Ah well, until then you can looky at these and be filled with joy.

I must thank the people from the DWF for providing these photos and even cleaning them up and making them look better, so MUCH thanks to Cameron, whovidan, Roamed, Katie, TardisKid, and Eternal!

Clicky for bigger versions!

UPDATE: If you want to see all the info and stuff from inside the magazines, then I suggest you check out Cameron's fantastic blog, BlogtorWho

Biliie is a beauty, that's for sure!

But hey, apart from Sarah Jane and Jack, has anyone heard if K9 will make at least a cameo or not? I'm sure he wouldn't be part of the main action as it might lessen the dramatic impact to have a cute little robot mutt rolling around, but I would hope to at least see Sarah Jane saying "Bye Bye Boy!" to him as she leaves to go help the Doctor, or some appearance by him.
It would be a real shame if he's the only companion to have appeared in the new Series *not* to appear in Series 4!

Where is the promo pic with all four of them, with the promo background?

adv said...

I mean, where did you find it?

I heard that he comes in and saves the day by killing one Dalek, and then has to go back to monitoring that black hole that prevented him from being in almost every episode of the Sarah Jane Adventures. However, it's just a rumor I heard and I don't know how true it is

Jess said...

Someone made it on the DWF, they go by the name of Eternal. Good isn't it?

Um... I think you can see it here if you want

Thanks Jess!

I love David Tennants expression the magazine cover. I don't have the right word to describe it but it's a bit of a weird look isn't it?. I love the pictures of Billie Piper. She looks great in all of them. She looks like the most important, stood infront of them all.

Donna's looking a bit intense especially in the TV and Satallite one!

Oh Sam I hope the rumor you heard is right!!! Somehow I doubt it tho - but then again, RTD did promise this finale to be as "fanwanky" as they get - and K9 socking it to a Dalek would be as Fanwanky as it could get - WooWho!!! :-) Still - didn't Terry Nation originally demand that K9 *not* be present in "Destiny of the Daleks" lest he upstage the Daleks? I wonder if the Nation estate may have softened such a stance (if it was ever true), or if K9 isn't seen as such a threat in the New Series given how often the Daleks appear?

Whatever the case, I really REALLY hope K9 is in it. RTD is supposedly a fan of our favorite tin pooch, and it would be odd to bring back everyone *but* K9, especially given how much the kiddies love him and how he'd give some much needed light heartedness to what is more and more sounding like an incredibly dark end to the Season. At least a quick cameo at the absolute minimum - but preferably would love for him to get to see the Doc, wag his tail on baord the TARDIS, and especially Donna's reaction to seeing him!!! Her reaction alone would be priceless! :-)
Come on boy, we need you!
"Affirmative Master!!!"
P.S. Of course I'm still praying he gets to be in SJA S2 more than Series I - come on people, stop punishing the fans and let K9 be with his Master and his Mistress full time!!! :-)

Martha looks really angry...

they'll probably release a promo pic of them all when the synopsis for journeys end is released!!

Interesting that the Doc is in the background for all the pictures

His not being in SJA is because of a series he is getting of his own - though he won't look like himself and it will be made in Australia (I happen to be Aussie) or something like that.

Also against all logic and with the fear of being beaten to death by all the Rose fans... I'm not that excited about her coming back anymore. I like Donna more personally and Jack too really. Martha not so much, not that she isn't cool (was at the end of last season). Rose is great and all but there is better. I think people just want to see her and the Doctor getting closer :p.

The radio times says donna biggest (dramatic) moment in TurnLeft is when she 'returns' to the circle of mirrors...

Voluntarily wiping/killing herself from the alternate no-doctor timeline?

Is the this where
'Donna dies' stems from?

Anonymous said...

Sageeth, thank you very much for saying that! I thought I was the only one who didn't see what's so great about Rose. I mean, come on, people! If you've been watching Doctor Who as long as I have (since the 4th Doctor) you'd know that his companions leave him, or he leaves them, or they die and he moves on to the next companion! Not that I don't like Rose, but I don't think everyone should just harp on her returning! Doctor Who isn't a love story or a soap opera, it's a sci-fi show!!!!!

