I keep reading stuff like this about Michelle Ryan:
> The 24-year-old is rumoured to be in secret talks with BBC bosses to replace Freema Agyeman in next year's series.
and
> Michelle Ryan is being lined-up to play Doctor Who’s assistant – after losing out last time to current assistant, Freema Agyeman.
Agyeman? The Doctor's _current_ companion? ... Whatever happened to Tate? Am I missing something here, or is it all these journalists who don't pay enough attention?
Please... fill me in if I'm just out of it.
Nah, you're not out of it at all.
The things the newspapers are reporting on have (as far as I know) absolutely no proof. They're just trying to get publicity and make stories.
Obviously they're up to date with the latest rumors (e.g. Michelle Ryan possibly being in Planet of the Dead) but as for the rest, well methinks they're just saying any old thing.
I'd heard that the new production team had asked RTD not to kill off any of the temporary companions so that they can decide which one will co-star with Matt Smith.
Either DenOfGeek or Internet users are utter morons. The Paris Hilton casting was outed as a hoax within the very article that announced it! All credit to DigitalSpy for exposing the unprofessional reporting of these hacks.
