Journey's End
Episode Location: Earth, (Leeds?)
Aliens/Enemies: Daleks
New Characters: Captain Jack, Sarah-Jane, Martha, Rose, Mickey, Jackie
Gadgets Used: Unknown
Episode Objective: Unknown
The entire universe is in danger as the Daleks activate their masterplan. The Doctor is helpless, and even the Tardis faces destruction. The only hope lies with the Doctor's secret army of companions – but as they join forces to battle Davros himself, the prophecy declares that one of them will die.
A line that appears in episode 13 is:
"The strands are still drawing together"
And, as we know, its gonna be Daleks, Daleks, Daleks!!
Set Reports/Spoilers
(I believe that these reports fit into the finale episode, either because I've been told, or because it seems quite obvious. But REMEMBER, theres a chance I could be wrong)
Right, compared to ep12, there doesn't seem to be much filming going on outside, so its probably all a big showdown on the Crucible, or on an alien planet. The stolen planets must be important, the Doctor mentioned they were all perfectly balanced or something, so what are they being used for?
Who knows. Back to the Time Team.
So, where is everyone at this point?
Doctor, Donna, Rose, Jack - In the TARDIS
Sarah-Jane - About to be exterminated in her car
Gwen & Ianto - About to be exterminated in the Hub
Martha - At home with Project Indigo
Wilf & Sylvia - At home
Luke - At home
Regeneration?!
I don't know if the episode will start with the regeneration. They might try to hold it off slightly in order to build suspense.
Anyway, in terms of what I've heard, the regeneration will be a botched one:
Due to regeneration energy arching over the Doctor's hand, we are left with two Doctors running around: one Blue and one Brown suited.
If you've ever watched the Big Questions feature, you can quite clearly see Tennant in his blue suit and a different brown coat (although it does look similar) which sort of adds to the 2 Doctor's speculation.
Other rumors say that there might be something significantly different about one of the Doctors though... suggestions that have been presented are that: he only has one heart, he's not as nice, he later dies OR he later goes off with Rose into the sunset where they will be eternally happy
Of course the main question is, if this new Doctor comes from a hand, is he going to be nekked?
Auto Extermination
Well, the last time we saw Sarah-Jane, it looked like she was going to meet her fate at the wheel of her own car. However she simply can't as she's got to go and do another series of the Sarah-Jane Adventures after this.

So, someone turns up to save her. And who are these someones? Not Mickey and Jackie!?! Yes! Apparently Mickey and Jackie!
Mickey gets Sara-Jane out of the car while Jackie asks where her daughter is.
So what are they doing in this universe? Did they follow Rose through?
To the Crucible!
Jack, Rose, Donna and the Doctor are all inside the TARDIS... and theres a dead Dalek outside. But surely others will be on their way?
Well, yes, apparently they are. Three of them surround the TARDIS and state:
"Transferring TARDIS to the Crucible"

But, there are definitely some people who are aware of the TARDIS napping. Mickey, Jackie and Sarah-Jane appear on the scene shortly after the blue box disappears:
Wilf and Sylvia seem aware of this kidnapping as well:
Sylvia: ....Dad they killed him, they took him, they killed him.
Wilf: I bet Donna's still out there, I'm telling you.
Captive
Whether on purpose (to find the Doctor and Rose) or by accident, Sarah-Jane, Mickey and Jackie all get captured and taken to the crucible.
As Sarah-Jane says, "one step closer to the Doctor" so I'm assuming they're all looking for him since: a) He's probably the only one who can help, b) Where he is, Rose probably is as well.

Jack
Well, from this tiny (and bad quality) video you can see Jack falling on the floor and bathed in red light. So I'm going to assume that he's just stepped out of the TARDIS and been hit with a MAXIMUM EXTERMINATION!

From later pictures, we know that Rose is with Jack as well, but no sign of the Doctor or Donna.
Martha
And what's happening with Martha at this point? Well, she's not going to sit at home and miss about on the action.
FRANCINE: What are all those numbers?
MARTHA stands, starts hoisting the Indigo Project
MARTHA: Grid reference. Now Jack's explained the base code, I know how this teleport works. I think. But you stay indoors, theres no Daleks on this street, you should be alright, just keep quiet.

And from the looks of this picture, it seems as if she's in a house. So um, her house? Harriet Jone's house? Some random new house?

Whatever house it is, it looks like its got a high-tech, hand scanner thingy, thats either this "vault" thingy thats apparently important, or some way of getting Martha to the Crucible

Oh, and this character is simply listed as "German Woman" (something to do with the Osterhagen Key perhaps?) and alongside her photo came the caption "Will this woman stop Martha?"
Reuniting
Well, considering that most of them have now been captured and taken to the Crucible, they were bound to meet up sooner or later. The Time Team have finally united!
From a recent DWM about Jack & Sarah-Jane
"There was a point when Davros appeared and I grabbed her hand, and we're looking at each other, looking and thinking, this is so surreal! We were part of history that day. We all had to take in the moment, because it will probably never happen again. And our final scene together – oh, it was beautiful."

As well as this, a woman on a train was spotted editing a bullet-point list headed DWS4 on her laptop. Part of the document that referred to "a conversation between Mickey and Rose in Episode 13" and was about the time it took for something to recharge.
Osterhagen key
What the flip is it?!
Its apparently very relevant and plays a major part in the last two episodes.
Show Down
What happens here? Well... big showdown on the Crucible? Doctor vs Davros? Time Team vs Daleks? Utter utter madness methinks!

Is this the Earth? I think it might be... and I wonder what that strange circle is? Well, can we assume that whatever it is, the TARDIS has a nice trip down it?

And I think that Donna might still be inside, as the TARDIS falls and burns... again.
So where the flip is the Doctor? Where's he wandered off to? Has he gone to join the Time Team and take on Davros while Donna just stays behind? Is there actually two of him? Why did he leave his coat? Is that really important?
To many questions!
Oh, and I don't know what this is, but a few seconds later it blow up. Maybe something from the Crucible? Or part of the TARDIS?

So do we think that Donna has some hugely important task to do that will save the universe and stop the Daleks?
Farewell
Teej71 said he saw a farewell scene being filmed with Mickey, Jack and Martha all walking away (probably to go back to Torchwood) and leaving the Doctor alone.

But no Donna in that bit... or Rose... So this might actually happen last for all I know. And I hope he says goodbye to Sarah-Jane as well.
Beach/Bad Wolf Bay
Tomlou managed to get a few very confusing but highly highly interesting pictures... get your squeee-ness ready!
Rose Tyler on a beech?!(and yes, it was the same beach as the one in Doomsday, but that doesn't mean it'll be the same one in the episode. Still, seems quite likely doesn't it?)
And to prove that they were filming together and it wasn't just pick ups or anything, You can make both Tennant and Piper out in the centre:

AND heres something to really REALLY confuse you all...
Brown suit Doctor .............................. Blue suit Doctor!
Will this be a real goodbye? Must Rose go back to her universe? Will there be more heartbreaking and cheesy dialogue? I hope so... whatever happens, I hope so.
"You can never tell her!"
This report is from PMount (Thank you!) and takes place at The Nobles house, which was being set up during the day, and filmed at night.

