Episode Objective: To check up on Pete Tyler, fix the TARDIS and return to the right universe


Bullet-point Plot

• A man is killed
• By a steel hand
• Professor Lumic sets sail for Britain
• Explosion in the TARDIS
• It falls out of the time vortex
• The Doctor declares it's dead
• Mickey says they're in London
• They look up to see blimps
• Realize its a parallel world
• And Rose sees her dad's still alive
• Pete Tyler arrives at a large house
• He gives Jackie some flowers
• Both are wearing ear pods
• Lumic uses Jackies ear-pods
• To download security info on her house
• Jackie doesn't realize
  
• The Doctor is worried about Rose
• He thinks she'll try and see Pete
• He spots a faint light
• A glowing power cell
• Meaning the TARDIS is alive
• And they can get home
• Crane works for Lumic
• He was told to get 'extra staff'
• So goes to some homeless people
• And convinces them to get in a lorry
• Jake tries to persuade them not to
• They ignore him
• The Doctor and Mickey find Rose
• She knows where Pete is
• And is going to see him
• Mickey also wants to wander off
• The Doctor follows Rose
• They walk along a street
• Everyone suddenly stops
• Their ear-pods bleeping
• The signal comes from Cybus Industries
• Which owns Pete's company
• The Doctor admits defeat
  
• And they go to find out more
• Mickey finds his grandma
• She calls him Rickey
• A van drives up
• Jake pulls him in
• Mickey meets Rickey
• The Doctor and Rose sneak in to Pete's party
• The Doctor explores
• Finds a laptop
• Sees Lumic's designs of the 'upgrade'
• The party is suddenly crashed
• As Cybermen smash through the windows
• They speak to the president
• Say they are human mark2
• And everyone will be upgraded
• The president refuses
• And is killed
• Jackie flees to the basement
• The Doctor, Rose and Pete escape
• And meet up with Mickey, Rickey and Jake
• They are all surrounded
• And are told they will be deleted

Mickey: From your kitchen?
Rickey: You got a problem with that?

The Doctor: They were. Until they had all their humanity taken away. It's a living brain jammed inside a cybernetic body, with a heart of steel. All emotions removed.
Rose: Why no emotion?
The Doctor: Because it hurts.
