down saving the Universe(s)
*Jack: Jack, being Jack, will die several times, but he’ll get back up again without losing stride. He’s Jack that way.
I don’t think SJS will die because she’s got her own show. Killing Mickey might be taken as a bit racist and he’s struggling towards being cool, almost there. No reason to kill him. Jackie too old to die.
OTHER IDEAS: Davros is the big bad for the season, but Dalek Caan, who failed/betrayed him or whatever is tortured. However, I think he sets things in motion somehow for the Red Dalek (Harriet Jones?) to attack Davros, meaning that the Doctor might have to work with the Daleks (has that ever happened?) The Master will be there somehow, but will either be killed or maybe just sitting on a roof throwing things at everyone indiscriminately, just because he’s the Master.
Maybe he didn’t go to the end of time for some reason, because of the events of Gridlock. He could have gone somewhere/when else, if the future changed since the Doctor didn’t do his stuff in Grid Lock.
PS: Woot, Torchwood. I wonder if we get to see who's in Season 3.
>>Killing Mickey might be taken as a bit racist<<
God, I hope not. That would be the most pitiful complaint, ever. Yeah, that's it, RTD is SO very racist. Um...no.
Besides, isn't Martha black too? Not saying *you're* being ridiculous, but it would be ridiculous if someone complained about racism because a black person dies, because there's also a black person who LIVES as well.
Though, somehow...I fear you might be right. People are horribly predictable that way.
daystardragon you had the same Idea as me analysing the looks on faces etc. Some are the same even, basically.
Jackie looks the most scared there in that pic.
Sarah kinda looks like she's got a familiarity to the fear (though could be me just assuming Davros/Daleks).
Rose looks a little confused and worried.
Martha looks like she wants a closer look while still cautious.
Micky looks like he's been caught by the cops with his dodgy gloves on and a giant diamond in his hand.
Jack's probably thinking... I'm going to die so many times today, oh boy. Lets get this started then.
While Donna over there is kinda, "get out" but no less or more surprised or afraid than usual.
With The Doctor I can just hear him saying "wait, just wait" "you don't have to do this" and that sort of thing. While holding off Jack there with that one had, down boy lol.
And I had written this completely before seeing daystardragon's comment. The Doctor's pose just has to be his pose for those lines. I love Tennant's repeating lines like "stop it, just stop it", "wait, just wait", "don't do that, no don't" etc.
Also Dalek's Master Plan happens to be the name of the serial which was the first time a companion ever died on Doctor Who. Coincidence of wording there I think not. Does it mean it is a clever hint or the like, maybe or maybe not. Might just be their way of making us speculate.
You're all so far off the reality of this picture. They all get together and are thinking about the weeping angels in Blink. So the Doctor had a great idea - let's play statues!
Sam said...
"I just noticed! The Red Dalek's plunger is a different size in all the photos of it!......"
In the classic series when ever a dalek was needed for publicity they just threw togeather various different parts of different daleks (there were different styles through-out the series) and thus they all became mismatched. We could be having this again eg:
"ah well just give that one a coat of red paint, while that one is away on photoshoot X" type idea.
I guess you're right Rossy. Actually, now that I think about it, if they cared about the details of all the props, then the prop used in Evolution of the Daleks that was supposed to be Dalek Caan would not have had Dalek Thay's . . . or Jast's. I'm going by how they were in Doomsday, because they got switched in the Series 3 Dalek 2-parter. And I must say that a lot of you guys have some great ideas for interpreting the picture.
"SURVIVORS: SJS, Mickey, Jackie, and Jack*
MIGHT DIE: Rose, Martha, Donna, Jack."
I think you're mostly right, but considering Martha and Mickey are both supposed to join Torchwood, they'll both live. And I think Donna loses her memory (although she might die and somehow be brought back). I'm expecting Rose to die, so I can be pleasantly surprised if she doesn't!
I still think it's Donna that'll die, with Rose's alternate universe Donna or Turn Left Donna somehow coming over to this universe and being put with Wilf - you can never tell her
Anyone care to speculate why the Red Dalek has such big 'wings' sticking out just above the weapons?
Apparently Noel Clarke has said in the metro newpaper that he's the full time companion for series 5. Don't no whether it's true or not. Anyone got the paper?
Mickey full time? Urgh, I really hope not. Sorry but I don't like him.
