What we learnt from Let's Kill Hitler

Here is our list of 'stuff' which we learnt from Let's Kill Hitler...

  • The BBC are excellent at condensing an entire half-series into one minute.
  • Mels has a great choice in car, maybe she was one of the looters of 2011?
  • Amelia has been letting Rory down since childhood - aww!
  • The Ninth Doctor was a fibber then, re. 'temporal grace'.
  • Jellyfish are evil!
  • Hitler saw the TARDIS, surely that's messing with time?
  • Rory punches Hitler.
  • 'Perfect Faint' should be an album title, with the first track being 'He just fainted.'
  • Amy named Melody after Melody... ontological paradox!
  • Gosh Mels/Melody/River can *scream*!
  • River was originally evil.
  • River and the Doctor like to play gun tricks with each other.
  • Who is Benjamin? The Doctor's real name?
  • River gave all her regeneration powers to the Doctor - how nice.
  • River knows how to fly the TARDIS because she is a 'child' of it, i.e. there was some TARDIS-ness which Amy's belly consumed when Melody was still a baby.
  • It was River meeting the Doctor for the first time which inspired the preluding events to Silence in the Library.
  • Melody is Mels, who regenerated into River.
  • There was a 'silence' poster outside Mels' headteacher's office! (Thanks to Combom)
  • Hitler is left in the closet.

Haha.. yeah, notice how the doctor puts his hands over his eyes for a moment after she stood like that lol

...having referred to River as Mrs Robinson in The Eleventh Hour.

Repeating the line, I assumed the Doctor said "Perfect Feint"...

You mean the Fourth Doctor was a fibber, not the Ninth.

Can someone explain the fibber business?

Great post!

I wasted the entire morning pondering the many lives of River Song, and have come up with a timeline (of sorts) here:

@Kendall

The Fourth Doctor said the TARDIS was in a state of temporal grace and guns wouldn't work there in "The Hand of Fear".

There's a Peter Davison episode where Nyssa makes the exact same comment as Mels an then the Dctor gets all flustery because he had to break the state of temporal grace for some reason.