According to the Who spies, there's not a lot to see filming-wise at first, just the setting up of the TARDIS and whatnot, but then things kick off and the Doctor, Donna and Wilf all appear

They rehearse and record a scene where Donna is lying on the ground. The Doctor is crouching down on the doorstep over Donna and shouts "Help me!" After this, Wilf appears in the doorway and shouts "Donna!" before he and the Doctor help her to her feet.
At this point, it is light outside but later on when the Doctor leaves, it is dark and raining. This sort of implies that the Doctor spends some amount of time inside the house.
When he finally does leave, theres no sign of Donna, just Wilf, and PMount wonderfully got quite a bit of dialogue from this bit:
[Rain is falling. the Doctor, on the porch, looks up at it]

DOCTOR: Get a lot of this. Atmospheric disruption... Bye, Wilfred.
[The Doctor moves off. Walking back to the TARDIS in the rain, but he turns back to Wilf and calls out]
DOCTOR: You can never tell her!
WILF: What about you? All those friends of yours....who have you got?...... Next time, at night, when the stars come out....I'll look up and I'll think of you....out there on your own...on her behalf....
[The DOCTOR sadly turns away, gets out key, opens the TARDIS, and goes inside]

So quite ominous and sad for an ending.. and doesn't it mean that the Doctor will be companionless for the Christmas special? There was no sign of Donna, Martha or Rose..
And heres a video that the wonderful Slittle took. It basically shows footage of everything that I've just mentioned, including a very wet DT!
Speculation
- Is Harriet Jones really dead? When the Daleks shot her, why did we see the screen go blank rather than seeing her die? Might she actually be working with the Daleks and got the Time Team together for some ultimate plan?
- Will there be more to the Doctor? We all know the rumors of 2 Doctor's running around... but with Caan's prophecy: "He is coming, the three-fold man, he dances in the lonely places... the Doctor is coming" Can we maybe assume there will be more to it?
- Can the fact that Sylvester Mccoy was seen dressed like this:
Perhaps mean we might get Doctor 7 returning?? The three-fold man...? - A new rumor (from a reliable source I might add) states that Donna is a Time Lady. They gave no more detail, so whether she becomes one, or is hiding via the chameleon arch is unknown. Maybe she's got something to do with the "three-fold man".
- The Doctor will have to make a horrific choice on which of his companions he will leave behind to their death. This was speculated to be Donna, but from scenes that have now been seen filmed, this may not be the case.
- According to Zavros, Rose Tyler dies at the end of the series. And it will be a "very Absolom Daak moment, like at the end of his first story."
And thanks to Tyrst75 I now know that Abslom's first story ends like this:
Transported to the planet Mazam which was under attack by the Daleks, he destroyed a Dalek task force single-handedly and rescued the Princess Taiyan, with whom he fell in love. Tragically, however, she was killed by a Dalek survivor that Daak had overlooked, leaving Daak grief-stricken and vowing to exterminate every Dalek in the galaxy.