Nice pic - but I agree with the others who have said it - "Where's K9????" I'll be really let down if he doesn't show up at least briefly at Sarah's house or something...why release the K9 Tales around now if he won't be back at all? Surely it's not just to promote Bob Baker's K9 series for Aussie TV - seems too nice not to have some K9 cameo-age for trade!
I love Mickey, but I don't think that's true, with him supposedly joining Torchwood and Moffat's clean slate policy.
is it too obvious that Jack is the one who dies? We're all speculating over martha, donna etc. but Jack could easily die (as he tends to do) then come back to life so no one has to be all sad
"even the Tardis faces destruction."
paradox machine again? after all there is a lot of wibbly wobbly timey wimeyness going on
It could be referring to that bit of the midseason trailer where the TARDIS console seemed to be on fire.
"is it too obvious that Jack dies"
No, not really because if Jack was the one to die, there wouldn't be the same amount of publicity and hoo har about one of the companions dying. Jack dying is an everyday event, like brushing your teeth or something. Whereas Rose dying for instance isn't, and so it deserves more coverage and hoo har. Although it could just be the doctor who team winding us up I suppose!
I don't want Rose to die :(
I think Dalek Caan's chained up as an unwilling guinea pig for Davros' experiments.
That is, if it really is Dalek Caan, for all we know, it might be another Dalek and Dlaek Caan might not be in this story and might still be out there somewhere.
Davros has been getting all the info about the war the destruction of the Emporer and the Doctor!
A general question (I'm curious) - if there were living Time Lords in a parallel universe, would the Doctor sense them?
@ n.t.
There's a double problem here. The TARDIS broke down in Pete's World due to its incompatibility with the parallel universe. Given that a psychic link exists between the Doctor and his TARDIS, my guess is that he's equally incompatible - which kinda handicaps him as a Time Lord.
However, I'm still not sure as to how Pete's World relates to the regular universe. Did it diverge somewhere in the past? Was it completely autonomous from the beginning? The Time War might have spanned a multiverse rather than just one universe, but this is just speculation about wibbly wobbliness. RTD probably wouldn't (and won't) tell us anything about the series' cosmology, 'cos it's all just a patchwork sewn from retcon on retcon.
Wouldn't it be cool if Chris Eccleston comes back in the last episode - as the Doctor from a parallel universe.
Clearly Pete's at home looking after the child he and Jackie had together - he's clearly a SNAG (Sensitive New Age Guy) So Jackie's a new mum - couldn't kill her off - so we'll rule out knocking off Mum!
However wayyyyyy back in Satins Pit (S2 for the newbie's) it said that 'Rose' will die in battle. Perhaps this is the 'battle' she'll die in (How that pains me to write that!) I'm just hoping for some Ten/Rose loving - Bring on the pash :P :P
How very 'high' are Sarah Jane's Boots in that pic - as for Mickey he was always dodgy!!!
Can't wait to see the Captain Jack meets Donna moment - I'm already laughing my arse off thinking about it!
Thanks again for the updates Jess
How slow is this website!? There are 2 new exclusive video clips from CBBC and GMTV on YouTube!
:D
Someone told me that the Doctor, to save the world, has to somehow (I have no idea how) make everyone lose their memory of him and send them all back where they came from (Rose - parallel universe, Jack - Torchwood etc) If this happened it would be so sad!
Im not sure about sending people back to be honest, but I think that some people will use their memory of the Doctor... However, I don't see how Rose wouldn't travel with the Doctor unless she was forced not to... Maybe she is sent back to her parallel universe somehow... or she could be the companion for 2009-2010! Who knows??
Sorry, I tend to babble when my favourite companion of all time is returning to the best TV show on earth in a matter of hours. *squee!!!*
>>How slow is this website!? There are 2 new exclusive video clips from CBBC and GMTV on YouTube!<<
You try running a website! I'm not on the internet all the time ya know! :P
The GMTV video has already been added to the Turn Left page ages ago, but I didn't know about the other one. Thanks for the heads up!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qiyJeAryDzs
There's the other one, I believe. Don't worry about being slow. You can move at a snail's pace if you're brilliant. ;-D
I love it when the doctor team up his friends to fight against daleks with davros aliens and monsters just like spartans fights against perisans
Isn't it amazing how you don't see anyone eat or sleep or even go to the toilet? Maybe they're bladder's are so big or something.
Rofl It's so funny when Davros gets owned by Donna. The Daleks just get owned. When will they ever stop?