Hmmm... I think this is it... so many companions to see him off... its regeneration time.

I think Davros is defeated.
but the series ends with a big emotional regeneration... without us getting to see who the new doctor is.

And the 2009 specials are the companions (focus on 1 per episode) reminiscing on their favourite (as yet unseen until this point) adventures with the doctor (tennant).

I can see what you mean about flashbacks, but David Tennant is in the christmas special, so it really does not look like he's regenerating. The drawing together of all the plots is actually RTD closing up all of his loose ends, so that in 2010, Steven Moffat will have a clean slate to work with.

Hey guys, just bought the new Total TVguide and on the front cover it says "Rose is back...but will she be the only assistant trying to save the Doctor?" And it has a picture of Rose, Martha, Donna and........ SARAH-JANE. So there we go, just confirms it, Sarah-Jane Smith IS in the final 3-parter.

Anonymous said...

I was in a supermarket, and on the cover of one of the TV mags, they had Sarah Jane with the others
'fraid I didn't get a closer look, had to go find the photo booth :D

Radio Times has loads of information on the companions - what RTD think of them and what the actresses think of them. Well worth buying! (Or reading in the supermarket if you're a cheapskate :P!)

I have already got the radio times, and here's the best info:

"This week's episode shows what would have happened if the doctor hadn't liberated her [Donna] from that [stuff about her being self - obsorbed mentioned earlier]"

"It's sort of love [The doctor and rose]," replies Davies "but sometimes I think this gets massively overstated."

Rose told him that she loved him. Before he'd finished his reply, he was cut off. Will we ever find out what the Doctor was going to say? "Maybe in this year's finale," grins Davies. "That conversation on Bad Wolf Bay has yet to be resolved, but it's by no means forgotten."

"Her mobile is still on board the TARDIS. When she needs him, she rings. He's never allowed anyone else to do that." Martha has already called him home to fight the Sontarans, and Davies hints that the phone will be "VERY important" to the series final.

Martha's return comes next week, when the two part finale lined up suggests a Doctor surrounded by adoring females: Martha, Donna, Rose, Sarah Jane... "and Captain Jack!" laughs Agyeman. "Actually it doesn't quite work like that. There's a lot going on and there's a wonderful moment that just emphasises how much he needs them all in different ways, and how they are very much part of a team within his life."

It's taken the Doctor a long time to find this best friend [Donna] - but can he keep her? "Huge events are in stor for Donna," promises Davies. "the returning companions have incredible status - as the finale swings into action, we've got Rose, with her ability to stride parallel worlds, alongside Captain Jack and his Torchwood team, plus Martha with the military might of UNIT behind her, and Sarah Jane with her Alien-busting career - and yet it's still Donna at the heart of things."

Doctor Who's end-of-season episodes find Donna fighting for survival.

DEFINING SCENE
"For me" says Davies "it's in this week's episode, Turn Left, when Donna returns to the circle of mirrors. It's a most blazing performance from Catherine, so full of fear and hope and bravery. It's just about my favourite performance in anything i've ever done [Says Davies... Ha!]. Even then, it's small fry compared to what she does in the final episode... but let's not get ahead of ourselves!"

Well... it looks like e've got something to look forward to, eh?

Similarly, the plot desciption cofirms that the plot is around what if Donna had turned right instead of left at an ordinary crossroads, the road that didn't lead to her meeting the Doctor. "Once the fateful decision is made, we are led through Davies's vision of a Dystopian [opposite to utopian], Doctor-less world." "Donna struggles with loss and despair, and what's that on her back?"

Cor blimey!

Sander said...

Very interesting, and didn't he sort of confirmed Gwen and Ianto in the finale didn't he. And Rose can stride paralel worlds?

Anonymous said...

Yep - seems to suggest that Ianto and Gwen will be in it too. That will stop them questioning about 'The right kind of Doctor'!