«Oldest ‹Older 1 – 200 of 280 Newer› Newest»This finale looks fantastic! I really hope that they can pull it off and make it look amazing. The stuff we've seen has so much potential, and I can't wait to see it on the screen. I just hope that they don't kill Rose off. Why bother bringing her back if you're just going to kill her after a few episodes? I know Billie might have other things to do and all, and that's fine, but she still might want to return in a few years. Thanks for compiling all of these pictures, videos, and information!
I know what the Thals are, they are the original inhabitnats of Skaro. But may I ask, what are Dravhins?
"...of the TARDIS and what not, but then things kick off and the Doctor, Donna and Wilf all appear."
This is too exciting!
in the pic with blue suit doctor on beach it looks like he is standing next 2 mickey?
i reckon enemy D is davros because
1. davros is an enemy and begins with a d
2. more importantly RTD said he was bringing main monsters back one at a time in each series and as davros would obviosly be the main one in this series the pattern could go A daleks B cybermen C the master and D davros
a letter for each series......just a thought
as well can i just say this site is INREDIBLE whoever owns it i thought i was keeping in the loop with the rumour mill for sereis 4 but i was hugely mistaken whoever owns it keep up the good work
Thank you very much!
In light of new rumors and such, I think Davros in almost a definite.
"The strands are still drawing together": The strands of Donna's life, perhaps? I think I heard something like that on the Basic Info page.
I am just 10, and Jess's site is SO
awsome, oh yeah, I think that the whole Darvos thing is that Darvos is dying and that he's trying to make some brillent plan to rule the universe? And.... I don't get the whole Rose coming back thing. I mean,
if Rose gets sucked in to a parraral
world and it gets closed, why bring here back to this world? Oh, and there is no Doctor in the parraral world, the Doctor tells Rose that in Doomsday
I have a theory that would explain the whole blue suit brown suit o the beach thing . The Doctor splits into 2 Doctors , 1 goes with Rose to help look after the parrallel world , and the other stays in this universe . That way the dr and Rose get to be together but we dont have to watch them being all lovey-dovey . sorted .
With Rose coming back and Mickey, then wouldn't that mean that some off these Daleks or possibly Davros could be from the Parallel World????
i read somewhere that this ep would be 'feature-length' which they used to describe VotD, so would this be 70 minutes too? I can only hope...
Brilliant site Jess, keep up the good work!
the doctor being 'out of time' is probably the reason the world is in such a state, yknow, all those posters n stuff. ooh 'out of time thats a torchwood episode.
Remember the Bees are disappearing - that's "Bees Are Disappearing" - BAD?? half, maybe of "Badwolf". Twisted, I know but that may have some link to Rose's return and also to the Little Red Riding Hood mentioned in this last episode- love this site by the way, cant wait for the rest of the episodes
Ive heard on multiple occasions (including the localpapers) that...
"After a fatal accident, the Doctor splits into two entities in the series' blockbuster finale. This is set against an epic battle with a host of enemies, old and new".
So this means:
1) The "Doctor splits in two and one stays with Rose the other stays in the normal universe" theory could be right.
2) There is more than one enemy. But old and NEW?
OLD (THat we know of):
- Daleks
- Davros?
- Judoon
OLD (specualtion):
- Sontarans
New? I'm hoping for a Dalek/Cyberman, Dalek/Sontaran or Sontaran/Cyberman crossbreed thing. But proboably not LOL
heres something you should know i know who little red riding hood is if you think about it you could get it heres the first letter r
I don't think that the Rani is returning, personally. Even though RTD has been known to lie in interviews, he did say that there was no plan to do anything with the red-fingernailed hand and Saxon's ring, which has been speculated to be the hand of the Rani. I personally think that it is more likely that Davros is the big bad, especially with the half Dalek and all. Just my opinion.
Although, according to FoP, "She is returning" We all assumed that this was a reference to Rose, which is probably the best bet, but could it be alluding to the Rani? Someone else???
Also, I would like to see where Jamster has read that paragraph about the final episode. Kind of revealing, don't you think? But the "host of enemies" thing isn't much of a surprise. We get a host of companions, do we not???
Thanks, Jess. Great site.
the strange blonde peoples = children of time???
hiya i am now one of you ! yay !!
i think that maybe rose will become the bad wolf once more and maybe just maybe that is the way davros or donna die !!!
and [ this is to jess especially !!! ]
little red riding hood has been confirmed to bee ... SUSAN FOREMAN [ THE DOCTORS GRAND-DAUGHTER, JENNYS DAUGHTER !!!!! ]
AND THAT ADAM WILL RETURN AND CAROL ANNE FORD [ SUSAN. ]
HAS ACTUALLY BEEN SEEN FILMING !!!!! BBYYEE !!
it would be cool if davros (or someone else) refers to rose as Bad Wolf
"the strange blonde peoples = children of time???"
the strange blonde peoples = The Rhydian Fan Club
Davros undoes the Time War in this episode as revenge against the Daleks for betraying him (yet again) in the Unnamed Episode! Apparently they obey him in Turn Left at the End, then in the unnamed episode Caan decides that Davros has no more use now that the Dalek race has been recreated by a paradox: Davros made a paradox machine of his own and took the Daleks that fought in the Time War out of their time and into ours! The Time War Daleks are upgraded by Caan and Davros, and Caan labels Davros a threat to the Dalek race when he tries to rule over his creations again. You'd think Davros would learn by now that he can't trust his Daleks to obey him.
What if Davros is back because of the Medusa Cascade? It was said to be a time rift, what if it's the one opened by the Master to let the Toclafane come to earth? Being a time rift, it could just as easily spew Davros out in the future! Plus, it returning later could mean the Master goes through it before he dies, creating a paradox! And I heard the Children of Time are the new Daleks, created by humans after they fall out of Pete's world and our world into the splintering void. The "bees" disappearing are the people of Pete's world! Every time someone falls through the cracks in the void there, bees disappear here, and vice versa!
You took that idea from the Doctor Who Wiki! You can't trust anything about any episodes on there until they've aired.
Does anyone else that in this series final all the daleks and what not will return as well as the timelords and gallifrey?
I mean somewhere r.t.d said that with this series final he wanted to tie up everything he had something to do with in doctor who to sort of leave a clean slate for the new production team to start from.
Doesn't that sort of imply that he'll put nearly everything back to how it was before the start of series1, i.e the timewar finishes and gallifrey and the daleks are all back in full and proper?
dRAiN, I think that's exactly what Davies was planning to do: how else could the new team have a clean slate unless the Time War and all its effects were undone.
R.t.d has been trying to wrap up the series and there were rumours in 2006 that series 3 would be the last...
And now he has his chance in the most action filled finale ever including(spoilers:
1. Adam mitchell (remember him) as Davros
2. All the companions in series 1,2,3,4
3. A proper look at the timewar and gallifrey.
4. rose dieing ,looks happy, (i used to like her but trapped in a parallel world after 2 seasons now back its about time she died!
5. harriet jones (as the supreme dalek) in red.
6. A huge fight sequence making Doomsday seem like a stroll in the park.
7. the crucible finally revealed!
8. a way to kill of the doctor, daleks, cybermen and all the other villains in one "touch"
See ya tommorow
If those are just your thoughts, then how are they spoilers? And I sincerely doubt that Adam Mitchell would become/be Davros. Rose was seen filming for the Christmas special with the Cybermen, so she doesn't die, and that means that the Cybermen don't either so RTD doesn't kill them in one "touch", and the only person he can kill, as in never be in the series, except flashbacks, again would be Sarah Jane, Donna, or one of the many companions' parents because then the people taking over after him would have to dismiss any ideas for possible episodes with the killed villains.
Spoilers!
Oh sorry i forgot the "touch":
The touch will happen at the end of episode 13. The touch will happen with the crucible someone will activate it and it will destroy Gallifrey and skaro plus all the daleks, Davros, Harriet jones and unfortunately either Donna, Jack, Martha or Rose!
This would clear up the timewar and the daleks leaving only The cyber-men and cyber-wraiths for the Christmas special:
1. Cyber-wraiths are either earths version of cyber-men or are some sort of mondaision or other cyber-men!
The telemovies:
1. rose finding doctor
2. ice dragons and a new world for the doctor
3. The evil villain in the movies is revealed (parallel doctor, Rani or something else?)
Scorpio, how could you believe that Rose is going to die, and yet she will be in one of the telemovies??? CONFUSED!
If Billie is on holiday and possibly pregnant (Thats been in the press this week) then she won't be in the specials.
How can Adam be Davros ? Davros was a Kaled from Skaro, Adam is a human from Earth in 2012 and the finale is presumably set in 2008 or 2009 like all the other present-day stories. The blue light on Davros' head is an artificial eye to replace the ones he lost in the incident which crippled him.
So there ! :P ;)
Regards,
Z
Adam is Davros! Remember how in Parting of the Ways it said the Daleks installed the Jagrafess or whatever? Well, they say Dalek-like ambition in Adam and the Emperor tracked him through time to 2012. The Emperor was working to find a new body for Davros because his was so decomposed and junk, so the Emperor of the Daleks took Adam out of his proper time and merged him with Davros and his DNA, making him a Kaled/human hybrid. Because Davros is mutated from his injuries, Adam mutated so that the hole showing his brain became a functioning third eye and his legs turned into Dalek tentacles because Daleks are mutated Kaleds and Davros was mutating into a Dalek, so the mutation spread to Adam but stopped with the merged Kaled/human DNA. They had this cool prosthetic thing like they did for the Racnoss Queen that they put the actor in so that it looked like he had the 11 Dalek tentacles, and then they put that inside Davros's life support chair and put the original Davros face prosthetic over the prosthetic/computer animated third eye because Davros reveals the DNA merge to the Doctor after appearing normal to him and in a gloating moment of triumph. (Doctor's about to die from the Daleks so Davros abandons his disguise as himself to show the Doctor what will happen to the human race b/c Davros is going to turn them into things like him, put the hybrids in the Dalek casings, and make them the new Daleks with the new casings seen on that CBBC site or whatever). My friend recorded it on his phone while they were filming it on the Crucible set, it's really cool!
