Anonymous said...: That's what I was thinking. Botched regeneration allows John Simm to play the part (assuming he's The Doctor looking like THe Master or something, who knows) in the 2009 specials.

TD returns in 2010 when a new series kicks in proper.

The rumours of him leaving at the end of this series are both true and false - hence the confusion :)