Really interested to see what they're going to do with the Bad Wolf Bay scene.

Think I also read somewhere that Billie Piper said that the finale will make you cry. Not looking forward to that so much...

(Or reading in the supermarket if you're a cheapskate :P!)

will do!!

Well, I'm not superexcited about Rose's return (I do like Martha and Donna more), but I'm excited about stories coming up and hoping they won't kill Rose and make Doctor depressed again!

RTD hints sound very cool! Although given his record, can we actually believe him? Well, maybe half the time :)

Thinking on 'Turn left' again, if it's a story of Donna who never met the Doctor and what's become of her life, then why is she upsed when she sees Doctor's body? (Or at least, that's what the trailer suggests) Is it that Rose makes her remember what her life could've been?

Interesting about the importance of cell phone, but wasn't it already important in Sontaran story? Doctor called Donna on THAT/Martha's phone to guide her how bring back Tardis.

Anonymous said...

" then why is she upsed when she sees Doctor's body?"

its a dead body!

Anonymous said...

But she never known the Doctor! Yes, she might get upset over the dead body, but given it's completely self-absorbed and superficial Donna from pre-Runaway Bride, you'd think she'd just blink and keep walking! Probably never give it a second thought, because the most importatant thing in her life is a current piece of Brangelina news or whaterver.
Remember what Lance said about her in those times? This was her world, pop culture and all.
So, there might be something else going on there.

I just thought of a theory how Rose travels from parallel Universe :) But there's a method to my madness :)

Remember in 'Doomsday' when the Void got closed, that sealed the rift between the Universes and Rose couldn't use big yellow button any more to travel back? Well, what if Davros was hiding in parallel Universe, or maybe it's Davros from parallel Universe, or he's in this Universe -- in any case, he figured out a way to free all the Daleks from the Void. So the Void got open, and that opened a rift between the Universes, so yellow button devices started working again (and possibly Torchwood there modified them to be less clunky and to have a gradual transfer) and that's how Rose was able to travel to our Universe!

Of course, it's just a theory, but it seems to be logical, at least.

Jennefer said...

" then why is she upsed when she sees Doctor's body?"

From what I gather, she doesn't meet the the Doctor in the alternate reality, but she still remembers him and all the adventures she had. They just haven't happened in this reality though. :)

Anonymous said...

She never met him but she remembers everything they did together? Where did you hear that?

Jess said...

Nah, she doesn't remember him. In this reality/timeline/universe she's never met him, and doesn't know who he is.

Michelle said...

But Rose knows who Donna is anyway? Wow. Can we say Bad Wolf?

Anonymous said...

I am quite sure Bad Wolf stuff will be playing into the storyline from here on in for a VERY long time. It would be great if that was (one of) RTD's thing(s) that engraved itself into the Doctor Who canon in such a way that Bad Wolf would be still going decades after Rose is forgotten (yes Doctor Who will be still on n 2148 :p). Seeing all time and space and loving The Doctor so much I can see her setting things up for saving him in the future without even being conscious to the fact.

"Very interesting, and didn't he sort of confirmed Gwen and Ianto in the finale didn't he."

Not really he just confirmed that the Torchwood team would be behind Jack. They were last season too, just busy off screen. But if they are in it perhaps not just Gwen but Owen and Tosh too. If The Doctor never met Donna he might never have met Martha and no end of the universe (though that may still have happened when Jack does catch him, just VERY different) and whatever the case they might not have died - different world for Jack as well as everyone around him . Perhaps The Doctor died before Jack got to him? Then he'd be really pissed off lol.

There are a million ideas which I could say. Bad Wolf stuff and all makes Jack be able to remember reality, or everyone even. Donna could remember because she is close to the point of the time change like reversing the paradox (somehow the girl remembers Sarah in SJA also - I kinda missed/skipped that episode so don't know full details).

I did not heard rose tlyer said to donna on her ear BAD WOLF and the doctor team Up his friends that is good idea