the daleks didnt install the jagrafess they installed your woman with all the wires and stuff
Scorpio, seriously, you have set up about fifty different theories of Rose's death, therefore it is obvious that you have no idea what you are talking about. You just think that she's going to die, so you come up with as many theories as possible to increase the likelihood that one of them is right. If you don't have any definite information, please don't pretend it's fact. It's rude and annoying. And it isn't spoilers. The only thing it spoils is the hearts of Rose's fans, and I find it disgusting that anyone would want to do such a thing. And learn to spell.
WELL SAID!
news just in ive herd rumours about it all week but i think its true apparenty episode 12 is called the oncoming storm i dont beleive it but hay also this is the information on episode 12.
Davros returns with the Children of Time, but who are they? The Medusa Cascade is opened and a new Time War begins.
sounds great you can find i on tardis.wikia.com
if the stands are still drawing together is mentioned perhaps it means litterally rather than figuratively. like ' well im not dead yet but the strands asreSTILL drawing together' sounds a bit dull
Hey guys..first time:)! Um just saying...does anyone else find it strange that (and i know they will have propbably been shot out of sequence but we can assume that both scenes will be near the end) Donna is one minute up and happy on a beach with the doctor and Rose and then lying crippled and apparently having lost her memory on her doorstep? Surely nothing bad could have happened after Rose has already left? Any theories?
the transmission in the poison sky- what i frose is trying to contact the doctor because of something terrible only he wiped her signal out himself and when she comes through its too late for her universe?
Question for jess now the remember the Doctor's Daughter would they bring her in this episoide?
Hello!
No, somehow I don't think that Jenny will be in this episode. Its crowded enough as it is!!
Although there could be some reference to her possibly?
But I dont think it bodes well for the Doctor's daughter.
at the end i think its a- you can never tell her- as in sylvia, perhaps how donna died?
My personal theory about the "you can never tell her" thing is this:
Someone, such as the Daleks or even the Master (I just know he's coming back. I feel it in my gut.) takes control of Donna either during the final 3-part arc or may have done so earlier. This has to do with the thing on her back.
So she's either been evil all along (which I doubt) or becomes bad during the 3-part arc. At the end of it, she lives and is freed from whoever's influence, but at a cost. She has no memory (either of the 3-part finale arc or even the entire season). The Doctor opts to leave her with her family and tell Wilfred that he can never tell her that she was used for evil, because that would devastate her.
About the upcoming "Other Doctor" for Christmas. I think that David Tennant regenerates at the end of the season ("Your song must end soon") but there's a parallel Doctor from Pete's World played by David Tennant. So when the Cybermen come back through for the special, the 11th Doctor (that Morissey guy) teams up with the parallel Doctor (Tennant) to stop them. And as Tennant's signed up for the specials, perhaps parallel Doctor is around for a while.
LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD:
Penelope Quintin (Harriet Jones)
A NON BLONDE:
One of the blonde haired people from the sets (Children of Time?)
ENEMY D:
Guess. Begins with D. Ends with S. With AVRO in the middle. Tough, isn't it?
I think 'A NON BLONDE' might be:
1. Badwolf (Physical Form)
2. John Simm/The Master (I mean, noone would guess with that codename. Besides, he has apparently been filming 2 weeks for Doctor Who. What for?)
3. Elizabeth Sladen/Sarah-Jane.
"Little Red Riding Hood" could mean Sarah Parish playing The Empress of the Racnoss who is red.
The enimies for the finale are Harriot Jones wanting revenge, Davros and the Daleks escaping from the Medusa Cascade and an alternate Empress of the Racnoss, the "Something" on Donna's back is a spider. P.S: Donna dies but is brought back to life by The Doctor who forgets him completely.
TO EXPLAIN THE WHOLE BLUE SUIT BUT BROWN SUIT DOCTOR THING ON THE BEACH:
seeing as theres a parrallel unvierse, wouldnt that mean theres paralell gallifrey? (where the timelords could still be alive) parralell skaro?(where davros still rules and there is red daleks) which could mean brownsuit doctor is our universe and blue suit doctor is parralell?
i dont know sort fo shooting it out there:)
the time lords and gallifrey exist in one point in ALL of space and time its sort of...out of space and time so destrying it in one universe would well destroy it. plus the doctor sed that when the time lords were here you could go through to the parallel uni but since theyve gone you can't so obvo there arent any over there because you cant travel between the universes (without ripping a hole)
Little Red Riding Hood could be Harriot Jones as a Red Supreme Dalek, and started her Political career as a small time politicion. P.S: Little Red Riding Hood was cloaked and secretive, so that fits.
This might be a bit of a stretch, but having just watched the Doctor's Daughter, is it possible 'A Non-Blonde' could be Jenny? The ending left the possibility for her to return some day, and while Jenny is blonde, Georgia Moffett has red/ginger hair naturally, or at least she did in Confidential. I know I'm probably clutching at straws, but it's just a thought...
I have a few random crackpot theories - they're probably going to be blown out of the water extremely quickly, but i just wanted to get them out there
1. what about Romana? Her most recent (relatively speaking) incarnation was played by Lalla Ward, who is blonde (Regeneration =A Non-Blonde??), and when she left the Doctor, she stayed in E-Space, an alternate universe (?) - what if this is the same universe as the one Rose is in, and she returns in a new incarnation when the two universes start spazzing again??
2. A variation of the Time-War-being-reversed theory - what if the Time War occurred at a certain point in time, which happens to be during the events of the finale? After all, in Season 1, Jack did say he felt the Time War when it occurred, AND it would explain the return of yet more Daleks?
3. I vote Rose somehow regains her Bad Wolf 'powers' XD
RTD previously said that Romana was President of Gallifrey during the Time War.
E-Space wasn't a parallel universe like the one Rose was in, it was a smaller seperate universe.
When in Series 1 did Jack say he felt the Time War occur ?
Jack didnt say he felt the time war occur, he said he thought it was just a legend, he knew about the daleks but thought the war was just a myth,
The shots of rose on the beach with the tardis is a *DEFINATE* flashback of rose when her and the doctor 'break up'. shes on the beach talking to his holographed body but then obviously somehow the doctor went back in the episode in his absense, to fix things for rose... somehow. :)
one other thing - question. about the time war - why couldnt the doctor just use the tardis and go back back back in time to the time war and make them win it..?
Its not definite that its a flashback to Doomsday, although it does seem likely. Reports are that Rose was wearing slightly different clothing.
The Doctor can't just go back and change the outcome of the Time War since its a fixed point in history (like Pete getting hit by a car, or Vesuvius erupting)
The TARDIS wasn't on the beach in 'Doomsday' so it can't be a flashback.
About the whole going back and changing the Time War thing: the Reapers from Father's Day would just come and devour all of them anyway. However, that doesn't mean that some one else can go back and change it, and in stopping them the Doctor creates a paradox of Gallifrey surviving, and the Time Lords could fix/stabilize/whatever that paradox.
yea, if timelords could fix paradoxes and bringing them back would cause a paradox, couldn't they just fix it?
In Little Red Riding Hood there is a 'Bad Wolf' so whoever it is, I guess is having a deeper connection to Rose...
and Donna has RED hair :P
About the two Doctors idea: There is only one TARDIS so if they split into two, would that mean that one of them has to go domestic? O.O
With a house... and doors... and carpets... YUCK!
there could be two tardises
1. the doctors part of the tardis so if the doctor splits in two so could the tardis
2. the doctor could easily grow another tardis maybe he can speed up the process (tardises are grown)
by the way everyone knows donnas in the finale so whats the point in making it a secret. i think its probably harriet jones though :D
I don't think it's that easy to grow a new TARDIS. I think you need Gallifreyan ground or something for that.
but captain jack is growing a tardis in his office in torchwood but they take something like 300 years to grow. it looks like a bit of coral
The pre-credits sequence will probable be...
Scene from Doomsday. Doc is about to say I love you, but he dissappears. Rose runs and hugs Jackie, then...
The TARDIS appears and out steps TWO DOCTORS!
Eeeeeeeeeooooooooowwww....
[cue awesome titles]
What do you call two TARDIS?
TARDISes?
TARDI?
Hey really what do you call two tardises? Jess maybe you could dig some junk on that?
Well I personally like TARDI, just because it sounds brilliant, but since the name "TARDIS" is an acronym (and stands for "time and relative dimension in space) then the plural would have to be TARDISes otherwise it would change the meaning.
Does that make sense?
Thanks for that clearing it out!
Thanks for that!
But I still love TARDI. Just sound so funny!
great site
u know when rose is on the beach.
isn't that bad wolf bay (or beach)?????
I went to the exhibition in Cardiff and the Juddon exhibit was gone with a message saying.
"The Judoon will be back soon WITH AN UPGRADE as it is now being filmed by the BBC"
Cool eh- What is this "Upgrade?"
They must appear with something new in the finale or there in the 2009 specials which aren't filming until January
