RadioTimes

In preparation for the finale (yay) all the magazines and whatnot have gone Doctor Who mad! With red Daleks, the Time Team, and Davros talk. Unfortunately I don't have my own copies, so can't show them to ya...

BUT, the ever wonderful Cameron does!
So just head over to BlogtorWho and bask in the gloriousness of finale type stuff.

"This episode ends with the biggest cliffhanger known to humankind. You will lean out of your window and hear children screaming" (RTD)

HA! *does a little "I told you so" dance*

In one of the articles it says the Doctor teams up with a bunch of old faces...and in that list of people he TEAMS UP WITH is...Harriet Jones!

Booyah! I've been saying all along that Harriet hasn't turned to the Dalek Side. ;) It was starting to drive me batty all the people who kept saying that Harriet was the red Dalek like it was a fact, when it just did *not* sound right.

*shakes her groove thang a bit more*

(*cough* Me, gloat? Nah...)

Sorry you can't see them anonymous. Oh, and stormwolf - I've heard that Harriet Jones is the one that gets the Time Team together, BUT there have also been hints that this could just be a trap.

Remember she may not start as being the Red Dalek, but she could easily become part of it a-la Mr Diagoras.

The way they talk about Donna in these articles point to a sad ending or something for her - like a death or this memory loss theory. There's literally zilch to suggest that she's a timelord or something. They would allude to dark secrets around her or something if this was to work out.

That picture of the red dalek looks like they have put a black circle the end of its stump rather than an actual plunger

Also, RTD does talk about the Red Dalek as "he" - although if he had said "she" I guess it would have been a giveaway!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH! Oh wait. Its Tuesday. *waits till Saturday*

Cliffhanger = "EXTERMINATE" *doctor dies*

Here's a thought:

Might sound really random, but what if Rose IS the Red Dalek, and is converted at the very end of the episode. That would be enough to cause us all to die of shock.
And in a pic with Rose and the Red Dalek together, the caption says "Rose and the Supreme Dalek. Feel the electricity...", hinting that they're connected.

we should know contemplate the biggest shock in who history.

any ideas?
if rose is converted that would just be the worst.i mean it

dalek caan's bass is totally different to his old one, also he doesnt have the plunger...unless it broke off.

the whole thing is wider, between each weapon theres the dalek spheres, which would suggest that the casing hasnt actually just opened up.

hmm if harriet jones is the one who gathers the 'time team' then she could still be evil. Like in the league of extraordinary gentleman the guy who gets them all together turns out to be a baddie

knowing russell the cliffhanger will probably be the destruction of the entire earth at the hands of some dalek deathstar with the heros narrowly escaping in the TARDIS... and then they'll be a reset in episode 13

Sander said...

I hope they won't do a reset at the end of Episode 13, it would be a little too easy, I liked the idea in Last of the Timelords but something like that can only be used once.

God I hope not. It makes absolutely no sense for her character to endanger Earth like that. Not after all she's gone through to help defend it.

I bet the cliffhanger will be resolved VERY quickly in the beginning of episode 13. RTD makes you wait a week and then it's solved in seconds - think end of Utopia/beginning of TSoD, Sontaran double, SitL/FotD. All big nailbiting moments that are sorted within 60 seconds of the next episode!

Cliffhanger? WHAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!? HUGE CLIFFHANGER? I'm going to go SOB now, because there's no way I have the self-control to make myself wait two weeks and watch them both at the same time!!!

An even more outrageous thought. Could the Red Dalek be.....The Doctor himself? Or one of him if he's split?

From what I've heard:
Cliffhanger = Doctor regenerating.

I don't think the red Dalek Supreme is the Doctor... and if it is Harriet Jones then she could have been forced. She's in both episodes anyway.

Doctor = Red Dalek sounds fun!

>>From what I've heard:

We've already seen pictures of DT filming for the next "season" (specials or what have you), though. Unless they're planting those to throw people off.

Anonymous said...

I think they've filmed a bit too much for it to be a plant.

Jess said...

Well, I'm not going to argue with what I've heard, those people have been right and right again.

Tis not just a regeneration, tis a botched one. As the Doctor begins to change, so does the hand, and madness ensues resulting in two of them running around.

Could be wrong could be right, but would be an excellent cliff hanger. The Doctor's DEAD!!!! Oh, no he isn't!

Sageeth said...

Personally I think that would suck, but that is just me :p. Well the idea of the hand regenerating as well as him is kinda cool but I don't think the time for that would be yet. If they were going to do that they could have had season 5 without David and then at the end David comes back in after his stuff is all done and the second Doctor dies and for good - no regeneration.

Anonymous said...

Er I heard that the copy of the doctor or 2nd doctor or clone or whatever he is gets stuck in the parallel world with Rose. That would be cute for Rose, sad for the real doctor.

Dalek exterminate their greatest enemy the doctor that was rubbish
