Martha's reception was a mixed one, especially having arrived after the departure of the country's favourite, Rose. She did, however, quickly come to show how intelligent and independent she was, being one of the very few companions to decide to leave the Doctor. This tearjerking clip shows her choosing her family over the Doctor and encompassing a strong will whilst doing so.