about davros coming back: could tht thing in the master's episode, the floating head in the case that was rly the little kid grwn up, hve been a hint that davros ws cming back?
So, Donna loses her memory or sommit like that and forgets all about the Doctor? That really sucks, I like Donna, I think she's great.
Doctor, Donna, Captain Jack, Sarah-Jane, Martha, Rose, Mickey, Jackie
all back, and against the Dalek's, that'll be awesome (if it is the Dalek's).
The pics of Rose, Doc, Donna on the beach, it could be the same beach from series 2, Bad Wolf Bay. If that's where the gap came out the first time, why not the second too?
my idea is that
jack in the past visited rose and spoke or touched her and that paradoxed time deleting her killing the doctor ( and the bees ! lol) leting the daleks and davros live but donna uses the tardis key to revive the tardis doctor and rose ect then a big war and all goes back to how it was exept donna has no memorie of past
In LOTTL Jack says he visited Rose a few times as she was growing up, so maybe he touched her and the Doctor was erased from time and the Daleks got through from the void
i8 dont think that picture is davros if you look a the lighter picture you can see 2 metal poles coming up through the base and what looks like a normal dalek head placed ontop. could it be harriet?
im pretty sure it is davros because on a doctor who news page it has all bits of information about the last episodes and quotes from rose and it sais i quote ''It's the end of the series and Davros is back! Find out what happened when the Time Team watched 1985’s Revelation of the Daleks.'' you can find all this on http://www.gallifreyone.com/news.php just so you no im not making it up
if people dont think davros is coming back and want to make everybody else think the same could you please keep it to yourself because there are peolpe beleive it or not who want to beleive davros is back and are getting pretty excited about it ok thank you.
do you know the episode doomsday jakie wishes her grandad into thinking his actually there but he isnt. thats what your doing with davros wishing into existance. Everybody wants him to come back but he still might not
wishing davros into existance wot is this harry potter.
I can't hep but think that this whole children of time' thing has been somewhat overlooked. I think it has been mentioned slightly with the reutn of Jenny and the impending implication of a relationship between the Doctor and River Song.
I think that the children of time might be the actual main villains, and that Davros is being used as a red herring but will actually be a minor villain.
how can u say davros could a minor villain he is, in my opinion, one of the best villains dr who has created!
also I have just listened to the doctors daughter podcast and David T just said something about episode 13 and jenny!
two words for whoever insulted harry potter and one of them is "off"
If you haven't yet, you should take a look at this year's Christmas Special song on Jess' Planet Gallifrey TV. The songs from previous seasons have all had spoilers of a very vague variety...and they've all been related to Rose as the Doctor's "great love" or whatever. If that trend continues with this season, then I think she probably won't die and they might actually get some kind of resolution - though I'm sure it will be wibbley-wobbley and timey-wimey. The only way I can see them somehow "being together" while still preserving narrative logic and giving the fabled "clean slate" to Moffat for season 5 is if we do get two doctors and only one of them gets to live happily ever after.
I like the idea of history being rewritten and Gallifrey coming back, so that there's a Doctor who's been on Gallifrey the whole time and Doctors 9 and 10 become Doctors from a sort of "branched line" of history that are nonetheless preserved in existence despite history changing, possibly due to Bad Wolf "keeping him safe."
Total speculation, of course, but fun. I got started thinking about it because this episode is called "Journey's End," and the Christmas Special song also makes reference to his journey ending...but under the current circumstances, there's no way the Doctor's journey can ever end. He's the Doctor, for crying out loud.
"Silence in the Library" tomorrow, hooray! Can't wait to see what the deal is with River Song and the darkness.
journey's end. what journey?
The doctor has had a journey for since the series was made. And the companions have a jouney with him.
People are saying the doctor in the brown suit doctor is a double of blue suit doctor, he might send himself (a duplicate) from where he is trapped but he only has one heart, so the doctor falling in Episode 12 could be the duplicate dying and at the beginning of Journey's End could be the real doctor coming back.
seeing as birth/new life seems to be a fit of a theme this series then the doctor being cloned would make sense
Apparently Donna gets hit by a Van and loses her memory.
In the next season it revolvs around the doctors lonliness.
I also heard their will be a freak explosion and the dr willbe split in two. The last episode is truly gonna be gobsmcking incredible indescribable. It will wipe out everything Russel T. Davies planned from scratch so the new writer Stephen Moffat will have a new fresh clean start for the doctor. Also the dr wont re-generate till the start of the new season in 2010,but that still being planned.
The TBA episode which is after Turn Left is called War on Skaro I think. What im really eager 2 know is what the daleks want with all those planets they want. In the new trailer it shows Wilf saying "the stars are going out" Probably Daleks taking out planets one by one. Earth is probably next on their list and rose knows about it so somehow she gets to proper earth with a big gun (shes part of Torchwood in the paralell world).
Why would it be called 'War On Skaro' when it's set in Leeds on Earth ?
The name War on Skaro was a prank pulled off by some people on the Digital Spy forums. Its highly doubtful that the episode will be called this...
I think at the moment, the top runner for the title is "The Stolen Earth" which fits into story arcs.
well, this is probably a long shot but...
in the book "the stealers of dreams" by Steve Lyons on page 114 it says this.. ( All I have done is made 2 words bold nothing else!!)
'Our world,' she said. 'It's name. I did hear something. It was a long time ago. Some of the girls at school, they said it was called- I mean it used to be called - Journey's End.'
JOURNEY'S END!! This book was published in 2005 and features the doctor as played by christopher ecclestone and rose Tyler as played by billie piper.
This would be a huge coincidence if it is not linked. Just thought I'd mention it seeingas no one elsehas picked this up.
-ECC
This could just be a coincidence but it would be a huge
Omg THis has made me wll excited
I think "Bad wolf"is gonna have something to do with it.Like, the Doc didn't absorb all the time vortex out of Rose. Then she saves the universe (or something)and kills herself in the process. As much as I like Rose don't you think she WOULD go wiv the Doctor if she had the chance??Thanx 4 reading this :)
I agree Rose would go wiv the doctor at the first oppotunity and speculation is strong that she is going to die. Billie Piper herself said the finale will make you cry. Plus RTD said he had planned her return the moment she left so maybe this is her way of saying goodbye for real but in an even bigger way than last time. I hope not though!.
That's what has been troubling me, too, but I really hope she doesn't die. We know Donna is leaving, and maybe that's what will make you cry. The Doctor waking up and Rose had never really returned will make you cry. Someone using a clone of Rose to get close to the Doctor would make you cry. There are so many things that could make someone cry, not just her dying. I'm hoping for the things that don't include her death...
Not to mention the fact that RTD said that he wouldn't kill a major companion (he has lied before, but hopefully not about something this important), and, judging by the poll on this website and many others that I've found, Rose is the most popular companion of the new series. You'd like to think that the makers of the show would notice that everyone loves Rose so much, and that they would realize that killing her would ruin the show for many people. Most TV makers must consider their audiences...
Really I could care less about donna then I do with Rose cause Rose is better at being a conpanion.
Gah, the general Rose love that seems to hover around Doctor Who is starting to annoy me. She was ace yes, but she wasn't any better than Donna or Martha have been.
Lets not get into the whole companion debate, it could last weeks! People have their own personal favorites and thats fine, there isn't a "she's better than she was". I personally think Donna is fantastic, but Rose and Martha had their merits as well
Sorry, I didn't mean to start a fight or anything, but she does seem to be fairly popular. Most television shows don't get rid of what the public likes... I have nothing against the other companions, I just like Rose best...:)
I think at the end of this episode Davros sacrifices himself to stop the time war, after all, he has helped the doctor before. Two random guesses on Davros.
1.Davros is from the parallel world!
2.Davros is Caan upgraded!
When has Davros helped the Doctor before? And if the answer is in any of the books, audio-adventures, or comics, then the answer is null-and-void because it has never been confirmed that any of them are "canon" to the Doctor Who Universe.
How can Davros be Dalek Caan upgraded ? Davros created the Daleks ! RTD has also said that he would not make any references to book or audio spin-offs because of something to do with the BBc charter or something.
In the one with D.T wearing a blue and brown suit, maybe he came in his brown suit and justed changed into his blue onw for that scene?
For anyone who says Adam is Davros or anything like that, if you study the picture with the Dalek coming from the darkness (The lighter version not normal) There is another blue light apart from the eye. Davros had a control panel that had lights on it. Also, the bottom of the Dalek/Davros is gold, but Davros normally doesn't have a gold bottom. Indicating a new thing? I've heard about harriet jones becoming a Dalek, that might be true, The top half can be red and the bottom gold.
Another few little guesses...
-Jay-Russell
if you look carefully it ispossible tht the picture in the shadows is silver and black and is only th lighting makin it look gold
