Karen set for comedy debut

Things are certainly looking up for Ms Gillan. After her role on Doctor Who, director and writers alike have fought to get her to star in their works. With Karen's stage debut coming round the corner, she also has something else up her sleeve.

It has been confirmed that she will star opposite Emun Elliott in a new comedy, Not Another Happy Ending. The show, based around a literary fiasco, will see Gillan depart from her role as fiesty Amy, into a new one as a best-selling author who ends up suffering from writer's block.

The show is set for production in 2012.
