Episode Objective: To stop The Master from ruling Earth, and save The Doctor


Bullet-point Plot

• Tom on a beach
• Martha arrives
• They drive away
• The Master's singing
• The Doctor's in a dog kennel
• The Jones' have to serve him
• And Jack is chained up
• Lucy is still his companion
• Yet shows signs of abuse
• Martha meets Professor Docherty
• The Doctor, Jack and the Jones' try to stop The Master
• By getting the laser screwdriver
• But they fail
• The Master sends out a transmission
• Which Martha watches
• The Doctor is aged by 900 years
• And shrinks to a frail creature
• Martha smiles as he's still alive
• Martha says that:
• She was in India
• And saw a Toclafane
• That was struck by lightning
• Which disabled it
• She has the data
• Dochety says she can replicate the lightning
• She prepares a machine
• Tom fires a gun
• A Toclafane chases him
• And is disabled by the electricity
• They open it up
• And find a face inside
• They learn that:
• The Toclafane were conscious remains
• From the humans
• Of the year 100 trillion
• There was no Utopia
• Only darkness
• So they cannibalized themselves
• The Master appeared
• And took them back to Earth
• As he could only use the TARDIS
• To travel between those 2 points
• He then made the TARDIS
• Into a paradox-machine
• So that the Toclafane
• Could kill their ancestors
• Without the world ending
• Tom shoots the Toclafane
• Docherty talks to Martha
• And asks if the rumors are true
• Martha pulls out a gun
• With 4 chemicals
• That will stop a Timelord regenerating
• And kill them permanently
• Martha and Tom go to a shelter to hide
• Docherty tells The Master where they are
• Martha talks to the refugees
• About The Doctor
• The Master arrives
• Destroys the gun
• Kills Tom
• Captures Martha
• And takes her to the Vallient
• There is a countdown
• For The Master's fleet of ships
• To take off into space
• And declare war on other planets
• Martha is about to be killed
• She begins laughing
• And explains that:
• The gun was a fake
• Martha was traveling the world
• To talk to people
• Tell them about The Doctor
• And to think of him
• At a certain point
• She purposefully went to Docherty
• So that she would get captured
• And reunite with The Doctor
• The countdown ends
• The people begin thinking of The Doctor
• He uses the Arch Angel Network
• To enhance the psychic energy
• And rejuvenates
• He disarms The Master
• Jack goes to destroy the Paradox machine
• The Toclafane try to stop him
• The Master uses the Vortex Manipulator
• Transports he, and The Doctor
• Back to Earth
• He threatens to detonate the fleet
• And blow up the planet
• The Doctor knows he wont kill himself
• And takes the Manipulator off him
• They transport back to the Vallient
• Jack destroys the Paradox Machine
• Time reverses
• Only those on the Vallient
• Remembered what happened
• The Jones' want to kill The Master
• Mrs Jones points a gun at him
• But is talked out of it
• The Doctor says he's responsible
• And will look after The Master
• The Master is shot

• He asks if the drumming will stop
• Then dies
• The Doctor cremates him
• And leaves
• A womans hand is seen
• Picking up The Masters ring
• Sinister laughter is heard
• Jack goes back to Torchwood
• Mentioning his old home
• Where he was known as
• The Face of Boe
• Martha goes home
• She can't travel anymore
• As The Doctor doesn't love her
• She gives him her mobile
• A ship's bow crashes through the TARDIS
• Labled S.S. Titanic

The Master: I guess you don't know me so well... I refuse.

Captain Jack: But I keep wondering... what about aging? Cause I can't die, but I keep getting older... the odd little grey hair? Y'know? What happens if I live for a million years?
The Doctor: [amused] I really don't know.
Captain Jack: Heh, okay, vanity, sorry. Yeah, can't help it. Used to be a poster boy, when I was a kid, living in the Boeshane Peninsula. Tiny place. I was the first ever to be signed up for the Time Agency. They were so proud of me. The Face of Boe they called me. [smiles] I'll see you!