I just thought of something. Apparently in this episode, the Doctor leaves Donna with Wilf, telling him not to tell her something. Well what if the thing she is not to be told is what happens in Turn Left? That she caused the Doctor to disappear from time and cause enough of a disturbance to let the Daleks and Davros to take over. Could explain a lot.
The arc i thought of is "Connect" because
Partners in crime:The adipose were connected to their hosts. The pill necklace was connected to the host.
Fires in Pompei:Tne pyrovillians were rocks connected by lavaand te escape pod was connected to the volcanoe.
Planet of the ood:The ood has brains connected to their "mouths" and the big brain was connected to thier hive mind
Sontaran 2 part:The clone had a "umbilical cord" connected to her neck and the ATMOS was connected to cars.
TDD:The hath had tubbes connected to them.
TUATW:The necklace was connected to the wasp,Christie and her books.
Vashta 2 part:The Vashta Nerada was swarms connected to together to use the suit.
Midnight:The alien was connected to Sky's body/spirit.
Turn left:The thing connected to Donna's back
The Stolen Earth/Jouney's End:????
I realised something after I watched last of the time lords earlier. RTD said the arc or theme or whatever we're calling it this time, he said it was something the master said. The master talked about the medusa cascade which has been popping up alot recently like in Fires of Pompai when Evelina said your name burns in the medusa cascade then in midnight the doctor said medusa cascade to Sky and I can't remember the other times it was mentioned but I just thought it might be important.
I believe that the darleks turn on davros, like in the classic series.
I'm confused here. Like me, you're obviously all great fans, so why are you all spending your time trying to find out what happens before you all see it. Can't you all just sit back and enjoy it as it happens. I fail to see what enjoyment you get from the program if you already know what is going to happen. Stop trying to be Poirot and just let the magic unfold on the screen.
Oh and by the way... For the record I already know what happens. Bonnie Langford comes back and the Doctor beats her to death with a bit of wood.
No no,something that could happenwas that davros tries to make new different daleks or make a better version of the daleks(Imperials=old series Red=new series)And Caan tries to murder him, gets caught with loyaldaleks,Davros hold him captive.
Could happen,you never know
this isto the person who sidabout how we get enoymentif w aleady know what happen blah blah blah if you dont want to know how comes your on the site looking about and leaving comments people ave the right to express there opinions that mihte be why its a blog who knows
What if the adipose from 'partners in crime' are new creatures that are going to be put into dalek casing. Skaro was more than likely the breeding planet of the daleks, and that was lost in the time war, so it would fit with what miss foster said about the breeding planet being destroyed.
thats not how it works...
"this isto the person who sidabout how we get enoymentif w aleady know what happen blah blah blah if you dont want to know how comes your on the site looking about and leaving comments people ave the right to express there opinions that mihte be why its a blog who knows"
Surely by your own argument, I'm entitled to my own opinion too. And if you must know, I came on this site to get some pictures from series one for my son.
Please let's not get into a fight about this. Mr Chips has every right to express his opinion just as we do, and he does bring up a good point, I mean, I can see where he's coming from at least. However, Mr Chips, (and I speak only for myself, not any of the other posters here) I find part of the joy of spoiling the end is not having all the information, and then trying to imagine what the finished puzzle will look like with only half the pieces, so to speak. Plus, knowing something or about something and actually seeing it are two very different things.
I AM 95% SURE ABOUT THIS!!!
A NON BLONDE IS AN ANAGRAM OF DONNA NOBLE!!!
I HOPE THAT HELPS!!!
-JAY-RUSSELL
Remember when the doctor regenorated from the 9th to 10th doctor and he asked rose if he was ginger. And he said he would love to be ginger coz he hasnt been. that could be a clue to the next regenoration.
Also when the master said he had that calling to war. He was a bit premature, the calling to war could be against the darleks. either end of this series or in specials next year.
Well, I read spoilers because I don't deal well with suspense and can't help myself. :) Also, I am isolated in my Who fandom so I come here to share it and speculate with other people. Glad you're all here!
Following on from my last comment, the anagram of A Non Blonde is Donna Noble, Little red riding hood is in a story with the Big Bad Wolf, which we all know, bad wolf is rose, And Enemy D is Davros because D = Davros and like...
He's an enemy
- Jay-Russell
If we know the doctors brown suit gets very wet at one stage, doesn't it make sense that he just changes his clothes?
He changes his suit several times in this series so y r ppl makin a big deal sayin he gets split he changes his clothes so wot lol! but that wud be gurd 2 see lyk 2 doctors!
Methinks people are making a big deal about the 2 suits as its highly speculated (from very good sources I may add) that there will be a botched regeneration resulting in character split/swaps.
Of course, nothing could come of it, but from what I've heard, we best not rule it out.
It said in the synposis for this episode that one of the companions dies according to the prophecy
lets try to work it out who dies....
Cpt.Jack-No because he can never die
Donna-Might be....
Martha-No because she is joining torchwood
Rose-Might be....
Sarah Jane-Probably not because of the sarah Jane adventures
Jackie-Might be......
Mickey-Might be.(there are rumours he is joining torchwood)
Might be wrong
As I've said before, it's still possible that nobody dies. Especially since RTD wanted to leave a clean slate. Killing a character makes it much harder to bring back. But anything is possible. Perhaps the way in which he kills the character makes it easy to resurrect them.
WilliamHarkness
I think you have a point in your post. I'm not sure how it would work because, I haven't got my head around it yet, but! RTD has said that there is a big twist in the storyline; bigger than anything else in the whole show.
Wouldn't it be mind-blowing if there have been two Doctor's all along; and we never noticed?
Going back to the Two Doctors theory, I just watched Smith and Jones. When the Doc says, ‘Like that.’ And takes off his tie, he’s wearing the brown suit. When he appears dressed at the hospital, he’s wearing his blue suit.
Also, Martha tells the bed-ridden Doctor that it wasn’t very clever to be running about outside. He replies that it wasn’t him, he had been in bed and the nurses could verify it. At the time, I just thought that he was lying to her, but...?
A quick question. Can anyone explain how he ‘proved’ that he could travel in time, by going back for a tie that was stuffed in his pocket? I've never understood that.
I forget which episode it came with but on the official Who site there's a video where the costume woman explains that every episode they pick either the blue or brown suit depending on the mood of the episode, the story requirements regarding period detail and so on. so for midnight he wore blue and for TUATW he wore brown. it's whichever suit best fits the setting and situation. that's all.
I bet one Doctor ends up with Rose in 'Pete's Universe' (ah sooo sweet...I may vomit) and the other one stays in this universe.
As it seems the 2 suits represent 'moods' you can bet that blue suit Doctor will depressed and dark (and lots of other thing begining with 'D') and brown suit doctor will be manic etc...
Val, about your not understanding the Doctor and his tie in Smith and Jones:
He took it off and said "Like this" to Martha to prove to her future self that he was a time-traveler.
When Martha got to the hospital and saw him, he had not done it yet, and she said that it wasn't very clever of him or whatever. He had no idea what he was talking about because it hadn't happened for him yet.
In the end when he proves the TARDIS is a time machine, he dematerializes and then rematerializes for a second. While the Doctor was gone, he was going to Martha in her past and taking off his tie to prove to her in the present that he was a time-traveler.
That would be an emotional rollercoaster. Has anyone else noticed that Doc is getting more and more emotional as this series progresses? River tells him he has to be less emotional, and he got uncharacteristically angry in Midnight ("BECAUSE I'M CLEVER" - my favourite line of the series so far coupled with his look afterwards).
Ahhh... Now I understand why he had the brown suite and then the blue.I'm such a dolt!
Thanks very much for taking the time to explain it to me Sam :-)
You're very welcome Val, and you are not a dolt. I didn't get it the first time I saw it until my dad explained it to me.
maybe he turnns caans shelll into his new chair? that would explain the bblack/gold change
if the prophecy said one companion shall die lets be logical.Filming for sarah jane adventures is underway so its not her.there is a torchwood serie 3 so its not jack.martha is in torchwood season 3 so its not her,nor the doctor, that leaves rose, mickey, jackie ad donna.they would not kill off rose as she is a strong character. so its possibly mickey or jackie but probably donna.
the finalie looks great can't wait
Yes but remeber in Ep 6 that River Song died? Well that could be the person they were speaking of.
Spoilers
Okay so so what we know is:
1.Davros is back
2.The red dalek is the emperor
3.Harriet jones will work with the daleks to get back at the doctor!
4.The judoon return with the shadow proclamation
5.one of the members of the shadow proclamation is a blond woman
The returning companions are:
Rose tyler
Mickie smith
Jackie tyler (Why is she here?)
Captain jack harkness (yes)
Sarah jane smith
Martha jones
Donna noble
Clyder langer
Luke smith
Maria jackson
Gwen cooper
Ianto jones (Related to martha?)
Returning monsters/villains in final three episodes:
1. Judoon
2. Daleks
3. Davros
4. Adipose
5. Sontarans (might only be mentioned)
6. Harriet jones
7. Red dalek (might be Harriet jones)
Main plot
War has broken out as the daleks and davros start bombarding earth, The doctors companions make a last desperate attempt to save the earth.
But as the deadly shadow proclamation make an appearance and the earth is transported to another dimension. can the doctor save everyone?
As the episode progresses every doctor who and spin off character makes an appearance in what has to be the largest fight in doctor who history!
As the future is foretold the doctor relives past experiences and finds out that he has to sacrifice someone!
