First off, a reminder that filming for Doctor Who starts tomorrow. Yays! Of course that doesn't mean that there will be a report straight away since a lot of filming happens inside. But fingers crossed right?
Also this blog now has over 100 followers! Well... it has 101 but thats still utterly amazing. So a huge huge thank you to everyone who follows PG, it means a lot to me.

i hope matt cuts his hair. it makes me all twitchy...its pretty gross. the doctor is supposed to look professional yet unkempt. this just looks plain ol "im trying to look like edward from twilight" (he doesnt pull it off)
i would hardly say tom baker was profesional or unkept.
I think Smithy needs to stop listening to what other poeple tell him the doctor should be like and let him discover it for himself.

No. The tabloids usually get things half-right at best. I wouldn't bet on seeing Michelle Ryan either, but she did well in Meriln.
For a little moment I tought the Paris Hilton stuff was a joke of some tabloid... If it's true...OH My God.... POOR David, and us!

I swear to god, I hear another comment about Matt Smith's hair by people using it to base whether or not he's right as the Doctor, I'm going to scream.
It's HAIR, for god's sake. Tom Baker himself proved that good acting trumps funny hair any day.

Michelle Ryan was good in Steven Moffat's excellent "Jekyll" a couple of years ago, so I would say she has to be considered as a possibility for the Doctor's new companion. The certainty of the report, smacks of having the same "egg on face" potential as all the reports that Patterson Joseph would be the new Doctor though.
Great to see Carey Mulligan (Sally Sparrow) mentioned as being in the running as well. I would love to see her in the full time companion role. But, for the moment she has to remain the best companion the Doctor never had.