Who cant die?
With this in mind i will look at who can and cannot die in doctor who.
Martha jones (joins torchwood)
Mickie smith (joins torchwood)
Jack harkness (leads torchwood)
Sarah jane smith (Returns to SJA)
Maria Jackson (Returns to SJA)
Luke Smith (Returns to SJA)
Clyde Langer (Returns to SJA)
Rose tyler (Gets to star in three 2009 films!)
That leaves out Donna noble!
By the looks of the series Donna will either be killed or loose her memory (hopefully the first option)
Thats the end of that spoiler except for this last little one!
Davros is killed by a Dalek (SHOCKS)
Question for Scorp Why would Luke be there it wouls be only Sarah Jane not the whole crod cause the doctor doesn't even know that he exsits!
Scorpio, Ianto Jones is from Torchwood, and he;s not related to Martha as far as we know.
the doctor crouches over donna...
In turn left, donna dies when being hit by the van. Maybe they end the finale with donna's death but the doctor with her instead???
Also, apparently one of the companions are supposed to be sacrifised and the other ones get amnesiared(sp) and forget the doctor.
doctor: you can never tell her(Donna)
Maybe she isn't surrendered but doesnt rememnber the doctor???
Just guessing!!
I wonder if one of the Red Dalek's lines will be "Harriet Jones, Supreme Dalek for Skaro North !"
Seriously, is it just me or is it a bit odd that RTD announced that a companion would die BEFORE the episode aired? You'd think he'd want to completely shock the audience...
Next you'll be asking why RTD bothered to reveal Davros in the confidential, and the trailer, and the synopsis for Journey's End: because we don't know everything! One of the companions dies, that gets us all worked up and ready to watch! Why reveal the big bad? Because then we get paranoid and think there's another big bad and so watch! All of it is just to get us to watch Doctor Who! Though I will admit that it's working very well for RTD.
Thought occurs...
It has been said that the Doctor finally gets to finish his sentance from the end of "Doomsday".
Maybe the Brown-suit Doctor is just a pick-up for when he faded away at the end of Doomsday?
The scene would run like this:
1. Brown-suit Doctor's hologram says "Rose Tyler..." and then fades away.
2. Rose runs crying to Jackie.
3. The TARDIS materialises in the same place that the Brown Doctor's hologram had just vanished from.
4. Blue-suit Doctor emerges, runs to Rose, & she to him.
5. Blue-suit Doctor finishes his sentance, finally saying whatever he was going to before he got cut off.
We've all got our own guesses as to what that could be. My money's on: "Sorry, love. I'm gay for Harry Saxon..." (Just kidding!)
I'm not saying there definitely won't be two Doctors, this just seems to make sense to me...
As an aside; I do hope that Maria is in this episode, as she's always struck me as a strong, central caracter in the SJA. Even more so than Sarah-Jane herself, in fact...
Also I think she's pretty hawt, and before anyone calls me a pervert; the character of Maria Jackson may only be 14, but Yasmin Paige is 17 this month & I'm only in my early twenties, so I don't think it's that bad...
But the Doctor is wearing his brown suit throughout the finale, and he wearing it on whats speculated to be a later scene.
He could of course just put the blue suit on for that one moment, but why? Why would he? Its not like the fans wont understand whats going on...
Meh, we shall see!
Does the Doctor ever change his suit?
Hear me out...
We know from The Runaway Bride that the Doctor's clothes have dimensionally transcendental (bigger on the inside) pockets.
Might his clothes not also have (functional) chamelionic proporties.
It has been stated by the wardrobe department that the choice of brown or blue is determined by the tone of the episode.
Most people are familiar with "mood rings", maybe the Doctor has a "mood suit"?
The beach is the same one they filmed at before - 'Bad Wolf Bay'. If anyone is interested, it is Southerdown Beach, in Glamorgan, and is one of the most beautiful places ever!
I was there last week and saw some set pictures. I was actually quite annoyed they didn't have a spoiler warning on the book, but then I love spoilers so I didn't really care!
I have a bit of a theory about the whole botched regenration thing going on... since there appear to be two doctor's on the beach, would it be crazy to assume that one of them stays? one goes back to take donna home while the other stays behind? just a theory, bit daft I know...
maybe one doctor is a hologram?
Food for thought, are the Master and the Rani using Davros and the Daleks to restore Gallifrey? That actually seems to be the underlying story from all the rumors. It would also seem the "Children of Time" are bringing back Gallifrey for their own nefarious purposes.
The Red Dalek is the Dalek Supreme now confirmed by RTD on Blue Peter earlier today and the Radio Time also keep mentioning that it is the Dalek Supreme not the new Dalek Emperor.
Aliens/Enemies: Davros and the Daleks
Should be better ;)
Either way this episode looks OMG, probably better than LotTL!!
What if the Dalek Emperor/Supreme (they're basically the same thing) is the Dalek Emperor from Parting of the Ways?
He was one of my favourite enemies, :P
Errrr, who's to say the 2nd Doctor is the one from Rose's parallel universe? Would certainly explain how two of them are running about.
what does RTD mean???
RTD means Russel T Davies :)
If a duplicate Doctor does go off with Rose, do I get to do a metaphorical told-you-so dance?
Why would you get to do a told-you-so dance?
HARRIET JONES AINT DEAD, WHEN THE DALEKS WENT EXTERMINATE THEY MOVED THEIR GUNS AWAY FROM HARRIET TOWARDS THE COMPUTER. SHE AINT DEAD.
BLACK HAIRED DOCTOR WITH BLUE SUIT NEXT WEEK. CAAN REMINDS ME OF A LEPRICORN.
i dont think i would be happy with two doctors running around
to much of a stupid idea for me
anyway looks to be a goood episode
im a extreme dr who fan. ive been looking everywhere for hints on the last episode all morning. ive seen this page and wikipedia that have the most reliable content on then. but ive looked up that non of the companions die. i found this on wikipedia today http://tardis.wikia.com/wiki/Journey%27s_End
i cant wait for the last episode next week. ill be excited all week. im happy that i found out that the doctor dont regenerate yet. but i saw that the doctor turns into two of him n they both have one heart. wouldnt 1 heart be a bit dodgy like. i dont know that much but i thought that the two hearts help him regenerate and if he aint got both of them how can he do that next series.....? anyone want to chat just add my msn or email me please greenday_rocks2005@hotmail.com im a big discusser of doctor who :)
ok I know there is this idea that the doctor splits into 2 and stays the same body (david tennant) but what if he does regenerate into a new look and he just meets up with his past incarnation to help out, there are only what like 3 or 4 specials next year, they could all be one big story and david tennents doctor just meets up with the new doctor to help out, thats why theres 2 doctors in the christmas special, well that 'other doctor' maybe that is the new doctor and he meets davids doctor, any ideas on it, maybe summit sorta the same as this or a bit different, i only just thought most of this as typing so im trying to get all my current thoughts in
its gona be insane......i cant wait lol
"Osterhagen KEY"?
Time War "Time LOCKED"?
Probably just another Red Herring...
Not a red herring, I don't think:
osterhagen = anagram of 'Earth's gone"??????????????
If it unlocks time, that would explain why everyone shouted at Martha she couldn't use it (apart fromthe UNIT guy, and we know they make bad decisions)....
I bet Donna dies.
MarthaJonesFan
There's a new trailer for Journey's End on the Doctor who website! It's amazing. Download onto your blog pleeease!
"Osterhagen KEY"?
Time War "Time LOCKED"?
very clever! because what do keys do to locks.......?
The daleks master plan is to destroy reality itself! It said in Journeys End trailer
Personally I don't thinks there will be two doctors
The following is all speculation, written as an addendum to a post I displayed not too long ago on this site:
His regeneration is botched. He splits into two "10th incarnation" Doctors. One leaves [as a precautionary measure for the others failure] and one stays. The one that stays undergoes a complete regeneration and won't be seen until the 2009 Christmas Special [thus allowing for a savory cliffhanger until the 2008 special].
The"un-regenerated" 10th Doctor will appear in the 2008 Specials, help clear up why he was involved in certain missions [and the "other suit colored Doctor" wasn't] and then die unexpectedly. Thus leaving a comfortable opening for the 11th Doctor in the 2010 season.
OK, OK, OK. It's speculation. It's just my wacky deductions. But what else can I do at 4:25am whilst I wait for Saturday? Sleep?? Poppycock!!!!!
Of course the main question is, if this new Doctor comes from a hand, is he going to be nekked?
If he is, heaven help him with Captian Jack around!!!!!
@Anonyomus
Have a dance if you want. None of us will stop you.
you know there is a prophecy about a companions death, well what about something happening to the TARDIS????
Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!
I am so glad David isn't leaving! In my opinion he is the best doctor who ever! Although (with recent speculation) the odds were on James Nesbit and John Simm.
Now to have James Nesbit as a doctor would be absalolutly FANTASTIC but with the evidence given thats obviously not going to happen.
John Simm however played the Master in series 3. To have him as the Doctor would put a marvellous twist on the story.
But with the evidence given ITS NOT GOING TO HAPPEN!
I couldn't believe it when David began "regenerating" on episode 12. They gave us no notice my jaw practically dropped to the floor. Now i first began getting curious because when Christopher Eccleson(9th doctor) announced he was leaving it was on the papers, magazines,TV Guides everything. Now the producers/directors may have wanted to keep it a secret but why let it happen so sudden? David denied leaving the show in many interviews and i hope he stays for a while to come.
Comment on what you think about it.
dalek caan said summit about the most faithful companion going to die, well Rose is very faithful, but what about Donna, somewhere I read that Donna could be Romana, and that she has a Fob watch like the doctor had, and there has always been characters in this series mistaking donna and the doctor for a couple, well the 4th doctor and Romana were always very friendly, holding hands and stuff, and in real life tom baker and lalla ward were married, maybe donna is romana, and she comes back as romana and gets killed, any thoughts

That would explain the "death" the conpainoin. Also if she had one then why did she had a family? And why hadn't we seen the Fob watch! that "donna" would have.
You know there is a prophecy that the most faithful companion will die, has anyone thought about the TARDIS????
Dalek Caan said that the most faithful companion will die. So has anyone thought about the TARDIS????
People are saying that the prophecy might refer to the TARDIS. Makes sense as in Confidential RTD said that the TARDIS will blow up at some point.
Also, Jackie was meant to be pregnant at the end of Doomsday. Where is the baby? And Pete? Unless he is looking after him/her.
Spoilers
I don't have long RTD is coming with his dalek army to attack me (Boom)
Ive hidden under a desk with the script and here it is:
The doctor is regenerating and just as he is regenerating he either falls or is pushed onto the ground and touches the jar which smashes.
The hands touch and then the light engulfs the other hand. The doctor is not seen then for most of the episode with it flipping back to companions.
Sarah jane is saved from her car by Jackie with Mickie smith killing the dalek in torchwood base.
Unit is fully taken over and the daleks launch an attack on the companions houses and capture Donna`s family and Luke.
Meanwhile rose companions are in the tardis and from off screen they hear a noise (The doctor is still not seen and the severed hand on the floor has disappeared)
The daleks are outside the tardis and surround it activating an emergency temporal shift transporting it to the crucible.
Mickie, Jackie and Sarah Jane hear news of their friends and see the tardis disappear. They then are captured after a chase with the daleks.
The Daleks capture them and take them to the crucible.
Meanwhile in the tardis the doctors regeneration is complete two shadows are seen by rose and then the doctor stands up.He is still in his tenth body and is looking puzzled.
Then another Tenth doctor stands up. Everything is explained in a doctor type double speak. And they come up with a plan.
On the cruible Sarah Jane meets rose who teleports their and they are about to fight their way out when the New dalek attacks.
Eventually rose, Mickie, Sarah and rose defeat the Red dalek supreme but run into dalek Caan who says "No you all survive, Silly other companion dies" (or something like that)
The Two doctors work they way through the cruible as Captain jack meets a dalek and takes great pleasure in dieing over and over again in front of it eventually he takes out a gun walks up and blasts it (with the gun he used when he first died)
Donna has hidden the tardis (After flying it in a previous episode) and is waiting for the next part of the plan.
Rose realizes that Donna will die but as she is about to teleport back she is captured by Davros who uses his powers to disable the teleport. The companions are captured and Jack is made older somehow (Turning slightly more boe like)
The doctor appears and is captured. But as davros has him searched and finds no sonic screwdriver the real doctor comes behind him and uses davros as a shield.
The daleks go mad with the prospect of two doctors and as the cruicible is fully charged martha jones teleports on board activating the Osterhagen Key. (The key is a Armageddon virus wipes out computer programs)
The key doesn't do anything as davros laughs the crucible activates as the place shakes rose attacks davros. Stealing the transporter and they all teleport back to earth. Including the doctor.
In a final attempt to save the earth donna flys the tardis into the front of the crucible. Destroying it and the tardis.
On earth the doctor watches as the crucible disappears and the planets stay in their places he hears a scream the last sound of the tardis as it is destroyed.
I will not reveal the ending as RTD`s army is outside "EXTERMINATE"
Argh that hurt!
See ya all soon!
it just hit me! Wibbly Wobbly Timey Wimey! The Doctor could, after the events of the finale, go back to tell rose about how to cross worlds so that she can in her present cross over, stop Donna's beetle world, save them from the Daleks etc. Maybe he gave her something needed to save him from regenerating
What about Harriet Jones, though? She's clearly not dead yet - watch it again, the Dalek's gun flips to one side and takes out the webcam, thus making the companions view of Harriet turn to static - if the Dalek had just shot her, the webcam would still be running ...
@ Scorpio:
Brilliant! I don't know whether you have pinched a script or whether it is guesswork but I think you have it!
I still don't get the threefold man bit though. Is that explained at the end? Oh and does Jack time travelling wrist watch and the Doctor's sonic screwdriver have anything to do with the TARDIS being there at the end of the episode?
No?
Oh well, back to the drawing board...
Thanks Anon-y-mouse
And its time for more spoilers but before i do them i have to say i don't have the real script but my plots are 99% accurate
SPOILERS!
This is the ending however it is not as accurate!
The Shadow proclamation appear and sends the planets back in place but as they are doing so the doctor realizes that the Medusa cascade is still one second out of sink.
However using jacks Wrist manipulator he travels back in time and manages to save Donna and the tardis. They arrive back on earth but unfortunately the time jumps have affected donna and she is losing her memory!
Donna and the doctor say goodbye to Mickie and Martha who are joining torchwood meanwhile rose wants to return home so the doctor, Donna and rose go to the parallel world with the second doctor who decides he should stay and look after rose.
Sarah jane goes back with luke and the doctor finishes his doomsday conversation saying he loves rose but this time as a slight joke Rose doesn't get to say she loves him though she does smile!
At the end Donna has lost all her memory and returns to her job as a tempt though she does begin investigating aliens!
The episode ends with the doctor traveling back to Victorian London at Christmas but as he opens the door a Cyberman says "Delete!"
And the episode ends
Hope this helps and if it does turn out to be true i am really good!
Scorpio-- if that's all true, then I think I may just die of glee!
Thanks for giving me hope, at any rate ;)
just a thought but could the doctor split in two and one gets badly injured and regenerate with the 4th doctor as they said that white thing was another doctor. what do you all think ????
junk
duplicate doctors? nah, it's a lot of work filming DT in one place as doc 1 and in another as doc 2.
i thought the biggest clue for journey's end is in confidential at about 30 minutes in. maybe if you botch a regeneration it doesn't go forwards or sidewards..
my theory of donna is that she must b a time lady possibly rommana?
this is because in "the stolen Earth you can hear a double heartbeat which time lords have 2 hearts also she has a similar ring to the master and perhaps the time lords/ladys are given a ring dno y the doctor doesnt have one however if u remember the watch from series 3 which the doctor and the master used perhaps donna has one? In Italian, "Donna" means "woman", her much mentioned career of "temp" is a prefix in English and Latin meaning "time", and "Noble" can encompass "Lady" or "Lord". Put these points together, and you get the possibility of a Chameleon Arc ring hiding Donna's true persona as a "Woman Time Lord".
also a hint of the masters return that nessicerly this series but in the future because on his ring the symbol on it is much alike the symbol of lazurus(also the name of proffesor lazurus in series3 who made the age machine for the master), who brought jesus back from the dead perhaps the person who picked the ring up at the end of "the last of the time lords" has the power to bring him back.
also adding to my comment above i also maybe think that the ostenhagen key could b to do with unlocking time.
this could b used for someone to go back and safe the time lords from the time war or prevent caan from saving davros. harriet jones was very keen not for martha to use the key maybe cause shes working for the daleks? or maybe because the person who uses will lose their minds like caan did when he entered the time war
Scorpio You are a STAR!!!
So good to hear the ending i was wanting to know what happens for ages!
Can't wait to see the actual thing now!
XxX
Everything Scorpio says is either blatantly stated by Jess in the posts, or just gathered together from speculation. You should be thanking Jess, not Scorpio.
THANKS JESS GREAT SITE
What! What!
The final cliffhangar of the series is the regenerated doctor meets the David Tennant doctor (recreated from his hand and Davros' technology, used to create the daleks from himself) in the TARDIS. They then go on a jaunt to Victorian Earth and defeat Cybermen at Christmes.
